Baby beaver born at Poole Farm

We’ve got some lovely news to share… a baby beaver has been born at Poole Farm!
The kit emerged from the beaver lodge for the first time last week but we think he or she (we don’t know yet!) was born several weeks ago.
This video, taken from the cameras inside the seven hectare wilding enclosure, shows the kit already adapting to the world; nibbling at sticks and bumbling around the pond with its proud parents and doing practise lengths to hone it’s swimming skills.
The fantastic news comes in the same week that a report was released that details the positive impact that the beavers have had water flow in the Bircham Valley.
