One time a cop stopped Sammie Davis, Jr for speeding. Joey Bishop was in the car. He told the cop, “He’s got one eye, do you want him to the speedometer or the road?”
Millennials discovering Frank, Dean and Sammy is heartwarming :) I'm almost 45 and I discovered those guys as a kid because my parents and grandparents were into that music. Some of the songs these guys did together and separately are timeless.
They really weren't discovering. All of them had heard at least 2 songs. This was definitely one of the better videos. Typically, u walk away upset at this channels "discovery videos" as something out of pocket is usually said about the singer (s) talent and history.
Poor Alex! All that work, holding back years of love and devotion to music... and the prize is alcohol! Somehow Joe managed to make him lose TWICE by winning, lol!
Right from the beginning I have to say, Great shirt Martine! Not only because yellow is definitely your color but because that's my motto in life. It's how I've raised my kids and grandkids. I'm proud to say that each and every one of my grandkids, at one point or another, has gotten a letter home from the principal saying they've helped other students, directly or indirectly. Defending against bullies, calming panic attacks, starting student mentoring programs, tutoring/homework assistance (they're, all 6 attending school, straight A & B students). Two got notes home the first day of kindergarten congratulating them for helping students who had a hard time on the first day of school. The elementary school also hands yard signs for respectful/responsible/kind students and all of my grandkids have quite a collection. I'm hopeful that 1 day, that motto will the guiding principle for everyone. Sorry for the brag rant. Lol
Martine and Juan are my favorite pair today although Nick and Izzy are a close 2nd. Absolutely no self control and I'm here for every minute of it! Life's too short not to have a good time, no matter what the prize is.
I don't mind Joe being a stickler normally, but yeah Joe pulled an Angel Hernandez type of call there. (For those who aren't sports people, Hernandez is a soon to be retired umpire who has a history making terrible calls and not owning up to it).
Interestingly, Dean didn't start out as a drinker. It used to be a bit, where he pretended to be drunk but wasn't. However as time passed he drank more in real life, living out the part he used to play.
I agree with Nick - at least during the Rat Pack era, I generally pefer Dean Martin over Frank Sinatra, he has more of a sense of humor about himself. I do really like 40s Big Band era Frank!
I have never been more proud than when my daughter's started singing along with Fly Me to the Moon during the movie Space Cowboys and My Way during the movie Sing, along with the grandkids. You haven't heard anything until you've heard my entire family singing Fly Me to the Moon! Lol
The Golden Era of American Music.... Listen to the songs from that era is my guilty pleasure, Doris Day, Connie Francis, Bobby Darin, and some of them which were mentioned in this video... I'm just 32, no-one thinks that I have an old soul, but I do love them...
Entertaining, educating and fun - good show - Thank You. I like Izzy more & more - I am a big fan of Nat King Cole, too (songs like Perfidia in spanish are really outstanding).
Alex has got a pretty decent voice, it’s a shame he didn’t use it in the video more. And Jennifer was right, the prize wasn’t a good prize for him at least. 😅
Anything Nat I'm caving. LOVE him soooo much!!!! Playing at home it was haaaarrrdddd not to sing along to (sang to most of them)!! Do a pt.2 with more songs from them!!
Everyone who was an otaku during the 90's has a special place for "Fly me to the Moon" in their heart. Not necessarily a good place, but a special one nonetheless.
Just a note on That's Amore, A tarantella is a local Italian dance where the stomp.and whirl. Supposedly it gets its name from working tarantula poison out of your system.
Jennifer, you were a theater kid, weren't you? I'm right there with you girl! I played football and threw shotput and discus in high school but I was also in band, choir and in every play they put on. My favorites were Jesus Christ Superstar, Oklahoma and The King and I. We actually had to convince the school board to let us do Jesus Christ Superstar. I'm proud to say that I got the lead in that 1 because I had the hair and I was the only one that could hit those high notes.
Theres a band called Black Veil Brides that i love, their lead singer did a "My Way" by Frank Sinatra cover in 2018. The lead singer did a solo album so you will have to look up Andy black "My Way" music video. Both he and Mr. Sinatras voices are angelic.
REACT Anfrew McCarthy, one of the original members of the Brat Pack, play on words of Rat Pack directed new documentary called Brats on him and his famous Brats stated during his press junket, he met Liza Minnelli when Andrew and fellow Brat, Rob Lowe were at fancy Spago. Liza asking them do you want to go Sammy's? Andrew thought Sammy's was a club. Then he realizes that he was at Sammy Davis Jr.'s home. When Sammy yelled, "Welcome Cats!!"
18:00 he partially right, Madonna's Material Girl video was based on Marilyn's routine to Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend from Gentleman Prefer Blondes.
What are you people smoking over there, Lauren Bacall was NEVER married to Frank Sinatra. She married Humphrey Bogart and her second and last husband was Jason Robards!
I’m not sure how I missed this the first time! More, more, more of this, please!!!!!! This was so fun . . . I looooove Nick and Martine but actually all the couples were great and so cute together! This is one of the most perfect episodes.
Well here's the end of the video and I failed on every single song, as I predicted. But I lost with a huge smile on my face so I'm a happy camper. This was a great video! I'm not a big drinker so I wouldn't have missed the martini. Nick's face when he realized it was real alcohol was perfect, btw.
"This is like the club of cool." Well, yes, and there will never, ever, ever be another one again. At least they have been preserved in musical recordings, movies, and shows. This way, the new generations can learn the true definition of cool and talented.
I knew My Way was going to get me but I had no idea how many of these songs would hit hard for me. Definitely going to go through these songs again, it's been a while since I've listened to them and this kind of unlocked a bit of nostalgia for me. Thank you.
Now that I got my last comment out of the way, I can go on to say that this episode is my jam! I grew up with the Rat Pack and there aint no way I'm not gonna be able to sing along with them! I'm just on Luck Be a Lady and I can already tell you that every one of these songs is permanently etched in memory. Thanks to mom's classical, country and jazz music tastes and my father's crooner, country and blues preference, I am a music lover of all genres. I'm proud to say that I added rock and roll as my own personal preference. And I'm even more proud to say that my kids and grandkids can sing along with everything from Fly Me to the Moon, Crazy and Proud Mary to Simple Man, Landslide and Ironman.
Frank Sinatra never married Lauren Bacall, they were engaged but never married. The producers have been getting lazy with their"facts" lately. Just google.
I wish you could've covered big band artists in general instead of strictly Rat Pack because Bobby Darin would've definitely had people singing and dancing.
Dean Martin was always my favorite. I have say though that out of all of the Rat Pack that Sammy Davis, Jr. was the most multi-talented. He could sing, dance *and* act.
Let's go Izzy! Love when they pair Izzy and Nick for these. They always look like they're having the best time!
They are becoming my new favorite pairing 😅
Izzy and Jayse are still goated on these
Nick serenading me with Frank Sinatra, followed by his signature giggles... SWOOOOON!! 😍
Izzy is so done with, but at the same time loves, Nick's shenanigans LMAO
Frank Sinatra dated Lauren Bacall. He didn’t marry her. Her two marriages were to Humphrey Bogart and Jason Robards!
One time a cop stopped Sammie Davis, Jr for speeding. Joey Bishop was in the car. He told the cop, “He’s got one eye, do you want him to the speedometer or the road?”

