  • Here’s another Aldi shopping video except this time, I share all of the prices of everything, show a few meals that we made from the food items that I bought, share my grocery shopping list hacks, and even go over some of the reasons why Aldi is able to sell their products for such low prices! I hope you guys enjoyed this video and I’m happy to do this again!
    Here's my last Aldi shopping video!

      @gloryk814 I edited my previous post to say this. Both are owned by brothers and German based. You will see slight similarities, but the bakery is chef's kiss. (Apple Turnovers). Thank me later. 😂🤣😂🤣

      @@rayofsunshine3697 Almost correct. Aldi and Lidl are not owned by brothers. Aldi is owned by the Albrecht family and Lidl is owned by the Schwarz family. Have nothing to do with each other, but they are competitors. In Germany, you can say where there is an Aldi, there is a Lidl, often across the street from each other. In Germany, there are two different Aldis, they are owned by brothers, or were, because they passed away a few years ago (they were in their late 80s/early 90s), so their kids and grandkids own the stores now. That being said, in the US, you only have one Aldi. However, the part of the family that owns the other Aldi in Germany and certain other countries does own Trader Joe's in the US.

    Growing up we always shopped at Aldi. Always great deals! Some foods I don’t care for the off brand they have, but love most of their products. Local produce here is unfairly higher than imported and are smaller quantities. A 1lb thing of strawberries imported from California is the same price and a local green house grown pack that's half the size. A bag of carrots grown and packaged here is like 3$ here and 98 cents in America. None on this (meaning the way the government is doing things here where I am) makes sense LOL😅

    I’m weird about chicken too. The best way to cook it for me is in the crockpot. I put the whole package in with some sauce and cook it on low for at least 6 hours. When it’s done I put it on a baking sheet and brush it with same sauce and then Bake it at 425 for 5-10 mins to get a nice crispy coat on it. Everyone loves it (even my picky child) and you can change the sauce so it’s versatile and just super easy!

    I like to cook chicken in the crockpot, instapot, or air fryer. Super easy! I buy the bigger packs of chicken fresh, then put in freezer baggies and add my favorite marinades, then freeze. The chicken marinates nicely when you thaw out in your fridge the day before you cook it. Makes it nice and juicy too and not dry. 😎
    Some of my favorite marinades is Italian dressing & teriyaki sauce.

    Aldi Hack: Bring a laundry basket and put it under the cart as you shop. Then as I check out I put all my groceries into the laundry basket. I can easily put it into the shopping cart and into my car. No bags are needed.

    Ooh some things look cheaper than what I buy at joe v’s (the discounted heb store for all my Texans) but my nearest aldis is 9 miles away and joe v’s is only 4 miles away so🥲 but I really appreciate this video if I ever move away from this area I’ll definitely be going to Aldi’s! I also didn’t trust them, how the prices could be so cheap but you cleared up my suspicions lol

I did a video for the dip and chips I haven't post it yet too tiktok 😂 but you should try them and with my tofu I did tacos plus the turkey meat for the rest of my family. Also ground turkey you can make turkey balls and bake them in the stove get you some brown gravy and how you some rice and some veggies on the side and their go to your dinner

    chile, I use to work at aldi.. I wish the coin trick work...bc people still leave it all over the parking lot LOL.The work is tedius sadly, the cashier is also the one to stock shelves if there is no lines..but that's not the only thing
    no lines: Clean bathroom, stock shelves, go through bad items or torn goods, front the items to make it look neat, remove empty boxes and front the new boxes.
    When store closes...lol when you thought your shift finishes at 8pm, u you gotta stay extra hours to take all the empty boxes at the back, front the items...to appear full for the morning truck. Clean the floor with the cleaning device. Basically aldi lets you do everything, and with the small staff ..you can't have only morning shifts, you rotate with the next employer. Only one or two gets away because they are new parents(Aldi is following a history on how it started with a small staff and sticks to a small staff)
    when the store gets busy then everyone on the floor goes to the till to reduce the lines. This was before self check outs when I use to work there.- I'm guessing it reduces the never ending task
    Anyway, I still love shopping at Aldi but gotta think twice working there . As soon I got a call for an interview and got hired 3 days after.. I left that job so fast!

    • @EmmaHope88
      @EmmaHope88 2 місяці тому

      That's fairly normal for all grocery stores around here. You do pretty much everything. Some bigger stores hire some extra people (part-time) to help stock the shelves in the evening. But then again, a lot of the people who work there, though not all, have a three year apprenticeship behind them and have actually gone to school for something relating to stores and how to run them and such.

    • @quasar4472
      @quasar4472 2 місяці тому

      @@EmmaHope88 I forgot to mention "overnight shift for all departments" which help make the store appear nice and full in the morning, is norm but for Aldi is just anyone who stays until 8pm..so you won't leave until after 1..2 am?
      Just to compare, not trying to complain but..I did wish I learned about the "merge" of you do everything everything..but.. I did feel the "history" if that's their aim.
