I first heard this song about 4 years ago, and if I had to be honest I didn't get it then. I didn't know what the hell a Gurren Lagann even was in the first place, so I just sat on this mashup for all that time. Only recently, upon my watch through of the show, do I finally get it. I finally understand not only the source material of both Persona 4 and Gurren Lagann, but also the thematic similarities and connections this mashup brings together. For every persona 4's "undestanding your true self is the secret to truth" there is a Gurren Lagann response of "And with your self found truths, shatter those heavens that bind you, and soar beyond your previous limits" which I think perfectly encapsulates the lessons of both series.
I know nothing about Persona 4, but Gurren Lagann is THE encouraging anime. I love it and Libera Me from Hell is probably my favorite song from any anime.

I really like this remix and think that the two songs go well, but some parts of it sound really good and others just sound terribly mixed and sounds like a clusterfuck of multiple songs playing instead of one continuous sounding song.
I heard this 11 years ago I listened to this everyday now in my adult years I come back to once a month with my busy schedule this mix gets through the toughest of times
