I have wrapped about 50 cases with carbon fiber and diamond plate vinyl. My customers love the look. Take your time and use a hair dryer instead of a heat gun as some heat guns will melt the vinyl... Learned that the hard way... LOL! The more simple the case the easier it is. Finally check with car wrap and vinyl shops before you buy as the local shop throws out sheets everyday. Recycle, reduce and PC mod @PoweredBySpoon
Same here. I've been asking the car wrap places nearby, but they say they don't just print custom sheets and sell them. They don't do anything under $400..
The tolerances of these cases don't seem to show off the wrap. Around the window you can see it didn't do well. Sounded like a good idea, just didn't do anything for me.
man i've been your videos since quite a long time now and i cant think bout a reason why you dont have more views or suscribers but keep the awesome work bro your quality is amazing.
Tech Today Now Thank you so much! Im pretty happy with the amount of recognition that we have right now. Its just nice to know that you folks are watching and enjoying the videos!
Did you really just blame it on racism? Its people like you that keep racism alive and well. BTW, he has 260,000 subscribers in a area flooded with others doing the same thing. I would say he is doing quite well. He has a rather bland personality and this video in particular is poorly made. Its labeled as a how to video yet he really didn't say how to do anything. He simply listed some supplies needed and showed a really fast time lapse with no commentary on what and why he was doing anything.
this looks like an art form of it's own, an i believe someone could make a case look just as good as a painted version, not to mention it would be cheaper then getting a custom paint job done on a case
i wraped my NZXT Phantom 410 black in the same carbon fibre wrap, watched a lot of you tube videos on how to wrap cars which helped a great deal.used large pieces on the top and front which was a bit tricky but no joins looks great
planning on wrapping this case with carbon fiber, in addition to adhering vinyl wood accents to the front and rear hoods, a la retro-futurism. any suggestiins?
I've got the old original Thermaltake Level 10 case, the compartmentalised monolith one which is made from 26kg of aluminium and costed, here in AUD about $1200 new. I've lost my passion for it a bit, it's all black, I'm planning to Vinyl wrap it so revitalise it and give it something new but there are so many finicky complicated parts that I probably need a specialist to do it rather than DIY. Still, it's great that we've got options these days.
i also wrapped the front area neat drive bay which is matte black plastic also.. and the feets too.. they also look great..didn't do the whole case, but side panels and interior where grommets come out.. going for black and white look.. with red led light..
Great video man! I don't plan to wrap my case, but I do plan to wrap my keyboard. It's gold with red accents, and I don't really like the gold as it doesn't match the rest of my setup, so I'm gonna wrap the gold in either black or blue (I have a Black, Red, and Blue setup).
A little late here lol but you just made me decide to wrap my revolt 2 case and only spot to improve on is by the window everything else looked very very nice good job keep it up
hey does anyone know where i can find some jade or emerald green fish scale wrap. im getting the corsair spec alpha an im trying to wrap the front part to match my setup. the mouse is the sharkoon drakonia emerald green scale mouse.
i dont know how the case Looks like but with all the Tools and the primer and the heat gun it should totally work it will get harder when your case is curvy but ist totally possible
Instead I'd get ah photo place to print out a massive art adhesive that I can stick to entire sides. And then use a fine razor and perfectly trim it. That way I could also get cool art on the it and not just carbon fiber and colors after that.
as a wrapped by trade I can say you did pretty well for not being in the business a few types are so sure spend the extra money on some quality vinyl yes it's more expensive but some of that Amazon or eBay crap isn't good they sell it as automotive grade but it's really architectural vinyl also they are easier to scratch and the heat from your pc can some times by it self cause bubbles and make it fail , also a good vinyl material would conform more easily to your edges and curves ext you have it pretty much down but practice those relief cuts so you don't have a bunch of folded over edges on top.of each other but this is great Ive wrapped my Mac book pro and also my surface 3 is getting a special cut vinyl I might even do my gaming rig lol
I would expect your power supply to become to hot for the vinyl to keep tight for a long period of time, if you did do it I would like to know how it went.
Good job for your first time... I personally would have only wrapped the window panel and maybe some parts of the face plate.. White being the majority color, and using the carbon as accents
"theres a skill sort of involved i wrapping" 3:38 ultra speed time-lapsed the skill for us guys who havent done vinyl wrapping before. Share your skills so we can apply it ours. But hones in slow macro shots of of the outcome. Come on man, at least applying vinyl to one piece in real time wouldve helped. Useless how to. The title kills me.
@@JacobZ14 I did but I undid it because I liked the retro theme better. I used blue carbon fiber patterned wrap btw. It was on an old ALPS Dell keyboard.
planning to wrap my cooler master haf xb evo. (shopping list: amzn.com/w/3I72KMCYZLX6W the blue is for the fan grill and the built not bougth is for my top panel window)
Sorry man but you took a really nice case and made it look awful by wrapping it in sticky backed plastic. Around the window looks really really bad!! You'd have been far better off getting the case parts hydro dipped in a carbon effect...
how to wrap your pc case. proceeds to show you the parts required, then shows zero of the process other than sped up. doesn't show anything slowed down to show "HOW". lol
I would have given you a thumbs up except that you time-lapsed through this video without showing any real detail, as to the procedure involved. Something to keep in mind for your next DIY video.
OreoMasterRace That's what I'm planning on doing once I get around to making my own shroud. I work at a print shop and we also wrap cars so I have access to a bunch of colors and machines to cut designs into the vinyl.

