I just like how there are still tons of mushroom clusters outside of Conan's shelter in the game from people constantly peeing there.
After I Plat the game, I didn't play it anymore. I wonder how that world be like now: those bridges, ziplines, and yes, how many mushroom shrub now? lol

Lukas Rold The description says it’ll make you swim like an otter or something along those lines. I fell in water many times with it, and it makes me lie on my back, and Sam will keep doing otter-like gestures and you will always be able to float while on water. I don’t think regular suit ever did that, did it? Because it was so long ago I don’t remember. But I remember it wasn’t the same, I could be wrong though because ever since I’ve equipped the otter hat, I’ve always made sure I equip it for all my missions since it has saved me before.

Wasn't that the original plan? That PS4 demo, P.T., was for another Silent Hill game, made by Kojima and Del Toro and starring Norman Reedus.
Then Konami screwed over Kojima and he left to form his own company, so instead of a Kojima-created Silent Hill game, we got Death Stranding.

Never used them, just hematic grenades and later assault rifle level3. Carrying space is limited, why drag along weak stuff.

@@pixel9719 - I cleared the game and didn't know you could hold the touchpad to view the landscape better. In all honesty i didn't find it too important anyway. 🙂
Useful is a strong work for it. It´s handy at best if used when short of other methods like hermatics or lv3 rifles.
@@Kamamura2 That's where the grenade pouch is very useful. Also, use poop grenade to lure more BTs in a spot then yeet a hematic grenade.
The way he moved his arms when he said how the character doesn't want to be touched is EXACTLY how the character reacts when someone tries to touch him in the game's cut scenes.

@@Kumire_921 a lot of Japanese mega corporations don't put all their peas in one pod, Konami saw that gambling is more profitable so they switched business models.
Same reason why Mitsubishi used to make amazing cars but now they barely produce any. Mitsubishi is one of the largest corporations in the world, money is what drives the world not that the consumer actually wants.
Having never played a kojima game before and having doubted how death stranding is even after being aware of his reputation, I finally learned the lesson after picking up and playing the game now. Kojima is actually a genius. His rep is not a joke. I'm always gonna say Yes from now lol. I actually feel bad for getting this game for free. Def going to buy death stranding 2 full price!

Death Stranding was over sold and then under appreciated imo. Its a fantastic game and story. Geared more towards relaxing gameplay than action but still satisfying and rewarding.
I think that's the best way to put it honestly. Overhyped because hey it's kojima making a game without restraints from Konami but people assumed that it's going to be the be all end all of games. When that wasn't the case people turned on it.

Really thought it was a masterpiece and now it's being appreiciated now that its on Steam to mostly positive reviews. When the most hardcore gamers like your game its good. Most console gamers and youtube reviewers didn't get it everytime i see Death Stranding sucks video i want to strangle the person by saying your doing it wrong then show this is how you play right.

I got the game after I watched twd and was like “Hey Norman Reedus is in this game, I might give it a try, it looks pretty interesting.” And then it became my favourite game. It’s really immersive and relaxing and the story is amazing. I really like the thought of other players helping you out without even being there. But anyway I started to see what Hideo had also worked on and now I’m playing mgs.

I'm loving this game. I feel it will be a cult classic, not given the love it deserved after launch, but it will slowly find its audience over time, those who go in with expectations in check, undriven by hype.

I stared playing with high expectations and never disappointed with this game. This is a masterpiece but its not for everyone.
Amazing how relevant a story about an isolated world cut off from one another and a delivery man who doesn't want to touch anyone became so soon after it released.
Death Stranding was my "stay-at-home timewaster" during the height of the pandemic, and yeah, the parallels of the real world to the virtual setting definitely added a lot of poignant flavor and impact to the game's message.

As a director, watching all the little "Normanisms" in Death Stranding honestly excited me so much. It really feels like I'm watching actors act, rather than just be there to fill in a model and get a cutscene made and sold. It feels like a feature that would have been a joy to be part of.

I loved Death Stranding. Definitely not a conventional game by any means, but one of my favorite games in years for how immersive and unique it is.
Death stranding is like modern art, boredom put in a display case that is admired only because its unconventional and because its in a display case
I really enjoyed it too. Very engrossing and challenging.
When I started the game and it was evident that it was all basically "fetch quests", I was initially discouraged, and yet somehow Death Stranding takes the concept of a fetch quest and actually makes it challenging, often fun, and sometimes even really emotional. It takes some true creative genius to take a chore and make it the fundamental storytelling method in a way that stays engaging even dozens of hours into it.

I made it my goal to not fully progress through the game until I met Conan O’Brien. Worth it. That Otter hood was not just adorable, but it’s saved my deliveries multiple times. Awesome game.
Having Conan's hologram chilling by my zip-lines to greet people as they walk up w/ his silly hat and crazy poses is just the best.

