      "Thanks" from Serbia, but here we don't strive to fix something by spraying WD-40 on it.
      IMHO usually doesn't work or works for very limited amount of time. Greetings!

    A very late response to your video, I bought a Stihl 135R string strimmer about 12 months ago, I used the string head without any problems when I noticed the circular scissor head, it looked good and more precise where strimming near delicate items. on the Stihl site it seems to be only suitable for the Combi setup, I made some inquiries with Stihl who were vague when I asked about fitting one to my straight shaft 135, I asked a couple of dealers one in the USA and a UK dealer who assured me it would fit and work, so for being helpful I ordered the item from the UK dealer as a reward for taking the time to help me out with information. I was wondering if you could give me an update regarding the vibration cure, as is it still vibration free ? my first lengthy session resulted in a severe cramping/vibration in my left arm, I first thought I was having one of those old age problems ! happily not :-) I gave it a good greasing and subsequent sessions have not caused the issue.

      I can't say I've had any experience with using the tool mentioned. But it certainly shouldn't be shaking you to pieces.

    Thank you for your information, my FS 26rc it's same as FS94R but no greasing bolt, I change inner shaft grease to new STIHL heavy duty grease and stop vibration. Also I use small cheep syringe inject into 4CC from shaft hole of gear head and no noise now.

    A greased like is quite irresistible. I see you were struggling not to touch it. 😊😵‍💫

    Actually re-greasing it is good. WD-40 isn't grease...it's barely a lubricant.

    • @MrGardener18
      @MrGardener18  3 роки тому +2

      yes, standard WD-40 isn't grease. that's why I used WD-40 lithium grease which is lighter than conventional grease but still offers good lubrication. I hope that clears it up for you.

    I have a fs131 lately getting vibrations in the shaft and the machine is making a ringing sound like a bell

    • @MrGardener18
      @MrGardener18  3 роки тому +1

      If the ringing noise is coming from the engine end of the shaft it's most likely coming from where the shaft meets the engine unite. there is a metal disc that can make a ringing noise. it not normally a problem but might be worth checking that the shaft and disc are spinning true.

    The background music distracts more than adds to this.

    Mine has a whining noise that goes away when full throttle but anything less than half throttle it whines rather loud(to me). Anyone know a solution for that?

    • @MrGardener18
      @MrGardener18  4 роки тому +2

      it hard to say. it could be the strimmer head or shaft are not greased enough or over greased. over greased gearboxes can make a whining noise.

    • @MrGardener18

      It could be a number of things but the most likey is the carb. The first thing i would do is give the carb a clean with carb cleaner that sometime dose the job if not you may have to replace it. its also worth checking the spark arrester on the exshust which can get blocked and stop it running properly. i hope these suggestion help.

      Thank you were i live in barbados these parts are expensive so im hoping this works

    • @zingodingo2816
      @zingodingo2816 3 роки тому

      The simplest thing to try is remove the spark arrestor and clean it well...maybe soak it in some kind of solvent overnight (gas/petrol might do it). Then take a wire brush to it....open up that screen.