Still relevant cause here I am looking for a video on wrapping a pc case
Same here. I've been asking the car wrap places nearby, but they say they don't just print custom sheets and sell them. They don't do anything under $400..
@@ItalianRain2 I looked on Amazon and they do sell donut yourself kits.
That's why I'm here too

I think it looked nicer before.
Yeah bro me too
Its personal opinion

i think instead timelapsing the video so much you couldve shown us the technique and where you used the glue.
i know timelapse looks cool, but just because we can doesnt mean we should

So can i just use a hairdryer to help the heat part?

Am I able to get white vinyl wrap and print a custom design onto it or would it not stay on it
Did a black carbon and chrome for the edges on my BeQuiet silent base 800, now about to order matte white for the sidepanels :)
I don't love the edges of the plastic where you have to cut and fold, but it is way better than other techniques for the average pc case moder.
Yay for this video!!! I'm so excited that I'm commenting before I watch, haha!
same lolll
what if you wrap the inside of the case? should i be worried about anything? will it short components??
What about on a laptop? Even like just the top
i got the same case in same color one of my fav PC case so awesome i even put an RGB LED strip on it and love it :) awesome case
Amazon in my country ? Page not found
what temperature does your head gun have
For a more square case this would be good, but on this case it's not too great IMO. It is a good idea in theory though and I liked the video
can you do this to a monitor? I want to make my monitor white without spray painting

How much vinyl wrap did you need for your 780t?
can you do this with a good hair dryer and no primer?? I'll be doing it only once so 20$ of primer is kind of ridiculous
Love your videos man you definitely should have more followers
did you try it before on a Laptop?
Nice video. I would like to try this but seeing that I can't even properly wrap a gift I don't think it would turn out too well.
Can i do this with the corsair 760t.

looks awesome, great job you make it look easy!
Excuse my ignorance but he said "apply some heat 'towards' it" Did he mean you should not apply heat too close to it?
Thinking about wrapping my Enthoo Pro with carbon fiber vinyl :) will look sick with the brushed front panel :p
I'm new to this! can someone explain what is vinyl wrap? what is the real use? !!
just decoration
+Jesus thanks Lord 😜😊
Based on this, yesterday I painted my 780t in Dark Graphite with Plastidip and I was pretty good. Yes now . Literal is a 780t graphite haha
think about tron striping it! or what ever the name of it is.!!!
Going to wrap my h440 in midnight blue today!
I'm going to vinyl wrap my keyboard.
Well, did you?
@@JacobZ14 I did but I undid it because I liked the retro theme better. I used blue carbon fiber patterned wrap btw. It was on an old ALPS Dell keyboard.
I am doing corsair onsidian 900d chrome red
Those cuts.... I expected one large piece on the front so you don't see cutlines, it's a pain in the ass but cleaner that way
Overlap and cut so its clean underneath.
This is awesome, I want a pink theme set up but “surprisingly” there aren’t many options for pink cases😭😂😂
Trying to make pink set up for girlfriend so can relate
imperfect finish around edges but looks great
I've been painting some components, and will be vinyl wrapping part of my case and parts here soon!
You can clearly see here why black color is "unforgiven" :)
i like the white color more as it is my fav color hehe and i got the same case on white
I wrapped my Razer Black Widow to get rid of the glossy plastic.
Nice
wrapped mine in beige!
LOOKS GREAT DUDE I DONT WANNA BLAME U BUT THIS IS A GOOD CHANNEL ONLY THE POPULAIRity

what about white carbon fiber?

No, it doesn't.
yea, it looks bad.
and your pc won't overheat from this warping?
If you actually have airflow and fans, it shouldn't.
+ig299 I hope that's a joke
noo nono it cools your pc even better.i now get -50 degress after vynl wrappin my pc case
You would be better off using hydro dipping
This guy sounds like Snot from American Dad
white looks better

not bad for a first try (Y)
But would have been cheaper to liquidip it

The edges seem the most problematic.
