Let's be honest, hits are ok but why do we need another charmander and charmeleon baby shiny? All about charizard again. Would much rather see a bulba or squirtle baby shiny or even gen 2 instead of the same pokemon yet again

They are playing it safe... the problem with playing it safe in any form of product meant for entertainment is that safe becomes boring very quickly.

I am absolutely new to collecting, I was into Pokémon as a kid and have just found my way back so I've been watching videos and learning. I preordered both of the ETBs for temporal fates for $70 which I think is a great deal! cant wait until they release

I'm a rookie to collecting. I got 2 ETB's. my pulls were: Noivern alt art. Charizard tera. Espathra alt.
and the Penny alt trainer card. I enjoyed my pulls.
Love collecting.
Im fatigued on how many sets they release though and im sick of Charizard 😂.. still buying a bunch of the Dondozo singles though such a pretty card.
Had an ok time opening but there are so many lackluster shinys that I don't really consider them hits other than a few of them.
I really like the box. It's a nice design.
Great set enjoyed opening one of the pc etbs pulled the shiny mew that seems to continue to rise in price

I got so many good hits! And I got the pack with the illustration rare and two other good cards. I also pulled the gardevoir ex!

I opened my first paldean fates etb today and I got the gardevoir I was so happy
The pikachu shiny is amazing.
I believe Oinkologne is a portmanteau of “oink” and “cologne,” a bit of irony for what’s likely a smelly pig. So it would just be pronounced like those two words shoved together.
It's actually pronounced "oink-a-loan"

I was eager to open my first ETB of Paldean Fates. I got skunked pretty good though. Got a Wugtrio and shiny Paldean Clodsire as my 2 biggest hits. 😂 I might buy one more in chase of Charizard, Mew, or the Gardevoir but if no hits or gold cards on next I’m probably not going to be buying into this set anytime soon.

honestly i’m at a point where I avoid charizard, it’s a boring chase card. I want to see more gen 1 and 2 rerealse
Only problem is they made more charmander line shiny they couldn't do squirtle bulbasaur totodile,cyndaquil,chikorita,torchic, mudkip, treeko? Or even piplup,turtwig,chimchar some of the nostalgic starters instead of charmander
Hello Jake and Jake’s Baked Snakes (fans), is there a trick to knowing whether the Japanese card will be more popular or the English one? I can’t seem to tell. Lots of English stuff is worth more then I see the Espeon vmax worth more and I’m just confused
you need to know the Japanese language and culture a bit. Also, Japanese modern cards are worth more because unlike the past they have got a standard. Unlike English release. Have a look at reverse holo cards. The Japanese release is vastly better . The English RH are very poor

Per Danny Phantump research you can't get a triple hit pack and the prospects for double-bangers in the future look grim except for these shiny sets with additional rarities. Unfortunate.

I like this set a lot! Opened 4 ETBs, will open rhe promo products, then get singles in a few months
I've definitely went hard on this set! Opened 6 ETBs so far, and pulled 2 SIRs so far from them, which was Arven and Gardevoir. I wish the shiny Paldean starters were included, so definitely looking forward to the premium collections.
And congrats on the Pikachu shiny, pulled one myself as well, but mines has so many print lines! Oh well, won't be grading cards anytime soon anyway.😅
I’m it’s a total shame that the cards in this set are darn near worthless. The regular full art trainers are like $1-2 and the alt art trainers are sub$20 and it’s only week one. That being said, they’ll probably be really affordable as slabs assuming anyone submits them.
Always gutting the set of many more hits, making them Promos, RUINED it. Then 3 OG pokemon as the chase cards, really, PALDEAN FATES btw. pitty
So you dont open for fun? Just for some monetary gain? I pity you. Pretty sure thr original pokemon cards were all about the former and almost no kid cared about what the card will sell for one day!
@@user-pd6bd7ir4z I’m not in it for monetary gain, but there’s a point of cost of product to potential return that I just won’t open anything at all. Like most of the SV sets: top card is worth only about $50-60 give or take, that’s less than the cost of a booster box and not much more than an etb. Total waste of money buying anything as of now since they’re what? Less than a year old and the usual rule of thumb is buy at its lowest which usually hits around 2 years old.

I love opening boosters, and I love the "non-hit" cards as well. Why is nobody as annoyed at all the reprints as I am? ;_;
You can't get triple hit. People opened loads of packs and no triple hit noticed.
Everyone I personally know pulled at least one illustration rare. And EVERY etb opening I have seen so far got the Paladin . Everyone I know personally also got it. Everyone but me 🤣🤣
It was fun to open though, although I won’t be seriously collecting the set. Waiting for the mini tins because they are just as pretty as the etb and then I’ll just buy my 2 chase cards from the set and be done with it (okay technically I got 2 booster bundles for easter and my kids advent calendars)
Probably won’t be going to collect temporal forces either, I really like all the sets released last year and will probably keep spending a ton of money on those 😂)

I'm curious about the advent calendar. Do you collect packs from the different sets throughout the year and make a custom advent calendar?
@@jtr0625 yes exactly, I have 24 mini tins for each kid and fill them up throughout the year. Mostly packs but sometimes also stickers or stationery, depending on what deals I can find.
They love it a lot more than the official calendar because it has a greater variety and there are no fun packs, only full booster packs. (On Sundays I usually also add single cards that they are missing from their sets or that feature their favorite Pokémon). I love putting them together!
