Laura you are such a blessing to me during lockdown . I was very much depressed as I lost my job and had to depend on my parents in 2020 and had no motivation to wake up in the morning but then I found your channel and I started planting and caring flowers and my mind is now relaxed. Once again thankyou for saving me
Hope you are doing better in 2021..... hope you gain employment soon and get back to normal. Taking care of plants is therapeutic. Anything close to nature is therapeutic in my opinion. Take care of yourself and your plants 🪴.
There are wonderful things ahead for all of us who have suffered the past year, I just know it! I am so happy to have found Laura and her family and the garden community. You are all like family to me now! When I feel a little low, I visit my local garden centers. Stay safe and well 💕💜💙
Your videos are such a joy to watch because of your "eye" for POVs. I appreciate the time you take to set those up. They really help to make the video flow seamlessly. And the editing is top-notch too! It all comes together to make very professional looking videos that are both informational and entertaining. I just wanted to thank you for your time and effort.
I always see such beautiful pieces in your parent's garden center!! If I didn't live on the other side of the country, I would be there buying things constantly...haha
Those Monsteras really do look so fully and happy! My Monstera was $12.99 at Trader Joe’s, and while it’s very happy, it’s nowhere near as full as these
The grouping looks lovely!💚 Andrew's must have a great source for their green plants as they always look amazing and I love the identification tags that come with them. I have been in the Floral industry for more than 35 years and have never seen such consistent quality. Your community is so blessed to have your parents garden center, and their attention to detail, available to them! I can't wait to see your finished mantel💛
Always enjoy a trip down to the garden center with you! I love how Andrew's offer plants with tags giving their actual names and not generic like 'fern', 'peperomia', etc. Even the spider plant was identified!
I love when you get excited about plants that are from more tropical climates! It makes me happy that a little bit of our south makes your (gardening) day! :)
The COWch painting is still there! IDEA: I’m wondering if installing an antique fireplace facade in the studio would be a nice backdrop for videos, maybe some full wall wainscoting would add texture and help it settle into the space. You could decorate the mantle with things you find while antiquing (of course) and change it as the seasons go, or as you feel like it. It would give the studio that cozy look! Some nice floor lamps and soft chairs would complete the space nicely too! Love your videos, I look forward to seeing them every week!
Oh my gosh I needed this video. I had plans this weekend to take care of my house plants. We're going to do some rearranging and cleaning them up. This couldn't have come at a better time.
Hi Laura, I had to make a trip up to Boise/Emmett for a few days, and I actually got to go check out your parents' garden center on Tuesday, the 17th! I got to meet your mom and your sister!!! Such a treat!!!! Your mom is so sweet (not to say your sister isn't but she's so quiet...). I saw the pepperomias sitting there also--if I could have managed to take one home in my luggage I would have! Your mom had just finished setting up the table in the "bare spot" near the sun room with all the new Spanish pottery--I did manage to buy 2 of them and she's shipping them for me. Can't wait to get them here (Tucson). Had to explain about the splits in the split leaf philodendron to my 20-year-old grandson. They are such great plants. Really do like the mixture of baskets and pots for the mantel plants--very nice! We'll be back up your way in the summer--Mary
I have a big mantel and suddenly it seems quite bare, haha! I'm totally inspired :) Off the wall question...you always have coffee in different beautiful cups and you've mentioned drinking strong coffee. I'm wondering, what kind of coffee do you drink? Thank you so much for all of your inspiration Laura--you're the first thing I look for every morning :)))
Oh man, it is so fun seeing the things at your parents garden center, especially the things that are different than my local garden center. I am so excited to go shopping in the future! Andrews staff creates such wonderful displays. Well done!
You have a great eye for design Laura! It was so cool to watch how fast you were able to choose your plants...beautiful selection! Loved the chubby birds too :)
Hurrray happy to see Laura back again with new fresh projects. The combination of in-house plants are beautiful. Love the snow always . In fact we just had our first snow storm for the season here in Jordan 🇯🇴 and just was hectic work moving some of the plants indoor to protect it from freezing temperatures. Beautiful video and can't wait to see the new orders of plants at the centre.
Beautiful mix of plants and pots. I love those unique stone concrete pots and the birch pots are different too. Totally agree with you about the terra cotta - sometimes just looks too orange. Watching you work is always a lovely way to enjoy my morning coffee, during a snow storm. Your parents garden center is such a treasure. I might have to plan a trip to Oregon just to see it in person.
Hey guys hope you and your family are doing well, I am here on the west coast of Ireland just getting ready to start seeds for my summer garden, can you give us an update on your seedlings ?
Hi Laura! It's always fun going with you to the garden center and seeing all of the beautiful plants. I love the selection you picked and the containers you chose to put them in. I'm anxious to see them on your mantle and where you put the Philodendron Hope and fiddle leaf fig. Also, I'm anxious to see what your Mom puts in the empty space and the new shipment of plants they get in. Thank you so much for taking us with you and sharing!
I just wish I had a store like this near my home!!! I’m stuck with Home Depot and Walmart plants, which are never well cared for. Plus you have so much choice...very envious!!!🥰
I may be totally wrong but I think that black fabric pattern is a window pane check. Just a trivial thing really, doesn't really matter. You and your Mom have such a natural eye for beauty. I might see things I think are pretty but not how to put things together in such a beautiful way as you and your Mom. But that’s another reason I keep watching. I hope the way you look at things will help my mind to see more of the beauty in my surroundings. Also it's just fun to watch anyway.
You have no idea how much all your videos have inspired me. With the recent loss of a treasured pet , I found filling the house with plants very therapeutic. Something to help me grieve by nurturing a living thing. It was a good thing our local Gardner’s Supply had a recent buy one -get one half price sale!! Like Aaron, my husband is very supportive about all the new “green babies” , and knows this is just what I need to do. Here in NH the winters are long, and surrounding ourselves with green is a way to help us remember that spring and summer will come! I’ve learned so much! Thank you!

