#Architects #NewSong #Metal
Nik calls the pre breakdown instrument a synth cuz he doesn't wanna acknowledge that the bass is straight fire in this track
do you reckon it's Mike's bass?
@@bruh2876 sounds like it's bass gear worth a couple thousand dollarinoes ;D
@@BoggiSpielt mike kerr runs his bass through a bass and guitar amp at the same time so yeah probably
p.s i just realised i was sorting by top not new sorry for the ping to a 1 yr old comment
royal blood song with architects heaviness. which is, a match made in heaven
Idk man? Royal blood? I feel like thats a bit of a middle finger to royal blood. Not that this song is that bad or anything, but royal blood tends to be brimming with creativity while this all feels kinda...basic?
@@thesaviorofsouls5210 can't agree with you, just for me all secondary instrumental and melody lines looks like great job from RB. Pure imho
I see what you did there
@@harleycollins6627 took the words out of my mouth
Nah it's lame
“We all see what is wrong with the world, but at the same time we avoid wanting to see it because we all want an easy life. I think the lyrics are a little bit of a cheeky nod to the fact that this song is so stylistically different for us.” - Dan Searle
I feel like they're using "Artistry" as a crutch as to why a lot of their newer songs are underwhelming .... Not BAD, just underwhelming
@@MattDeezly give them a break man. it’s art. the man who made architects as what you know them to be is dead. it’s a new chapter.
@@MattDeezly I can see what you mean. I think some songs on this album might take a couple extra listens to get used to since it’s such a different departure.
@@brihilist5236 I never said I didnt like it lmao. I bought the vinyl dude
@@MattDeezly my bad 😄
It's not a synth, it's the bass from Mike Kerr which is featured in the song and he's Royal Blood's vocalist/bassist.
I'm kinda offended he didn't even acknowledge Mike Kerr
As a Royal Blood Fan I agree. Mike Kerr is not someone you would expect to do a song with Architects so I feel it should be acknowledged. But Nik probably isn't too familiar with them.
It was painful
@@chainuser1774 He singed only on one verse, there is nothing much to say about it though
He didn’t acknowledge Simon Neil on the other track either...
@@hunterkowalski5583 I would say the same about him as well
Listen to "Out Of The Black" or the entire 'How Did We Get So Dark' album Nik
Check out the feature vocalist group Royal Blood
No love for Mike Kerr? Yeah, his part was short, but you gotta check out Royal Blood when you get the chance. Start with something like Out of the Black or Lights Out.
Out of the black is always a banger
this definitely reminds me of new BMTH, especially the vocals during the breakdown. this album is such a banger
Total different style but goddam come on....they do it so fuckin well!! They can do whatever they want, awesome melodic chorus, chunky riffs, great drums, and Sam voice is freaking amazing, has become so versatile!
I miss your guitar covers. Playing through all your old uploads, been at this for hours now. Good way to spend the night 👍
holy that chorus into the 2nd half of the chorus with the extra electronic riff instantly made me think of throne by bring me. that riff was so similar, and the drop out right before it you could almost hear oli saying "every scar will build my throne" lol
I love the fact that he changed his hoodie between every video, as if we didn't know he filmed them all together ahahaha!
Nice vids though, agree with everything
This is definitely in my favourites of the album
damn that's no synth Nik, just Mike ripping that bass...probably sounds like Royal Blood to me...
Mike's Bass "has chunk to it"!! ❤️
The chorus melody in this song gives me minor BMTH - Throne vibes. it's like a slower, less embellished progression.
I dig it.
That riff used as a bridge is sick and so fun! Totally different song but so catchy and fun damn!!
not very architecty, but is stuck so much in my heard, I have to like it now.🤷🏻♀️
I love Royal blood
Major Throne(BMTH) vibes, most infectious track on the record
heavy metal (amo) of this album
kinda makes sense 😂
I hate these comments but this one actually makes sense! Lol I thought that too I was like this is the "whine all you want we are putting out what we want" kinda vibes
Heavy Metal has more punch to it, which is saying much.
