Great video! I didn't know the Zeus' have VTOL. That'll be a very significant feature in the future.

I think once control surfaces are implemented, the Spirit C1 will be the best of them all in atmosphere.
Awesome video man! I personally never liked the Hull-A because of how slow it is, but as long as you are going station to station with a VB-00 its amazing. I love the interior, and it holds 64scu of internal storage. The RAFT is also a favorite, lots of internal storage, XL-1 drive for fast traveling, but I wish the exterior cargo would work, it will soon. Slapping some fury's on it would be so amazing too. Cutty needs a rework (so old), and I've never been a Freelancer fan, it plain sucks. The one I cant wait for is the HULL-B! I hope they give it equal interior storage as it has external, that would be a definite daily driver. Keep up the great work, reach out if you need ideas on the next class to review.

Nice video Sneemaster. The only two ships I would add to this list are the MSR and 400i. Both are blockade (cargo) runners in my book and quite uniquely positioned (acceleration and speed for the MSR and speed and S3 shield for the 400i). I use them for running refined stuff and like them for doing that as quickly as possible. Both require an S4 size hangar/pad though, however they have less cargo than the Max. But yeah, you are getting into the same realm as the Connies, which I personally also consider ‘medium’ and next up are the Cat and Hercules variants as ‘large’. Beyond that it’s ‘extra large’ for me. Cheers! o7
Thanks! Yeah, I agree, it's a fine point between those Medium and Large ships. Some Large ships feel Medium and vice versa. But I'll setup "Large" and "Capital" ship comparison videos in the near future.
I find it interesting that you excluded ships that CGI list as medium cargo haulers. Don't get me wrong having a lot of large cargo haulers being moved back on the tracker makes a video difficult. But either way I feel sorry for the Constellation and Caterpiller who are also medium cargo ships. Hopefully they get a category to themselves when you pull out the large cargo ships like the Hull E.
Hoping the Hull B drops with 3.23. I'm loving the Hull A loaner and want the additional cargo capacity.

the RAFT does not have at this time a cargo beam .. it has a station for loding - yes, but the claws will expend like om cuttent cargo docks - not a tractor beam.
Most likely it will be abandoned like the Chaterpillar door / lift combo
Certainly possible that the Tractor Beam might never show up.

Yeah, we'll have to see how large the Hull-B gets once it's released. Original info says it's smaller than a large hanger (at least compressed) but who knows once they finish it, especially expanded.
I didn't see the RAFT listed or pictured in the initial part of the video, but you did include it in the video. Could you also include armor lockers and gun racks in your comparison?
Ah, you're right. It was in the list but not in the picture showing all the ships. Good catch. I'll see what I can do on covering gun racks and gear stowage.
syulen is intended to fit in medium hangars despite being...massive
You mean the Railen? It's technically size large but listed as Medium cargo so I was hesitant to include it. Don't worry, I'll include it in the next video. The Syulen is the Starter ship with only 6 SCU so it wouldn't fit on the list either.

I must be misunderstanding, the MSR can land anywhere a Freelancer can.
I understand the confusion. The difference is the MSR requires a S4 landing spot vs the S3 for the Freelancer. And it's 56m long versus 38m for the Freelancer. So it is a bit bigger than the other ships on the list, even larger than the RSI Zeus Mk2 ships which are 46m long.
@@Sneemaster my MSR gets routed to the same spots my prospector does.
@@gregsutton2400 Yeah, good catch. It's weird (but not in a bad way) because it's technically a larger ship and the hangar in the stats is a larger one but I guess CIG is currently letting some of the larger ships fit in the same hangars for now. I wonder if that will change in 3.23/3.24 when we get personal hangars.

Those are all small cargo ships in my opinion. Medium is the cat, galaxy, Hercules, and the like. Considering how many ships hold over 1k cargo, the ships in this video have to be considered small. Just my opinion. Bmm,hulls c, d, e, kraken, idris, javelin, etc.
That's a good point, but ships like the Cat, Galaxy, Hercules could be considered Large based on the Hangar size, and the bigger ones like Hulls C, Kraken, etc, might be considered Capital Class ships based on Hangar and Component size. I will make videos on those categories eventually.
Why does everyone jump to ship reworks? What would the Freelancer need to be reworked for?
Cutlass for the toilet sure but Im not sure what the freelancer would need
Oh I should have mentioned it but the Freelancer has a very tiny bathroom, cramped living quarter hallway and the docking port is on the roof instead of horizontal. Plus all the component access is missing. These are all things that would need to change for a Gold standard ship. If you notice all the new ships, they are more properly designed for that. I suspect the Freelancer might have to grow in width to accomodate everything.
@Sneemaster I could agree with horizontal docking. I haven't used it in a long time, would turning off gravity not work as well as they had planned?
And I'm not sure they would need more room in the quarters but not like I would care to argue against it though

Sure, I can always use help with my videos, especially the audio. I'm using Wavepad for recording on a boom microphone. Typically I have to amplify my recording volume, since I speak softly, which can sometimes make a bit of reverb and then I apply a noise reduction but possibly that's not enough. What do you have in mind?

@@Sneemaster I mean the entire process should be different imo but ya gotta do what ya gotta do lol... So you have XLR mic or? You said boom... That's not specifically XLR technically? I'm not an expert but my roommate is hahaha
