Thank you Adam and Ed. Got my mirrors installed. Purple wire was power on the 2 wire pigtail. 2006 Duramax. Finding that gray wire was a bit problematic. 2 gray wires with dark stripes. One was black and one was a really dark blue. Had to have wife look at it also to confirm. Put a zip tie around it before splicing to ensure correct wire. Getting through door rubber bushing was easy. Splicing wire while being a contortionist under footwell was fun. Your module works well. Thanks again BOOST!!!!
10/10 these guys are awesome from buying to installing! Wouldn’t recommend any one else!
Thank you for making this video! It’s people like you who help people get these installs done without taking it to a shop. Y’all the real MVP.
Glad we could help!
best video by far on UA-cam, how to install your new tow mirrors.
Installing mine today! 2007 2500 Duramax Classic. Broke my driver side main mirror by pressing up on it as the motor was getting tires. Well the glass didn’t like that so much. So I currently have a high mirror, mid mirror and wide angle low mirror. 🤣 So, it was the perfect excuse to order this set up.
By far da best installation vid. I’ve ever seen 👍👍🤓 thxz and great job 👏 bro
Glad we could help!
I just ordered mine! Can’t wait for them to arrive!
Awesome!
If anyone doesn’t have the hidden screws the door lifts up takeoff the screw by the doorhandle and take off the screw behind the locking mechanism then grab the door and lift up
Nice set up. Looking forward to ordering these soon. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome, we are here whenever you're ready!
Just installed these and these are so awesome! If you've been wanting a set, pull the trigger and get them! You won't be disappointed!!!
Oh, and use the RED spicer when tapping into the wiring for the dome/courtesy lights! The blue tap is too big and won't make the connection. (Ask me how I know.)
What's a red spicer?
Hey man, did you have to wire anything up to get the blinkers to work? I mainly just want the blinker function on my 07 classic but I don’t want to have to wire
Very good how to video. Thank you for the info. 👍👍
Glad it helped!
Getting ready to see how to install those tow mirrors in case I win 😆😅