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 that song punched for literally 5 seconds at the end. I wouldn't go that far lol
@@chalksmiles4036 Yeah, the punchy song on Amo would be Sugar Honey Ice & Tea
Seen this song get a bit of hate online, probably because the chorus is very poppy (but then aren't most good choruses?). The breakdown(ish) part contrasts well with it. It's a good mesh of styles. I think I'm right in saying Dan has written and produced most of this album? Probably not surprising that there's so much focus on the drum patterns on this album.
one of the best tracks
the best singalongy thing on the album omg
another gem from the album
This is my favorite architects song by a long shot
Mike Kerr is such an incredible singer 😍
congratulations on 400 subs nik!!
I'm about to crush some new gym PR's with this album playing
Discourse is Dead, Impermanence, and Black Lungs are gonna be on HEAVY rotation in the gym. Especially on bench day 😄
Fuck yesssss dudes!
I’ve crushed 3 running PRs with this album as well 😂😂 probably not helping the heaviness cause..
Nik: "I'm ALIVE NOW!"
Also Nik: much disappoint.
My favorite of the album, catchy as fuck and cool breakdown
I KNEW it was Mike Kerr; I was really wondering if what I heard was correct since they dont list features on the album tracklisting
Sam sounds like Matt form BFMV on the whole album
this and goliath are my favourites from the album
Relatable
Damn i am early, lets go! Loving the album so far
New hoodie every video shheeeeeesssshhh
For some reason I could imagine this song being on eurovision
My favorite on the álbum ! 🤘🏻🇧🇷🖤
A nice BMTH vibe🤟
What amazing song! 🤟🤟🤟🤟
Goliath is dope!
This song probably became my favorite out of the entire album next to Black Lungs
i absolutely second this !!!
100%
My fav song from the album so far
I like this album.
NEW VEIL OF MAYA BOYO GET ON IT
SO. GROOVY!
I looked forward to this reaction, Royal Blood × Architects ❤️
NEW VEIL OF MAYA. HEVY
Number 1 albummmmm
That breakdown is very nice. I wish the other parts of the track would be too :s
the Orchestral version of this song live at Abbey Road hits so much wonderfully different for me, especially the melody for the closing out lyric actually sung the first time around instead of spoken
“If we miss the deadline, we can always blame the Divine
Gripping knives and praising lowlives
Nobody could say with a straight face
They didn't have it coming”
Probably top 3 on the album for me
Without that riffdown, I bet they would’ve got absolutely slaughtered for this song lol
I don't see no wrong with this song i respect what they're trying to do with this album tbh do you really wanna hear the same type of album every time ik i don't so it's cool that they're trying to experiment a little
@@destinwinders6761 thank you
@@tom0176devo np bud
The extreme metal community still wants them to be slaughtered
@@RedRed.917 the extreme metal community doesn't listen to Architects, so I doubt they care
You should seriously check out royal blood. Hard rock greatness from the first album🤘🤘
The Best music the albun
NIIIIIIIK
did you do these videos on different days or did you just change shirts every song? Lol
your awsome
Second favorite song after meteor with black lungs and discourse is dead tied for third
Please don’t disappoint - Mmm
Reading it while he said it.
Right on time
this is more than a 3.7 dude cmon. that breakdown alone makes it atleast a 4.
Fuck yea Royal-itects
lowkey waiting for goliath
how many times have u changed your clothes?
Nik please react to Imminence :D
Synth in the breakdown sounds like apex legends
Reminiscent of BMTH's Throne, this is more of what I was hoping for compared to tracks like Meteor when they said this album would be more experimental.
Please! Someone tell me how he's listening to the music without his mic picking it up!
Just a big sexy rock song👌
NEW VEIL OF MAYA GO LISTEN
ITS SO HEAVY 😭
This album is the "amo" of architects
More TTS than amo
song.
Dude, how many hoodies do you have in your closet, and why are you doing this to yourself? I can already see your bed turning into a pile of clothes ahahah
THE ONE TIME HE CALLS THE BASS COOL BUT HE DOESNT EVEN SAY ITS THE BASS IT HURTSSSSS DJKSHDJDHHD
I feel like this album relies way too much on choruses, anybody else or just me?
just you and 5 others apparently. songs rely on choruses inherently. lmao...
@@idrinkmilk282 no you're right but most songs the chorus is the backbone of the song but i personally feel like with this record the chorus is like comfort zone of the song and they don't really wanna leave it.