@@PattyEverAfter Yeah I realized that as I watched more of the video and I agree with you this was one of the better ones.
Sinatra singing "New York, New York" is about as American as you can get!
“But what if it’s a bad prize? …it is Joe” lolol that was perfect
And then it did turn out to be something he didn't like.
Poor Alex! All that work, holding back years of love and devotion to music... and the prize is alcohol! Somehow Joe managed to make him lose TWICE by winning, lol!
Well Jennifer had Joe pegged right on the prize portion. 😂 Good or bad who would know, we now know good for some and not for others. 🤣
@@Embermist69 - This should be a confirmation lesson learned: Never Trust Joe, lol!
HAHA! Nick and Izzy interactions are great...keep putting those two together!
I totally expected Love & Marriage to be in here. No 90’s kid can resist singing that one.
Good ol’ Married with Children 😂
@@jamesnall569Yup! 😂😂😂
They would understand it. There is no more love or marriage today. They'd be completely lost!
Try Not To Sing: Classic Movie Musicals (On The Town, The King And I, The Wizard Of Oz, Wonder Man, White Christmas, etc.)
The Nick and Izzy combo is my favorite in any of these videos. Keep putting them together!
Izzy and Nick are the best duo🤣🤣 love them both
I can’t hear Puttin’ On the Ritz without seeing Gene Wilder and Peter Boyle dancing
Same
Loved that movie since I was a young teenager.
Izzy & Nick need to do more together, they're hilarious! 😂
Nick and Izzy together in a video always makes it more interesting lol
Juan is just the cherry on top. He’s sweet, has a beautiful face with beautiful dimples, relaxed and singing the songs he likes.
He’s so cute!
But also funny on the low
Michael Buble is the closest thing we have to a modern-day "Rat Pack" singer.
Put Nick and Izzy together and they can be hilarious.

