my first ever Calamity experience and what a devastating and intense boss it was! This moment takes over my first time beating Slime God which took roughly 50 deaths

You should try whip stacking the kaleidoscope with the morning star to give your minions a 22% crit chance boost. If not, then you should use the morning star as it has a 12% crit chance bonus, which is better than kaleidoscope.

"after 200 deaths" my first playthrough ever was melee and it was 3 deaths, as rogue it was 13 deaths but mostly because the fight lasted on for 11 minutes when I got him to 80% hp due to my trashy weapons. Then on the rogue playthrough I proceeded to beat the game for the first time and I nearly cried out of happiness

I think one of the reasons you had such a tough time is that you went summoner which is one of the hardest classes, especially for a first time calamity player.

I beat DOG in 8 tries on revengence. 100% a tough boss, wouldn't be able to beat it without the rod of discord.

i just defeated infernum dog after 206 tries, i've never played death mode. I jumped from Revengeance to fucking infernum. I was shaking when I beatead him

Also witches broom (I think it was called that?) From pumpkin moon helps alot during the laser wall phase

Yes I did use almost every vanilla potions available
Also I had the Witch's broom, it's just that my fingers were too stiff to react quick enough

I played as melee class I got only 690 hp also I already consume all permanent buff tho

Bloodflare Armor provides +40 max health so I went from 690 to 730
