Hey buddy, glad things are kind of looking up for you. I literally just came out of a relapse, detoxing as I write this. You're not wrong, the boredom is damn killer... I live a very similar life to you, I take it you don't work? I myself don't work and living off welfare, life day in and day out can get Soo bloody tedious, let alone the depression and anxiety that will prevent me from living the life I want to live. Keep it up man, one day at a time. We gotta thrive to do whatever it takes to just not drink for that day. Hopefully we can congratulate each other on a years sobriety or something.. Hey man! It’s nice to hear from you! Good for you for making that decision to start detoxing! That’s a huge step to take. Yeah I don’t work and it’s killing me. It’s hard to find things to do to entertain your brain when you feel like you have no purpose. But even in doing these videos and writing blogs and stuff that’s an achievement for me and hopefully it helps others like us. When I do things that have meaning, I’m totally focused on that and good things start to happen when I do things that are meaningful. Probably because I’m not waiting for something to happen, I’m actually making things happen. It’s hard to find something you like doing or starting something but when you have nothing left to loose you might as well try and when you do something you like doing alcohol is the last thing on your mind. So keep up the good work and just try and think positive, I know it’s hard when your not in your right mind but when you do you will find things will start going your way. Good luck!
