Hank there's something outta place on that disc gang. Your supposed to have it tight and there's to be a metal plate that goes on the gang bolt and once you tighten up the blades it is bent over the nut to keep it from backing off. The bearings or there's a disc out of place that's binding it up . On the downplayed that the bearing hub mounts is either outta line or something like that. The blades should turn easily. Once fully tight. They are to be tight to keep the blades from wobbling and thus breaking them. Also too the square center on the blades will follow out and blades turn on axle and eventually cut it in half. It's no fun rebuilding the gangs if it does cut in two. Reason I know some years ago I completely rebuilt a disc similar to that one it took me by myself a week just replacing worn blades and bolts and bearings. If it's an older disc it might have a grease hub and old rope type seals instead of bearing on each hub if it's that then you can pull the gang out the hub should be 2 part and held by some bolts you split it clean up the grooves and add that old rope seal on each outer groove and then once bolted halves you fill it full of some heavy grease then remount the gang on the disc. It's a long busy process. The worst thing is the square axle and the sleeves and bearing hubs are a pain to slide off. Everything has to be put on from one side. That axle has a big head on one end or a disc plat that is made to have a end cap plate that a disc blade slide against then a collat and blue again and so on . Then too a bearing hub has to go on in the proper space to bolt the gang to the frame. You look at one of the other gangs that's free and you'll see the way it goes together. Depends on the way they mount is the way you mount the blades to cut proper. Just also a heads up it ain't cheap replacing blades and bearings. But it will have to be done to keep it going or if you not wanting to do that then haul it to an auction and hope you at least get scrap price for it. Then use that money to buy one from auction that's in good shape to last a few more years. Because new it ain't cheap! Lol God bless!
That's really cool as always hang I always enjoy seeing the different things that you do whether it's the time that you spend with your father-in-law and other people and the time that you spend with your granddaughters and your wife it's just awesome to see the family time that you spend because now now that basically my family and I were basically to wear we basically split apart should say grew apart
likely a wore out bearing on that gang!!......if thats a standerd tractor start out with the disk in the air ....much easyer on the cluch!!....even if its a hydro its way easyer on the tractor to start with no load then put it in the ground!!
I don't know anyone that worked for him or did business with him. From what I heard, and take this with a grain of salt, was Kioti kinda forced his hand to do that.... all rumors though.