You guys gonna do an install video for tow mirrors for the 2015-2017 silverado 1500
We do have various videos for 2014-2018 available on our channel.
have stock mirrors for my 07 Sierra Duramax ...tow mirror on driver side will not adjust in tow position (extended), work when not extended, what would be the likely problem? thanks, nice video here
It sounds like there is likely an issue internal to the OEM towing mirrors themselves; you will likely need to replace the entire mirror assembly.
What options do I get if I don't want to do any wiring except pluging in the normal mirror plugs?
Signal Only - Low Output - Reverse Only - No Taps. Feel free to call our team at 765-831-2830 with any questions.
So when you got over to the drivers side you spliced the orange to the drivers orange and white to drivers white and ran them up and the grounded the two grays right ? I’m expecting my mirrors on Monday and just trying to get a jump on it I’m beyond excited
Yes you can splice the two orange wires together, the two white together, and the two grays together.
Could i hook up rear leds to the cargo light fuse instead of the reverse one if I wanted to just use them off the button?
Unfortunately not due to the design of the cargo light system on this year truck.
I have watched several installs of these mirrors on You Tube, and nobody is indicating whether the new mirrors's adjustments are controlled by the switches on the door. Are these new mirrors electronically adjusted, or manually adjusted? Please and thank you.
Our mirrors are power adjust; controlled by the switches on the door.
Can I wire my reverse and dome to the factory puddle light wiring on my factory harness? That way the spot lights also come on when I unlock or open the door at night instead of turning on when I turn my dome lights on manually.
That's a great question for our support team - give them a call at 765-831-2830 or email support@boostautoparts.com and they can assist!
I'm so confused I'm currently installing the switchback option with dome and reverse on my 2003 Silverado and I understand you sliced the passenger side orange and white wire to the driver side orange and white wire and ran those up to the fuse box but now you're saying to you both of the white wires from both mirrors and put them into p/n 1844C But but both of my white wires are already spliced together and running up to the fuse box So what do I have to do and how will I do it??
Your two whites that run to the mirrors will be on the single output of the 1844C. On the side of the dual function dome and reverse module (PN 1844C) you will have reverse from the fuse box on one side, and dome from the wire on the A-Pillar on the other.
Reach out to support@boostautoparts.com and our team can further clarify this or walk you through it over the phone.
Okay I have everything wired up. Everything works great clearance lights, back up lights, right turn, except for left turn it keeps busting fuse. Please help any advice thanks
It sounds like you have a pinched wire somewhere. Reach out to our support team at support@boostautoparts.com so they can assist.
I ordered the same ones mine truck had power mirriors already so I have a blue a white and a grey wire not sure what the blue is for
Please reach out to our support team at support@boostautoparts.com for guidance beyond this video
so do i connect the two whites and the two oranges from each mirror and run them up to the fuze box? but then where does the third white wire run.
Yes - whites splice together as do oranges. If doing dome/reverse you'll have one more white feeding off the dome wire. Give our team a call at 765-831-2830 for further clarification
If my truck already has factory heat and signal do you still have to run the wires all the way over to the driver side and tap into the fuse box?
Only if you want the reverse light and running light to operate.
I have an 07 2500 HD classic service truck. I would like to have order just the reverse and dome solenoid for the fuse box do y'all make those a available ?? Will def be calling in the morning for sure
Yes we do - give our team a call at 765-831-2830
Has anyone put later model CLASSIC style mirrors on a 2004 silverado 1500? I know ppl have put 2015 tow mirrors but im looking to find out if any later model CLASSIC style mirrors will fit. Theres no info besides tow mirror swaps online
No, they won't fit. Us (& others) have modified the bases to make the towing mirrors work, you can't simply take a 2015+ mirror and mount it on a classic vehicle - someone would need to make a retrofitted base for the standard mirrors. I'll share the idea with the development team for future consideration.
so i have a 04 Silverado but its has the work interior with no electric mirrors stock i have electric mirrors on it right now but need to find the wiring to send power to the mirrors please let me know if you know how to help
Sorry - we do not currently have a power adjust upgrade path outlined for these vehicles.
Im currently trying to splice lighted door handles in, and cannot find what wire turns the sequentials on on the front of the mirror. Does anyone or can yall help me?!
Give our support team a call at 765-831-2830 and they can detail the wiring color configuration on our mirrors.
In my kit I only had two sets of white wires that ran from each mirror, when you use the converter it seemed you had two more sets of white wire so four in total so now I’m confused on what to do.
You bring the white wire from each mirror to the driver footwell and got off the extra length. The extra two wires you're referencing are the extra white wire that was cut off of the drivers and passengers side once they were brought to the driver footwell and cut to length.
@@boostautoparts perfect I will try that!
2004 silverado, did all identical wiring with no dome option. With key on everything works as it should, white DRL and switchback. But when engine is on the white DRL turns amber and loses turn signal/switchback function in the front. What would cause this issue? Thanks!
We have seen some vehicle side issues cause this. Give our support team a call at 765-831-2830 and we will get this resolved ASAP!
I’m a bit confused run the passenger to driver side spliced it, run it up to the fuse box, where does the white wire for the dome come from
You run a wire from the dome light wire to a blue wire on the dome and reverse. We have a separate video that just covers the dome and reverse.
Wait if you got the signal only mirrors does the dome and revers work with them ?
My truck is an LT with power mirrors but no turn signals. Would a lighted mirror like this with reverse lights work because I have power mirrors or would have needed to come with turn signals?
Our mirrors will be plug and play for turn signal functionality even if you didn't originally have it. To gain the running light and reverse light functionality you will need to wire it into the vehicle by following this video.
Have you ever had an instance where the driver side mirror moves as soon as you turn the key?
That would be the memory seat recall kicking in - you can disable it in the driver command center.
So for the dome and reverse lights are the mirrors supposed to come with an extra white wire? You say that the white wires used in the output aren’t the same as the ones running to the fuse box, so what white wire is it?
It is just an extra length of wire; most people cut off the extra slack from the drivers side and use that. Please reach out to our support team at support@boostautoparts.com if you need assistance
Where can i buy the reverse/Dome switch from
Do you guys off power extending mirrors for these years I do not see them on your website
We do not offer power extend, only manual extend.
I did everything you did ! But when I put my passenger blinker on the driver side blinker comes on as well! Any help ?!
That sounds like mirrors that are not wired properly internally.
If the mirrors are from us please send a video to support@boostautoparts.com so our team can resolve the issue ASAP free of charge under warranty.
If the mirrors are not from us we would recommend reaching out to whomever they're from as they seem to be defective.
What would I do if I have a base model 2005 Sierra with no power mirrors or anything, how would I hook up the turning lights?
I'd recommend reaching out to our team at sales@boostautoparts.com or calling us at 765-831-2830 and discussing. More than likely our team will have you purchase 1999-2002 mirrors which have the same base, but would be easier to wire in the lighting features if your truck is totally manual.
Is there a different mirror and wiring if you have factory turn signal on glass
No - it would be the same procedure shown in this video.
My my rear facing light blinks with my switch backs on the front of the mirrors and doesn’t turn on when I put it in reverse. Any tips? I’m pretty sure it’s wired just like in the video?
It sounds like something may be wired wrong internally inside the mirror. If the mirrors are from us, email a video to support@boostautoparts.com and our tech support team will get to the bottom of it ASAP.
If my stock mirror doesn’t have a turn signal on the glass, when I install the new ones will the turn signal on the glass work?
Yes
Any option for a switch back tow mirror black smoked lens for a 2001 Suburban?
Yes we do! Check out our website boostautoparts.com
I got these same mirrors but mine just came with the reverse light wires will my running light still work without that additional kit ?
If you didn't originally purchase our mirrors with running light you can gain it but some wiring is needed. Reach out to our team at 765-831-2830 or sales@boostautoparts.com and we can let you know the best way to do this.
I see you put the fuse you toom out into the adapter but what is the fuse that was already in the adapter? Did you just double them?
Our fuse tap comes with a 5A fuse.

