This is the scary thing. I can tell when they are side by side but if I was look at either by itself I don’t think I would know.
Such a disappointment this is a thing in the hobby. So many cool people in the hobby.
1. The PSA logo, tiny one on the front and bigger one on the back, of the REAL card has a split distinguishable holo pattern, the fake one just a shiny print with no holo whatsoever. You should be able to spot the fake if you have any real PSA slab to compare.
2. The print quality of the back is much blurry compared on the fake compared to the real, one thing to look for is the registered symbol “R” in the circle, printing is much crisper on the real one than the fake one.
3. The holo pattern of the card itself is different but it’s harder to tell if you don’t already own a real copy or know what the real one is supposed to look like.
4. Don’t waste your time on the QR code or Bar code because these are high definition scans and the QR code on the fakes can scan easily like the real ones.
5. If you have a black light, the fake ones don’t have the UV patterns when you shine the black light at the back label. Again, you shouldn’t have to resort to this step by telling if the card is fake or not if you follow the previous steps.
I can get the QR code on the real one to scan, does the fake one scan?
I'm wondering this too
This is good news to me. I love buying fake products that looks like the real deal !
It is super scary and at the same time so disappointing... But then fraudsters are always there thriving on some people who don't have enough knowledge.. sad
Text spacing on fake is bigger than real one too
Glad i grade my cards myself.
We are so cooked
Hi I’m friends with ur nephew mason Cao
"completely wrong" taught us nothing
You can’t see it? I guessed it almost immediately.
That's scary. How do they get away with the barcode/cert number? Surely after checking it on psa website, you'd realise because it wouldn't be listed, right?
It's not hard to get the number of the card. You can search through sold PSA cards and get it from there. I actually know a little bit of photoshop and I can get the label pretty much 95% right, the only thing would be the PSA holographic sticker in the middle. As for the card, it's not hard to get custom ones of that quality
Invest in a cheap UV blacklight. I check all slabs when they are delivered and carry with me to card shows.
If you live in Japan, making a couple hundred dollars out of rich American kids or adults doesn’t seem like a bad idea. I don’t think the person who is doing it, sees it like a crime. Pretty sure
The Pokemon company takes fakes very seriously and have worked with authority to bust counterfeiting in Japan
@@TwicebakedJake oh, good to know.
Let me get that fake one buddy boy it will still look nice on the shelf