I think, you need to sleep for a while Nik. 😀
I listened to the album in the right order... I like the song's message but the instrumental didn't really got me
Am I the only one that feels like it's a BMTH direction we sort of wanted? The new BMTH albums are great, but sometimes it feels like they can do a bit more/go heavier on certain parts, and this Architects album feels like that.
you just converted my thoughts into literal words bud
Yes.
Oli and Sam are friends, it's fact. May be because of it?)
I disagree. Even if BMTH isn't heavy 24/7 anymore they made a much more interesting album..
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 I'm with you. This is literally that's the spirit-sempiternal. It's what most metalcore bands have been doing lately. There's ZERO originality in this.
I actually am early to a video for once lol
Nik should do a song with Mr. Kerr so it's a "Nik-kerr"colabb :D
They must be hearing a lot Thrones by BMTH
react Royal Blood
Decent song but like many features I have no earthly idea why Mike is even on this song. Unless I missed something the dude literally sings for like 15 seconds and just dips. I love Royal Blood but I don’t see what the point of the feature was
Architects and Royal Blood are friends, that’s literally it lol. I think that after the last few albums and with the less personal lyrical content on this album they’re just having fun with it and bringing their homies onto their tracks again.
To be fair though, outside of the breakdown this song has the kind of punchy, upbeat poppy but hard rock sound not dissimilar to a Royal Blood song, so Mike’s a pretty good fit for it and his verse really doubles down on the Royal Blood vibes tbh
Collabs aren't always vocal driven, he helped produce this song and a few others as well.
He did the breakdown on his Bass
Despite the name, this is not a Little Wonder at all
BMth
first comment.
Feel like I’m the only person not into this album.
I respect your opinion, but you gotta say you at least liked discourse is dead
Same. I really tired but I don’t know 😕 for me I think the melodies throughout the choruses are too similar through the album.
I feel like they are just songs you need to listen to more than once to get into them, but I do see why you would say this. But personally I like their different approach!
@@morgencole7129 I guess I'm the exact opposite, the first time I heard most of these songs I was meh about them or liked them a good bit. The more I listened the more I got tired of them, they just felt like they could have been so much better and I just decided to listen to a different band that was more balanced all around.
Get saved people don't be sheep. The narrow path is where it's at
I wanted a change, but not THIS change.
Aside from Black Lungs, the breakdown on this song is the heaviest part of this entire album, which is sad.
Yeah, that’s typically what is gonna happen when the band tells you they are experimenting and the album won’t be as heavy.
@@collinmackin5911 Really? Would've never guessed...
What are you talking about... Impermanence? Goliath? Discourse is dead? Even Animals has a nice heavy main riff.
Please sing me a different song. This wasn't very good xD
Why does this song, especially the synth parts sound like a crappy version of Thrones by BMTH. Same Synth? Same notes for sure
I love Nik to bits but its kinda lame sometimes when he's always looking for breakdowns and can't even enjoy something different. That look of disappointment most of the time just feels.. you know. I get he has his preference but you guys know what I mean.
Anyway, to Nik's point, to be fair, that breakdown to follow up the synth bit was awesome.
Exactly my thoughts, it’s also a bit annoying he never seems to have anything to say about the lyrics which I feel is missing a big part of the song
well to be fair he's not a lyricist
I would have to say this is probably my least favorite song on the album.
me too, but its still good
I agree
@@raihansetyawan7248 it’s definitely still good, it just doesn’t have the really catchy huge chorus like most of the songs on the album. This album has a lot of very catchy and huge choruses. Almost like they’re ready to play big ass arenas now
@@centralia83 agree, but its a least good in this album which the other outgood this song
@@raihansetyawan7248 yeah for sure
Generic... pass
I'll be honest. This is my least favourite on the album. I don't mind it. It doesn't suck to listen to. But it's still my least favourite lmao
super catchy song but to be honest it was a really pointless feature, at least get mike on some more BV’s if not one of the choruses. I’d say don’t half ass the feature and if you’re planning to do it like this then don’t have the feature in the song at all
So basically there's only a couple of chunky moments (and even those are really simple and boring) and literally 0 intricate / complex riffs. 0/10 for me this album.
This album is a cascade of cheap downstroke riffing and bad choruses. Never thought architects could do that. So sad
Ngl I was disappointed hearing the
direction this album went in especially after Holy Hell which is a beast of an album.
I'm sorry but this album is just the biggest BMTH rip off