😂😂 Izzy’s reaction to Nick’s singing. Loving these songs guys
Always a good time when Izzy is in a try not to sing
7:53 Frank did not marry Lauren Bacall…he was quoted as saying “I’ll never marry that pushy female”. He did marry Ava Gardner.
When my grandmother was in hospice we would play these songs. She passed away listening to fly me to the moon. It was one of her favorite songs.
I love Puttin' on the Ritz but I can't help but think of Young Frankenstein every time I hear it!
You and me both ;)
@@j0hnn13K me three!
I can't believe that Joe counted Jennifer's pulling Alex as Alex dancing. These challenges need a third party to decide on disputes.
That is typical of Joe though.
Yeah, Joe tends to have some... Choices when it comes to judging tbh
I don't mind Joe being a stickler normally, but yeah Joe pulled an Angel Hernandez type of call there. (For those who aren't sports people, Hernandez is a soon to be retired umpire who has a history making terrible calls and not owning up to it).
First time I heard Luck Be A Lady was on Mrs. Doubtfire. Such a good song.
SAME
Nick and Izzy's rendition of NY NY was the best!
I love Jaun sang in Spanish, Everyone was TOTALLY awesome
Frank Sinatra didn’t marry Lauren Bacall. They were engaged, but he broke it off.
Martine got them moves. She has a great energy about her, and I enjoy her zeal for life.
Nat King Cole for me 🥰🥰🥰...love Izzy and Nick tandem...😁😁😁😁
My grandma was actually friends with Dean Martin! She used to go to a lot of dances in Wheeling and Steubenville where he got his start.
10:35 Well "he sounds hammered" because he was an alcoholic and was probably hammered all the time.
Interestingly, Dean didn't start out as a drinker. It used to be a bit, where he pretended to be drunk but wasn't. However as time passed he drank more in real life, living out the part he used to play.

I just love Izzy. Who else wishes she were your friend.
Also, how did Alex hold back? He's always a sucker for the classics.
Juan singing My Way in spanish, love it
I love Nick and Izzy so much
When I hear "The Candy Man Can" I think of the candy shop owner from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory singing
That's where it the song originally comes from. Sammy Davis Jr. just made it a massively popular hit for him.
I have never been more proud than when my daughter's started singing along with Fly Me to the Moon during the movie Space Cowboys and My Way during the movie Sing, along with the grandkids. You haven't heard anything until you've heard my entire family singing Fly Me to the Moon! Lol

same here.. love the classics.
You cannot beat the smooth, buttery tones of Nat King Cole. That's why The Christmas Song is my most favorite holiday song.
Love Nick's laugh
Contagious, ain't it? Lol
I think Martine needs to put on a whole dance performance to Puttin' On The Ritz! I just had the biggest smile on my face when she started doing that!
If I could give more than one like for that comment I would.

How can you NOT sing/dance to Frank Sinatra???
Frank Sinatra didn't married Lauren Bacall ,he dated her not marry her
Couldn't resist hey mambo. 2:59
I love Martine she's awesome, funny, and a cool girl
I love Izzy, she always makes me smile/laugh whenever she's in a video, and this team of Izzy and Nick was so good, they are really funny together 👍
They should have used one of those old fashioned big microphones in this video.
Great episode! I really enjoyed it and even though I don't know all the songs, the fun energy of the reactors is contagious! ☺️
I love martine spirit, and her smile is everything
Entertaining, educating and fun - good show - Thank You. I like Izzy more & more - I am a big fan of Nat King Cole, too (songs like Perfidia in spanish are really outstanding).
Dean Martin would call the cops complaining of the noise his party was causing so everyone would leave.
Nick accidentally scaring Izzy 11:02 😂😂😂
Frank Sinatra didn't marry Lauren Bacall. They were lovers for a while, but they never married. He dumped her for Mia Farrow.

To Nick; Dean Martin once said; “you’re not really drunk, if you are lying down without Holding on to something😅
Except Dean barely ever drank.
Martine putting on... the rizz 😝
Don't know where you got your information Frank was never married to Lauren Bacall. She later married Jason Robards.

Frank Sinatra never married Lauren Bacall, they were engaged but never married. The producers have been getting lazy with their"facts" lately. Just google.