How would you link reverse with the cargo light?
Sorry - we don't have an option to control the rear lights with reverse for this vehicle. The options would be reverse only, or dome and reverse. Give our team a call at 765-831-2830 with any further questions.
Can I have the link to the reverse and dome wiring you showed ?
You can check that out here (link to install video also on page): boostautoparts.com/products/dome
Is their a way to get replacement grey white extension wire ? If so where

The ones I installed only had 2 sets of orange and black wires . I fed them through to the battery box but I have no wire taps . If I were to get fuse/wire taps for this would it work without the ground ?
You will need to ground the wires as well.
Thank you for the reply . Where are the other end of your ground wires attatched to ? Mine only had a red and a black wire for each mirror . I have them wired up just like in the video they work but they flicker . How would I add a ground to a setup like this ?
@@mattboone1926 Unfortunately since the mirrors are not from us we would not be familiar with the internal wiring so we would recommend reaching out to whomever you purchased the mirrors from.
My truck has no wiring going to the mirrors at all and I don’t believe I have rear defrost. How would one go about hooking up all the features of these mirrors on a truck like this 2003 Chevy Silverado 4.3 v6 2wd single cab long bed

Yes!

Which LED are you referencing?
Does anyone know if you can use the automatic feature to fold the mirrors in from the buttons on the driver side?

Why can’t I bolt on and plug them in to existing wiring? I want tow mirrors but have no interest in running wires. To be honest I don’t need them to even telescope. Just want the bigger wider mirrors with same adjustability function as a standard non telescoping unit
You can - all of the wiring is for the lighting so if you don't wish for the lighting to function you don't need to wire it in.
How do I wire these if my trucks a work truck model. 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 duramax
You would need to hardwire in the turn signals. Reach out to our team at support@boostautoparts.com and they can provide guidance.
What if my stock mirrors don’t have defrost but these new ones do?
The defrost will work off of the rear window defrost button.
@@boostautoparts ao all you have to do is press the defrost button? No separate wiring?
@@jbear6947Correct. Mirror defrost will activate with your rear window defrost button.
Buying for my 04 Yukon what’s the difference between signal and running 1.0 or 2.0
Signal & Running Light 1.0: The lights will flash as a turn signal. At night when the running lights are activated, the lights will operate at 50% intensity for running light, 100% intensity for turn signal.
Signal & Running Light 2.0: The lights will flash as a turn signal. At night when the running lights are activated, the lights will operate at 100% intensity for running light, 100% intensity for turn signal.

Ive never done any type of vehicle wiring in my life. Should i try it myself or pay someone?
This guide should be able to help - but if you'd like to have someone else do it an audio installation shop is typically well suited for this.

5A
can i just splice the white running light into my DRL wire?

This will work for a 05 classic right? The only wiring I should have is turn signals. How does the defrost get wired?
Yes this will work for an 05 Classic. Defrost is plug and play with our mirrors and controlled by the rear window defrost button.
@@boostautoparts thanks! I wasn’t sure since it lists almost every year in the category but doesn’t show a figment for 05 classic. I just see 07 classics. 👍

So do you connect orange wire ? Both or ???
Yes, both orange wires need to get connected. You can run them both to the same fuse tap, or you can splice the drivers side to the passenger and then just run the drivers side to the fuse tap.
Is this the switchback option? If so does that have running white lights and then switches to the amber when turning? Making sure before I order because I want white lights for my running lights
If you order switchbacks they will have a white running light and then switch to amber when the signal is turned on. We do show switchback lights in the video.
I just bought the switchback but it doesn’t work, only the sequential turn signals. (2005 Silverado 1500)
Do you sell the part 1844C separate?
Yes - boostautoparts.com/products/dome
For the signal/running light is it a 1.0 or 2.0?
In this video we show a switchback, which is a white running light and an amber turn signal. The comparable version if you were wanting only amber (no white running light) would be the 2.0.
@@boostautoparts alright thanks
