- I have finally decided not to renew our Sam's Club Membership at this time. While I love it I feel like I always buy more than needed and cutting it out is an easy way to save us some money. So with cutting that out comes an increase to our usual weekly grocery budget. I used to give myself $150 to spend and now I plan to stay around $200.

Put the mango (avocado too) in a brown paper bag in the cabinet overnight or 2 and poof !! It’s ripe !!
Mangos are ripe if the dent when gently squeezed and like cantaloupe, smell sweet when you smell the stem area.
Oooo I saw some things I want to check out at my Aldi.
Try Tajin with your mango. It is a wonderful addition and cuts the floral aroma.
I love tajin so I'll be trying it on it for sure
Wrap the mango in a dish towel, check daily..

I no longer have a Sam's membership but in your case there is probably things you would like to buy in bulk to save money. I enjoy your videos.
I never liked mango but my kids did. Once I cut it up when it got very very soft not knowing if it was still good so I tasted it before giving it to my kids and it was completely different and I loved it.

I think the sticker on mangos shows the color when ripe.
Put the mango by the bananas. The bananas will help it ripen. Keep an eye on it though.

We decided the same with Sam’s club. More times than not, I was finding things were just cheaper at Walmart so I wasn’t using it anyways! Personally, I love using Walmart Delivery cuz I have Walmart plus but if I had time to go to Aldi’s, I prolly would for produce. ❤

I’m the same way with mango. It’s one of the only fruits that I don’t like fresh. But I do like the dried mango.

I am seeing items that I don't have at my Aldi. Your store must be much bigger than mine. I wish ours had alot more variety.
We eat mangoes like that with salt.. They’re sweeter when they are ripe.
I love that plan! Sometimes I wonder if I really save money shopping at Costco.
I know I definitely save money on the things that I buy in bulk like Mac and cheese, toilet paper, meat etc. But I know I spend too much because I always end up buying extra stuff
I left Sam clubs 2 yrs ago I missed but I find Aldi cheaper. When I want to shock up on meats I go to Aldi a few more times in the morning to find markdown meats
Recommendation on liking fresh mangoes that has worked for me. I find that I don't like the floral smell so I separate and discard the skins (where I think a lot of that smell resides) and the pit from the flesh and cut it in to thinner pieces and put it in a bowl with the juices. I think the juice helps it a lot to taste sweeter. Good luck

Frozen mango chunks are lovely! Almost always the perfect ripeness. I let a couple thaw to soft but still frosty, and eat them in the summer😋 also a good addition to smoothies

Is there a specific reason you're not renewing you Sam's membership? I ask because they're having this crazy low cost of joining for $14! I wish I waited to renew for that price.
I can't get that deal because I'm already a member. I even tried with a new email and they recognized me by the card I tried to pay with. But basically I would save money by bulking my usual stuff in bulk but I always end up also buying stuff I don't need. So I'm doing it to save money

I would neve be disappointed wih that bag of shrimp no matter the size. 95 percent I swear of shrimp sold here in this country at least are farm raised. ANd not NEARLY the same as wild caught. You got wild caught. They are NOTHING alike. Shrimp was my favorite food most of my life and now I will rarely touch it if I don't know it is wild caught although some can fake it up pretty gooda and cook it to fool until the mintue it loses temp, etc. or one goes to leftovers. A food is only as good as what the creaure would naturally eat. Not some cheap meal they feed it. JMO. I won't order fish or shrimp off a menu if it idoes not confirm wild caught. Two of my former loves. Just like chicken, there is a reason free range is a term now that makes them more popular. One used to be able to assume this with our foods.
SO I am just saying don't be disappointed that bag of shrimp wasn't the size you want, wild caught can be hard to find and Aldi does carry one or two but I have absolutely NEVER found them in stock, they are always sold out.
