It turned out beautiful Mary but it didn't work as i was thinking. I was thinking the blooms would look like a full flower from the sides. You could've used colors wherever you wanted! It's not that you did anything wrong. I was just wrong about how it would look. The only thing I can think of is maybe smaller blooms that don't reach the outsides? I'm not even sure if it's possible, it was just an idea! Thank you for trying! It still came out beautiful.
Yes Mary I agree the first bloom should be small and then build upon that with the petals and I think the leaves would reflect through the petals as well. But I do think it is pretty cool!!
I think it’s fantastic. I agree wth the top bloom being much smaller however from the top you can see the bloom underneath. Love it, you really worked so hard on this. Shame about the cheeks but hopefully they’re just brung pains on the arse & will eventually set
I think it's awesome. Maybe he could be on display by your work surface, like Michelle's hippos, which are very cute. 😊 Give potential clients something to think about. 😃😍
😮 You have far more patience than I would for something like this. Oh no! That’s so weird that the cheek bones didn’t cure right. 😢That is absolutely stunning! ❤❤❤
Yes maybe likeyou said with making the top one smaller so you could see the one under neath more on the sides from top looking down. 🤷? But it is very cool looking. 😊
Very nice 👍🏼 I would maybe try making all coaster sizes and place the coasters in layers. Still very nice. 💀 ❤❤❤ I like how the purple flower shadows the eye sockets.
Dude!! I'm impressed! I thought you might be a bit crazy at first, and I'm not saying you aren't (😁) but you totally rocked this challenge!! So cool! Btw...love your videos! Please keep them coming!🤩😍👏
Wonder if had a bigger gap between each bloom so not so close together might see all the blooms better. I have no idea ive not got the patience to do one😊
Hi, interesting bloom skull! For me, I would think the color bloom 1st layer should be not so much heavy color to show the bloom layers under better. Same with the 2nd bloom layer, not as heavy. Just thinking aloud. Lot of work in this pour! Kudos! Will the cheekbones cure? ❤
@resinmeup it's so nice that I can share my thoughts and receive an open minded response. I did that with one artist whose completely negative response back rather alienated me and made me hesitant to share my thoughts at all. And after all, it's not like I know anything haha! You did great work on this skull! 👏 I really enjoyed your video!
@@jenniferr8195 you are always welcome to give your feedback here Jennifer, I encourage it. Its how we all learn together, my channel isn't about me, its about teaching and sharing my knowledge, but girl, I don't know everything and I welcome new ideas, experiments whatever, just throw it out there. You won't ever get backlash from me sister. Xoxo❤❤
@resinmeup and that's why I look for your videos first and look forward to them so much! I think you are the absolute best person and definitely an amazing teacher! I just have to get some resin to try some of the things you do! The little I have is old and has yellowed! Not sure if I can even use it!
It looks like it wearing a toupee. Haha! No offense. Maybe if you did the white blooms all the way down. Or maybe angle the mold and do a bloom then angle the mold on the opposite side, do a bloom. Basically have a bloom on all 4 sides. Idk just a thought. It would be a lot more work maybe. But would be cool to see if it worked out. It’s always great to see the experiments. Gives us different ideas on one experiment. I have contact dermatitis on the palm of my right hand and yes the gloves do seem leak through. I am glad to hear there is a thicker glove I can try and that I can get them at Menards. Definitely going to give them a try. Maybe my hand will heal. After 2 years it would be nice. Thank you for all your hard work, ideas and your creativity! Faithful watcher!! ❤❤❤
Hi me again newbie question do you wait till the resin is fully set before adding another layer or not as I have heard that if your resin has hardend you need to sand it down to make another layer stick don't know how true that is so we're wondering thank you for this amazing video much appreciated ❤
Hi Judith, you can wait if you want to until each layer is cured, but when you do this on a layered design it will show each cured line in the final piece. By leaving it tacky the next layer will merge into the tacky layer and not leave a distinct line. No sanding is required because resin bonds to resin. You can put any resin on top of cured resin, UV resin, polyurethane resin its all cohesive. Hope this helps🌻❤😊
I love the way it turned out! So beautiful!❤❤
Thank you Ry pie😊❤
@@resinmeup glad to help you with some of the fun projects with you!❤❤❤❤😻
It turned out really cool ❤
Thank you Tammy🌻❤😊

Thank you Hayley, but I think I want to try this again, but in a round flat mold. A big one. I have a 14" and a 24" round that's like 2-3" deep.
It is very striking!!
Cool idea @hayleymariemills
Thanks!
@@resinmeup I'm excited to see you try again! You're right, a different mold may work better!

Thank you Beverly, I appreciate your feedback😊❤🌻
That did turn out really cool looking! Definitely tell Michelle over at Glitz and Glitter about those gloves.
Thank you Denise😊❤🌻 Will do.
It looks amazing. Fantastic idea. It has a lot of potential for different effects ❤❤

@@resinmeup you are very welcome. 🤗
Cool idea. It turned out beautifully. I would like to see your next one too.
Thank you Jeanie, I'm working out the details, but it won't be in a skull this time😊🌻❤

Thank you, in the beginning I had actually thought about doing that, that's why I did the first one, should have went with my gut🤷😊❤🌻

The skull is beautiful but where did you get that gigantic skull mold?😊😊😊😊
Thank you Theresa. Its from Amazon, I've had a few years now, but I linked it in my description box. I use it a lot during Halloween.🌻❤😊
Wonder if had a bigger gap between each bloom so not so close together might see all the blooms better. I have no idea ive not got the patience to do one😊
I'm going to try this again, but not in a skull, I think it can work, but maybe on a larger scale🤔😊🤞

Putting yarrow root powder on your hands before putting on your gloves might help as well.

The white stripes make it kind of look like agate! Maybe you didn’t need the leaves? Looks great though!

Yes you can add another layer while it’s still in the mold. No sanding

Thank you so much for the advice. Now I can finish my project at last. I was too scared to finish it and messing it up ❤
That's strange about the cheek bones. That's a ton of resin, maybe in a day or so it will cure. I do like it though😊
Thank you Ali🤞😊❤
