It's probably because we find it weird to see a humanoid blue hedgehog in the same picture as Humans who are jacked beyond belief, showing it while he doesn't any of the sort.

That's why I love Raiden, he feels like every edgy video game trope in one but manages to pull it off
Honestly the parallels between Nero and Raiden are hilarious too. Both were somewhat controversial additions to their franchise at the time because the usual playable character was very beloved, but by the next game fans loved them too.

I FUKING love this it’s awesome, btw I don’t see why Raiden can’t be in smash since he was in Playstation all stars I’m pretty sure Playstation wouldn’t mind it if they let him go into smash plus his game was also developed by platinum games the same company that made the Bayonetta series so it would make perfect sense and the most obvious reason is he is also connected to solid snake from MGS2, and as for Nero from DMC4-5 it would make sense for Nero to be in smash sense the majority of people really really wanted Dante in smash instead they got a costume, but Nintendo could win us back by putting Nero in smash, I see the potential but I’m not giving my hopes to something that might not happen, but I really loved this mash up it’s really awesome.

If we're talking about in-game movesets, the other three characters for sure triumph sonic. But I guess in canon terms sonic would win. In the new movie he deadass takes apart an entire truck in like 5 seconds, so I don't doubt he canonically has the strength to beat the other three.

You've really gotta watch out for that Raiden + Kaz teamup, everyone online's learned that EWGF + tag is a perfect setup for Raiden's optimized combos and if he has enough meter, he'll just Zandatsu you for the knockdown.
I guess Super Smash Bros Ultimate is the closest you can get for that. Sonic and Kazuya both being playable characters, and a Dante Mii costume and Snake to represent Devil May Cry and Metal Gear, instead of Nero and Raiden.
Now that the concept of this fight has been introduced to me, I am extremely intrigued by it.
