Damn bro! How did I miss this video! I have the same vehicle and when I went to replace my bearings recently it was a massive pain removing the axle from the hub. Essentially, I had to soak it in PB Blaster and let it sit overnight. Even then, it took a lot of effort to remove it the next day. The axle was practically seized in there. I haven't had to replace the axle itself yet but I won't be surprised if the day comes as its an old vehicle. Thanks for another great video! Cheers!
Hey. I have a question. On my 03 Honda Accord 3.0, my passenger axles had a bracket with three bolts on it that is either bolted to the motor. I have never seen any video of a Accord with that bracket. Have you ever came accors it??? I'm having trouble removing it and no one seems to know what bracket I'm talking about
@@RBTheMechanic oh okay. So when I'm changing the passenger side axle Its different from the driver's side? I DNT need to remove that bracket or that rod that goes in the trans, I jus slide the axle off and it comes out of that rod and I slide the new one in? I DNT mean to sound dumb or nothing, but my new axles has the whole piece, it even came with ty he bracket

RB, my wife's 2012 Honda Crosstour has a vibration at startup/acceleration (like an slight unbalanced tire, BUT only feel it in the seat (butt). No steering wheel shake. Turning wheels left and right, extreme circling slowing does NOT make any cracking, popping, or clicking sounds. Tires were rotated and balanced (no help). After up to 35 mph, then smooth sailing with no detectable vibration. How can I rule out the CV axles? Nothing obvious from boots like tears, leaks, etc. Thanks again, friend!
Gary Taylor i have the same issue with my Honda Accord. Did you find out what the problem is? My friend tells me it might be the left CV axle. Not the driver side but the passenger side.
I did all that work on both sides and other suspension work on my 08 but after a month or so, the passenger side axlehas slid out about a half inch and I was told by my alignment shop that all I had to do was hit it with a mallet on end of axle to slide it back in and to make sure it clicks in. I'm not sure how it managed to slip out but my guess is that since it was my first time doing this job I must've not installed it all the way in.😓.if I hit hard enough can I damage the transmission threads where it grabs on?
No I cannot damage I have to align the axle with the groves then hit it with mallee it will click on u can feel it go click u can’t hit it too hard try it again

The axle is connected to the axle shaft? I’m trying to do the same thing but I don’t know how to get the axle out. Like am I suppose to take the whole thing out from the transmission? Or it could be disconnected from the shaft?
Knocking out the axle from the inside there at 11:01 is way harder on the v6 with the exhaust being right there below it, my 2010 crosstour has rusty hardware on the flex pipe so i have to cut it out just to get at this and the last bolt holding in the transfer case, and then i can rip the engine out, thanks timing belts for not working immediately at 100k
