    John, SchoolReports posted a video yesterday or a couple days ago, you don’t not need to rinse your meat! Fat freeze dries! He’s got the science to prove it. I think that’ll save some flavor for all of us FDers 😊

    I just watched this and I'm going to try it! I don't have any manwich but I have cans of chilli and beans I had bought to eventually freeze dry. I have a bag of tater tots in the fridge and 12 pounds of hamburger thawing that I planned to FD next. Thanks for the idea!!! I will report back how it goes..lol..

    Thank you for showing the reconstitution. Too many FD vids just say this, that, then. You've encouraged me to think bigger while await delivery.

    I really like seeing how you open up what you package. Gives me a great idea on what it would be like in real life scenarios. The attention to detail is great with even including the foil pieces.

    Just a cost saving suggestion: you don’t need to package up the one you are reconstituting. 😉 I think seeing two done up is enough to demonstrate.

    • @JohnInBibs
      @JohnInBibs  2 роки тому

      I have the vacmaster pro. It will seal 7 mil but only vacuums the bags that are textured. They are about 4 mil. I think I show the vacmaster in my lasagna video but can't remember

    I can’t wait until you reconstitute one of these after a year! Do you think it will keep longer than that? Love your videos!

    • @JohnInBibs
      @JohnInBibs  3 роки тому +1

      The tater tots are the weak link. I think I was careful enough, if I was then it should last many years. Time will tell! The clock has started.

    John i just got mt freeze dryer. I'm looking at a stainless steel table to put it on. Does the dryer or compresser vibrat? I'm worried about it walking off the table when its running.

    • @JohnInBibs

    Ok John, you make waiting for my FD VERY hard!! Question, if you have traces of oil does that make it Not long term and if so how long would you store them for?

    • @JohnInBibs
      @JohnInBibs  3 роки тому +2

      I really don't know the answer to that. I try to remove as much oil as possible and not use as much as I can get away with. Time will tell how long it will last but with a good O2 and a good seal I would think in my opinion for what its worth at least 10 years
