Totally, on a smaller technical track like T-Hill West in CA.... it's instant torque has it pulling away from usual 600s and even like a gsxr750 even w/comparable riders. On a track with longer straights and wider sweeps tho it loses to them of C. Also a fully set up RS with weight reduced more and top suspension is a different animal than stock.... it'll run right with the typical 600 but that's money invested.
@@viarnay Skills are important. The sky is blue. Water is wet. A highly skilled racer will pull a faster lap on the R6 than on the RS. The RS is a much better real world road bike though...

Anyone can twist a throttle and go fast in a straight line. R6 got smoked because the Aprilia rider is overall more experienced. Fast bike doesn’t equate to track day wins ;)
@@mociczyczki nah r6 riders are high on themself and are in general slower riders. Most of them dont even go to the track, they just slap on a straightpipe and call it a day.

the RS dusts up on a lot of the faster inline 4's in the corners. kinda comes down to the track you are racing on.

Treaded tyres are generally used in 600 racing, including World Supersport. At trackday speeds a full slick is no better than a treaded race tyre.