So what was needed today! It is currently snowing again, it’s beautiful & peaceful, but I really need to get out in my yard!! Thanks for taking us along with you, can’t wait for the return trip to see the new shipment of house plants. Oh and these beauties on the mantle.
Thought the new studio was a great location for this video. Seemed spacious and highlighted the plants so well. The new white table top was very cool as well. Just wanted you to know ! Blessings.
It's always a pleasure to follow you at your parents' garden center. I think garden centers are my favorite place to shop with craft stores. :) Great choice of plants Laura! Can't wait to see the finish look on your mantel! 💚💚💚
Hi Laura , a great tip is Green Glow spray leaf shine, I used it in my flower shop to shine my leather leaf and mixed greens and keep all the plants I sold shined up! Great selection I love the spider plants ,they were my favorite for prom and wedding work.💜
Great balance!!! Nice to have those baskets on hand. Upcycling at best.My favorite is the split leaf philodendron, I have several , enjoy how the leaf is whole, then it splits😊🌿♻️❤️

Thanks for the indoor friendly video 😀 I really hope you film going back to the garden center when the new shipment of house plants come in!! Also, don’t forget to show us what your mantle ends up looking like 🍃🌿🌱
You putting those plants into the truck reminded me of the video years ago at the town house when Aaron “caught” you coming home with more plants. He thought he got you guuuud 😂 and you were like...but it’s what I do! And here you are today. Doing what you do!!

In South Africa we call the big bold leaf plant with splits a Delicious Monster and is one of my favorites!!😁 Take care🌿🏡💐
Welcome to the winter wonderland world! You are inspiring me to go houseplant shopping! Love those houseplants! They will look gorgeous on your mantle! Love the baskets especially the grow bags! Love the groupings, can't wait to see them on the mantle! Anxious for part 2! 😊🌿🪴
If the black check burlap one won't cooperate you could probably stuff some newspaper around the plant between it and the burlap pot to give it shape?? Looks great Laura!
After watching you at the garden center. I totally went to my center the next day. I was only going to get two house plants. Came home with 12. It’s been raining for a few days. So doing a few projects indoors is perfect this weekend.
Hey Laura, you are so inspiring. Just watched video on your trip to get houseplants. I'm going to go dust my plants ! I've been watching you for the last year and I have learned so much. I like how you get down to business and get stuff done ! I have also started tomato seeds, basil, and rosemary. Plan on starting snapdragons too. Thanks for all you do to teach us! It seems like you never slowed down for a minute since Samantha Grace was born. I'm glad you have not changed your original format on mail time and weekly videos. Thanks again.
Great haul! I have almost all of those, but mines are very mature. I love houseplants, been collecting them for years. You have inspired me so much with my gardens, especially with containers. Thank you for all that you do, it is so appreciated.
You are such an inspiration!!! I love your plant choices and the containers. When I purchase a plant (which is rare these days...I already have a lot) I clean the leaves off with a diluted solution of neem oil and then put the plant in isolation for a couple weeks just to keep an eye on it. I’ve heard people use milk, mayonnaise but a damp cloth works. My mantle is so bare right now, I can’t wait to see your finished project. It’s a good thing for me no one in my family owns a nursery😀 I would owe and be in big trouble. I love your parents nursery and your mom is so sweet...you are one lucky camper!
You do great by isolating them. After reading these two articles, I stopped using Mayo to shine the leaves. There is no benefit to using the mayo on your leaves, and it may even clog up stomata, which are necessary for the plant to take up water. Simply washing off leaves with a spray of water is all your plants will ever need by way of leaf cleaning.Nov 2, 2017 www.adn.com/alaska-life/gardening/2017/11/02/readers-ask-should-you-put-mayonnaise-on-your-houseplants/#:~:text=There%20is%20no%20benefit%20to,by%20way%20of%20leaf%20cleaning. After watching you at the garden center. I totally went to my center the next day. I was only going to get two house plants. Came home with 12. It’s been raining for a few days. So doing a few projects indoors is perfect this weekend.
Laura, you are not suppose to lift things up! Very pretty plants, can't wait to see them arranged. Hugs🤗💜
Always love going to the garden center with you! I myself love looking at all the goodies 😉
Simply washing off leaves with a spray of water is all your plants will ever need by way of leaf cleaning.Nov 2, 2017

SAY NO TO PLANT SHINE

When Laura said "maybe i'll just get the mantel started today and fill in the gaps when the houseplants come in" and then just keeps adding more plants to her little haul! I forget how big her mantel really is haha
