For those who are curious, Tosche Station is the name of a power station/repair shop which is located in the town of Anchorhead on Tatooine. One of Luke's friends worked there which is why Uncle Owen responses with telling Luke he can waste time with his friends later when Luke said that he was going to go to Tosche Station.

5:35 when they’re on Hoth is my favorite verse. The mood shift eludes to Luke encountering something truly primal and dangerous. Not sure about the intent but schmoyoho is thoughtful and cheeky enough that I’m going to believe that.
The Tosche station symbolises that thing in life we want to do that holds us back from fulfilling out destiny. We will always hold on to that thing and feel like we were robbed and that it was not fair, but we must fulfill our destiny!
Poor Luke, it really wasn't fair. He just wanted a normal life like any young person but bigger things ended that. And he never even got to Tosche Station.

Strangely, this made me think of us with obsessive personalities, anxiety or intrusive thoughts. It was kind of sad seeing this man literally wasting his whole life looking for something out of his reach and completely ignoring or disregarding the legendary adventure he was living in. Such a great reminder that sometimes you have to appreciate your journey and where you are now, and let go of stuff that only weighs you down.
He can save the galaxy from a planet killing weapon, best a Sith in combat, and become a Jedi master but he can’t get his power converters from the tosche station. His only flaw. 😔

Fade in on a massive, empty temple on Ahch-To. Luke lights a torch, illuminating vast piles of discarded machinery. He turns to Rey, a mad grin on his face.
Luke: I finally found them. I found all of them.

Luke: What I've been looking for my entire life. The very reason I left Tatooine.
Rey: I thought you left Tatooine to fight the Empire.
Luke: [laughing maniacally] That's what I WANTED everyone to think. Secretly, I was after the most precious stockpile in the universe. Take a look!
Luke grabs a piece of machinery from the pile closest to him and uses the force to float it over to Rey, who grabs it from mid-air. Rey examines the thing, puzzled.
Rey: I still don't understand. It all looks like speeder parts. A bunch of... garbage!
Luke: Oh no. It's the most precious thing you can ever own.
Rey: [frustrated] What, then?! Just tell me what I'm looking at!
Luke raises his hands in the air, begins to float above the ancient brick flooring. He soars to the vertical middle of the room, a triumphant smirk on his face.

Strangely, this made me think of us with obsessive personalities, anxiety or intrusive thoughts. It was kind of sad seeing this man literally wasting his whole life looking for something out of his reach and completely ignoring or disregarding the legendary adventure he was living in.
Such a great reminder that sometimes you have to appreciate your journey and where you are now, and let go of stuff that only weighs you down.