@@ShivvyCroft I had to make my self sit and finish at some point and i totally get you. Game requires a lot of patience and free time. The first few hours, you are blown by the idea and the world, the mid part gets a little slow so i skipped all the side quests (thats where i kept on going despite of it getting a little boring) because i knew if i dont move on with the story, id never touch the game again (also knew kojima always delivers story wise and didnt want to waste my money by watching youtube vids) but the final 4 5 hrs of the game is absolutely amazing and it stays with you forever.
Notgon Nalie maybe if you’re not careful or don’t use trucks / roads, don’t use ziplines or fast travel, and don’t engage MULEs for resources

@Sean Shea yes, It has all of kojima's touches in it. If you're a long time fan of Hideo then it's one of the best come backs in gaming history. Even if you arent, it's still worth the time. You won't be let down.

Started playing death stranding again a couple weeks ago as the directors cut came out. I know it got mixed reviews, but it’s basically my most enjoyable gaming experience I’ve even had.
I’m glad to see actors and such open up to being in video games. What a wonderful time we are in

Loved Sam in Death Stranding! Conan was hilarious as well. Definitely one of my favorite games.
I feel Death Stranding is the best game produced in a long, long time. It's so difficult to encapsulate and explain why to people in a succinct way yet unfortunately too many people brushed it off early, but there really is an incredibly creative, ambitious, gorgeous, and frankly very fun and fulfilling game in there. I believe it's a game that will find its due appreciation as time goes on, it may have been a bit much for people who didn't know what to expect, but in the meantime, we have Death Stranding 2 with Reedus, Elle Fanning, Lea Seydoux, and others to look forward!

Side mission
You find him at the cosplayer's shelter. After doing a delivery for him you he gives you an otter-themed hat that actually improves your recovering if you get washed away in a river.
the game has tons of great cameos but morons like you probably just rushed the story missions and didnt explore the side ones.

Death Stranding was fantastic and oddly addicting. I put 117 hours into the game because I could not stop building stuff. Hahaha. I even made a little short animated parody as well recently.
I almost completed the whole road network and then discovered how much faster and fun zip lines were and concentrated on this instead. What an amazing game. I might complete it again on the PC.
Yeah, I built a ton of roads, but once I got in Mountain Knot it was all ziplines. Traversing those mountains were fun, but brutal at first lol

Death Stranding is by far one of the best and one of the most profoundly strange video games of all time. I am entirely convinced that not a single person was sober during the entire production of the game and IT IS A MASTERPIECE.
Playing the game again right now for thr PC release... and really I think this might be a record or something for the most detailed and robust use of MoCap of all time. Sam is super believable and expressive as a person inhabiting the world. And the acting from Reedus is great both vocally and classically.

This was posted a year ago, I get it. Just wanted to say thank you for adding your talents to one of the most beloved visionaries of our gaming generation. Death Stranding is art that so many of us crave from our preferred medium, and you supported it, and so, us. Hideo, Norman, Conan (and so many others): I expect you won't see this but it means a lot to me to be able to say thank you.

The graphics on this game are easily the best on any mainstream video game that exists. If you have an OLED, the landscapes (and everything else) seriously look real.

Since I loved Darryl Dixon so much as a tv character, its awesome to see Norman compare Sam Porter Bridges to his Walking Dead counterpart. I just finished the story to Death Stranding last night.
Wickedly deep game with a lot of lore written in via npc emails to the character, and log interviews with a TON of backstory.
Conan should be the Psycho Mantis for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid film.

stanford 95060 Konami kicked Kojima. Kojima couldn’t make the game if he wanted to. There’s no “instead”. Kojima did what he wanted and made this. I wish Konami treated him with respect and allowed him to finish silent hills but that didn’t happen.
Well, Hideo Kojima tweeted that he is in pre-production for his next project, and that he was rewatching a bunch of horror movies that put him in the same headspace he was in when creating P.T. Also, Norman Reedus has said that he is "in talks to do other stuff" with Kojima.
So we dont know if Kojima's next project is Silent Hill (which is a Konami property), but it seems like we can bet it will be a spiritual successor to P.T.
@@Jason_Van_Stone No we didn' get RE7 INSTEAD. RE7 release has nothing to do with canceling Silent Hill. The games has no connection to each other and their realease is totally indenpendent on each other.

Its not for everyone... some people hate it, some people love it ... Played it on PS4, probably one of the best games I ever played to be honest (and no, I am not some kind of weird Kojima fan :) )

If they do a pink floyd movie I'm sure it will be over produced and suck ass. They'll probably get the director from transformers7 or something to do it. Honestly I'd rather just watch the documentaries with interviews if anything.
