John Bonzo Bonham ❤You were an absolute genius and a powerhouse on the kit ❤ I wish I'd seen you play live and even had the chance to meet you 😢❤😢

The son of a construction contractor, Bonzo came out of the womb beating on stuff. His first instrument, of sorts, was a gift from his father for his fifth birthday. It was a homemade drum crafted out of an Epsom Salt can, with metal wiring hand-cut wiring on the resonating head for the snare effect. At age ten, Mother Bonham gave him a second-hand snare. At fifteen, Father Bonham brought home for him a used four-piece kit--reportedly, a 'Slingerland. By thjs time, toward the fall of 1976, Bonzo was in position to play whatever he wished from Ludwig, Paiste, and Remo...and playing in a way most could only TRY to imitate, but never duplicate.
The best drummer past present or future to ever walk the face of the Earth rest in peace
Not simply a drum solo, but an individual’s personal song.
John Bonham o mestre baterista do LED Zeppelin foi e sempre será o maior baterista de todos os tempos o cara era monstro 🇧🇷🔥🤘🏾🥁👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
It took me too long to realize how fucking amazing this is. But I am older and wiser now!
I didn't appreciate LZ til I was late 20s unfortunately 😕 ❤
@@mikeowen7526But you're here now, buddy!
15 persons disliked ? i can't believe how peoples can be stupid .... this isn't just a matter of individual tastes ....
This performance is a Wonder, no contest, no discussion possible.
Brilliant! I've always loved this "song". How he managed to create a rocking melody on drums.
La mejor batería de todos los tiempos!!!!
Technical prowess can certainly be argued, but nobody was more musical than Bonham. All of his beats sound like their own song!
Neal Pert comes close to this!
@@BBINGHAM032352 NEIL PEART (ahem!) couldn't swing worth a damn compared to Bonzo. He was a great player in his own right (and style), but he sounded almost mechanical sometimes in his precision.
That being said, Rest In Peace both John Bonham & Neil Peart.
@@BBINGHAM032352 No fucking way
When this first came out I played it so much I wrecked my turn table speaker's stereo and still love it today timeless masterpiece!
JOHN BONHAM,THE GREATEST!!!!!!!!!!!
John bonhan rei da bateria o melhor dos melhores eternamente Johan bonhan demoníaco led.zeppelin 🇧🇷🥁🤘👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
May I recommend the book 'An Essential Guide To Music In The 1970s' by Johnny Zero. The author is a big fan of this fine instrumental.
...and to think Jimmy Page almost hired Procol Harum's B.J. Wilson to drum for his then-new band in the summer of '68. With all due respect to Mr. Wilson, I think Jimmy made the right choice with Bonzo.
The only reason I'm glad that didn't happen is that Procol Harum would be left with one of the best drummers ever. Seems Jimmy made the right decision, both drummers are a better match with their bands.
Yeah, you've got a point there.
Who knows! Maybe if that would have happened Bonzo may still be alive.
Yes. true, too!
I Think He Was The best drummer Ever !!!
He IS and always WILL Be the Best Drummer that has ever lived yes jimmy the rev sullivan was epic but not even he could hold a candle to bonzo bonzo is the god of drums he was the first to have a surround drum set and his montreux is unmatched withc skill manuverability and the ability to sound liike two or three drumers at once... he is epic hes the best thats ever beena nd ever will be long live Bonzo and R.I.P.
John Bohan. Ícone imortal da banda Led Zeppelin. The best one!

Bonzo, we'll always love you.
Of beats and dimensions are what JOHN BOHNAM does.
This shows why he is the great bozo
You see a good drummer listens to his base man John played what I call lead drums. Like lead guitar he didn't follow he played lead he filled all the gaps with creativity in a strong position of never to follow. He was truly one of the greatest
Ever to live buddy rich I'm sure would agrer5
Bonzo super star.
A new publication is being issued which contains literally thousands of UA-cam comments. The music book is entitled 'You Are A Tube!' compiled by Steven Fried PLC.
Looks more like a photograph of Mick Fleetwood around 3:22.
Well, i must say that rich and peart are fantastic drummers, but Bonzo's drumming? No1.
No sticks....tree trunks.Sick!
He was able to do all that.. However, this track was compiled of several rehearsals and studio demos and warm ups, as compiled by Jimmy Page for the Coda album,in tribute to him after his death...
@cheomire He was always one of my favorite drummers
IN THE FIRST ONE SECOND OF HEARING DRUMS , I IMMEDIATELY KNEW IT WAS JOHN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
O melhor entre os melhores
even though that is true but bonzo his warm ups on stage were every song he played bfore the montreaux when the band went off stage except him to take a break he played his montreaux live and spectacularily bonzo is the greates there ever was
Still the finest there ever was !!!!!!
Still the best....
I love Him!
hes still credited for being the best
Bonzo played this live in concerts dont doubt his skills never doubt bonzo
Those who don't like it must be deaf BONZO is best
Makes me wanna throw my TV out of the window, ride my bike up the steps, eat some acid, ram a red snapper, drink a fifth and....learn to play drums;)
1976trav hahaha
1976trav, I feel you man. It's OK, we still can listen to the masters.
But if you have the optty, go for it, it's never too late.
And if you can, also do "all of the above."

There is only one drummer in the world.
Could not have said it better!
Did one guy play this??
I need timpanis just for this song.
one of the very few times bonzo actually used a double bass pedal.
@tamobebia one of the best
A Bizarre Collection Of Puzzles by The Enigma
@BNSF1985 ok. one of the besT! :)
@kevlarunderware mine too!!!
@wwwkoreatrekkr exactly
Let's not forget that Carmine Appice influenced this man John Bonham. I don't know how many people know of this and also, Carmine was born 46' & John 48'. He also got his bass drum technique from a thing Carmine did on a Vanilla Fudge album. If you want to hear this for yourself, watch the video titled: Carmine Appice talks about meeting John Bonham.
Let's not forget John Bonham had many influences as does everyone else. The Carmine influence is exaggerated.
@@manictree5436 yes, and Carmine was his influence! This was said by Carmine himself, im sure if it wasn’t true, he wouldn’t be saying it publicly and in interviews. I’m not saying that John based his style off of him but i am saying that there was an influence .
@@italianstallion9148 So what? As time went on, I'm sure Carmine was influenced by John as well. Roach, Rich, Jones, etc. All influences.
@Snotra no, he's way way way better
Who disagreed?
Not bad! LOL!
neskutečnej machr s citem pro muziku
