I am a preschool teacher with students with behavioral needs. My endo noticed my tendency to spike in the morning and be back great by the time I eat lunch in the early afternoon but totally got it when I described my mornings 🙃.

Mine is the complete opposite. Dexcom will say my glucose is high, but finger stick will saying anywhere from 50-100 points different. A1C has been between 4.8-5.4 just the inaccuracies sometimes be frustrating

Interesting! Mine is always lower if it’s wrong. Super frustrating!

Hi Meg, I just came across your channel today and I am loving your content so far! I use Omnipod dash and will say that I also have poor absorption in my legs and also arms. I feel it is from the lean muscle tone but I am not entirely sure... I am glad that I am not alone but so frustrating.

Hi!!! So glad you’re here!! And yes I find a lot of people say the same about legs!! I think it does have to do with muscle and tissue density!

Thanks again, Meg - great videos and amazing you are really completing the full month of them! Quick question - I am now on pod 5 or 6 (had to change one early) and I am noticing the third day seeming like insulin is less effective as you noted. Have you any idea why? Just curious if you have thought about it. Thanks again!

Hii! Sometimes this just happens because the insulin has been “out” for a while! I know people who change it every 2 days for this reason 💛

Meg❤❤ you are a godsend. I am medically type 2 but my body reacts as though its t1. My doctors from both India and US have been unable to solve the mystery yet. Im now on insulin and will move to pump soon. I was very emotional coz of not being able to regulate it as much but then i saw your videos and it gave me more than just relief. I found a friend , some validation, may be closure and tons of education , and community..You are doing amazing work ❤ Love you 🥰.. i have a small request- would you be able to fit in a video about how to ask for help from loved ones when you are struggling or even just managing insulin dependent diabetes please? Thank you !!

Omg - yes to the post-run/exercise liver dump and exercise mode highs! 😭Do you use the same strategy as when you were on manual mode or do you have to bolus more aggressively on the algorithm?
Thanks for making these vids btw ❤ You always seem so chill + smart when it comes to t1d - it’s super inspiring 🥹

Hi! Yes that liver dump is always so annoying!! I had a really similar strategy on O5 as dash, but I have more aggressive ratios on O5 if that makes sense!

@@megtypeone It does! If you don’t mind me asking how does that translate to post-run correction? Say if pre-O5 you only bolused 1 unit for your spike, do you now bolus 2? Or do you just go off the calculator now?
