    Osama, this is such beautiful footage. I am working on a short film of Palestinians displaced in the US. Would I be able to use some of your shots of Palestine? You portray it in such a nostalgic way, I think it really depicts the way many of them talk about it.
    Please let me know,
    Eric

    I strongly doubt that it is "so much fun" for ordinary Palestinians. Especially for those not so fortunate to live in Ramallah. And especially for those who happen to live in Gaza -- there, there is no "fun" at all.

    • @OsamaAbedTheAmazingDirector
      @OsamaAbedTheAmazingDirector  6 років тому +1

      agreed 100% This is why THIS video is only about ramallah.. I doubt a video about gaza would look anything similar to this video.

      But they do manage to live happily and they insist to sing and dance Dabkah.
      Mohamed Assaf is a very simple example from Gaza and the children band that won the golden buz few years ago and many others

    How come the last girl calls herself a foreigner, she clearly was speaking Palestinian Arabic to her Palestinian father??? I'm confused

  • @maysal2801
    @maysal2801 6 років тому +3

    Also, it's wrong imo to be depicting Palestine as being this ''fun'' place full of ''parties and concerts'' this is ramalalah, because most of the young, liberal Palestinians live there and it's under Abbas/Fattah control. That's not the reality, the reality is Palestine is much more conservative

    • @OsamaAbedTheAmazingDirector
      @OsamaAbedTheAmazingDirector  6 років тому +1

      Ramallah is very far from being conservative society. It's basically the only city in In the west bank that has this little bit of freedom only because in all honestly Ramallah is a big bubble and it's shielded away from most of whats going on with other surrounding villages or cities like Nablus,Hebron,Jenin ect.. I'm not saying thats a good thing, but I'm trying to say is despite daily hardships Palestinians try to live a normal day to day life...Try..

    The westernization in Ramallah is just wrong. With our proud religion, we have our own heritage, culture, originality, proud history and understanding. Halloween!? Give me a break. This is called Jahiliyia

    • @Natadangsa
      @Natadangsa 6 років тому +2

      Islam can embrace western cultures. Islam balances those two cultures and thus, creating a modest Western-Eastern culture. So don't be so rigid ! Like what we say in our language: "Ojo wagu-wagu !"

    • @basilal-qaneh5998
      @basilal-qaneh5998 6 років тому +1

      Wrong. Classical Arabic culture included western ideas, values and systems. We are not Saudi Arabia or the Gulf, never have been, never will be.
