Yes it’s *totally fine* to use there if you don’t have any problems. I actually have very reactive, sensitive skin, but for some reason, I tolerate compound 1% Tretinoin/niacinimide/Azealic acid just fine. I use it all over my face, neck, chest and arms. I have to use both on my face any ways due to severe eczema, so I also added a retinoid. I started with adapalene, but I have found that my face is so immunosuppressed it tolerates huge amounts of Tazarotene no problem.
Does the same apply for glycolic acid?
Hmmm so I should be using my retinal first ?? I was using it as my last step ( before my moisturiser) at night because I followed the "consistency " rule used water based serums first n then retinal thicker consistency... so this is wrong ??
Wait I should not put it on the lines around my mouth???
I think it's because it's generally more sensitive around that area.
@@susanelizabeth3200 I mean isn't retinol for fine lines I'm just confused since some dermatologist say yes and the others dermatologist say not advised! And i don't know who to listen to :/
@@KELA59it just depends on what your skin can tolerate, it sucks that the most sensitive areas (around the eyes and mouth) are also where lines form. start slow and introduce very little product to these areas buffered with a thick moisturizer. then see how your skin reacts and go from there.
@@LnRit02 Okay I'll try the sandwich method then thanks
Is that the amount I’m supposed to use? I kinda use a pea size to cover my full face
Am I do it wrong?
And I apply around my lips also cuz of the open pores everywhere
Should I stop using that? And if yes, then what should I do for my open pores?
I have sensitive skin and hell no, even if I use all of the stuff and near 0% of retinol my skin will burn to ash.
We tried to adapt my skin for retinol for 1.5 years and hell no.
it's not for everyone
What kind of serum? I'm so lost.. I know nothing with Vit C or acids right?
I could layer 10 products under retinol and I’m still gonna wake up with burns 😢 Have yet to find a single “active ingredient” that doesn’t feel like I just poured lava on my face.
why are you putting it on if it burn your face?
@@passengershamingparody because I was a dumb 20 year old that thought burning and redness meant it was working. Now I’m my 30’s I understand patch testing.
@@ezzie_is girl, that's fair - I totally get it! :)
I use nip fab and I have urticaria and super sensitive skin. Even the weather and sometimes just water makes me sick. But Nip fab and aveeno exfoliate works for me . I hope you find something good for you❤😢
What brands do you recommend for sensitive skin? I am dry on my t-zone with some redness.
What is a good basic skincare routine for mid 40’s and not fancy.
What can you put around your mouth? Especially if you’ve got hyperpigmentation and strong ass smile lines?? That area is sensitive already so I appreciate any input!
You used a teensie weensie amount...is that we are supposed to do??
Can you put the zinc baby bum bum cream as the last step??
Mckay's face as he considered the idea that chicken's could be reptiles 😂
would it be a good idea to use tretinoin at 0.01% after buffing if you are a beginner with sensitive skin?
I want to know why you’re not using around your mouth? My chin and mouth surely need it! I have sensitive skin.
People with discoloration if we do t apply around or near lips will it not creat different textire of skin at different places
What’s the exact amount you use on your face. I find a pea size is almost not quite enough to do a whole face and neck
What's the point of using retinol then, if you can't use it in the most wrinkly areas.....
What If my acne is around my mouth....should i still avoid adapalene around that area...
I do have blackheads and whiteheads there and just started adapalene 2 weeks ago....
If not how should I treat em
Did you find an answer? Do please share
Why do we avoid around the mouth? am I just putting it on my cheek and forehead?
What happens if you apply serum like retinol close to the mouth?
Can you explain why not around the mouth?
Where can I get tretanoin?
What is the prescription brand so when I ask my Dr he can prescribe me the correct one . The one I am using now by prescription is Retin-A Micro .1% by Bausch Health .
Why shouldn’t we use retinol around the mouth?
Re: Normal - Should we allow the Retinol dry for 30 minutes before adding Serum/Vit. C/Moisture?
