I have the big brother to this laptop. Ryzen 7 4800, 32GB Ram, RTX 1660Ti, 1TB NVMe SSD, and an additional 1TB Seagate SSD installed. Regrettably its only the 60Hz version though. But I haven't found any games it struggles with. Such an underrated unit. I find it brilliant!
Bought this laptop in 2020, was amazing until it wasn’t. One day I plugged the charger in and it wouldn’t charge and died. Took it to a repair shop, they said the mother board fried and replacement would be more than the laptop was worth. Bought a replacement, and had issues when I turned it on for the first time. Returned it and bought the MacBook Air M2. Literally loved this laptop really sad it let me down the way it did :/

I still recommend this laptop overc2 years later since I got it stilll plays all the triple A games good. I also recently have used it to emulate nintendo switch works very well!

I got the i7 32G RAM 512 SSD 1TB storage version and while I do not play a lot of games, this is great for video editing and other creative needs.
I have the same one but with the GTX 1050 I got it in 2020 for $500 and yea, it really is quite a good laptop. I have been pleasantly shocked.... I wasn't expecting much and and its still running strong. I am on it right now with +4 monitors and 3 external SSD and probably 10 other things hooked up to it like a desktop. I cant believe how fast it is still with all this stuff.
I did upgrade the memory, I added a 32 GB chip so there is 48 now.
I am looking to upgrade sometime in the next year or two. I want to get a really nice regular laptop that I can add an external GPU to. I want something premium... ie. made out of metal :D gotta have at least 2 thunderbolts.. one for the gpu and one for the rest of my stuff. 3-4 thunderbolts would be heaven.

I just got mines around 2 weeks ago and I love it, I upgraded the ram to 16gb the only problem is when I download a game it doesn’t load when it’s finish
I have the 1660 ti Max q since jan 2021 and she wont die 😂 Surpassed my extended warranty . I upgraded but she still around handling everything without rtx
You can add an internal ssd also. By that i mean there us a slot to add one that is taken up by a plastic dud. Well at least in mine haha
I used to own this, and well. I really do Not Like It. So I got an Asus Tuf. And I’m happy about my decision
Hello Fatal reaper. I have the same pc as the one you have but mine came with an 8gb ram. I recently add a 16gb ram to it making it 24gb in the second slot and add a 1 tb in the hd expansion slot but there is so much lag. I watched your lag video and followed but I still have lag. Pulled 3 games all with lag. V rising, jujitsu kaisen and Just cause 4. All lagging, can I get help ?

yo please help me. I have a pavilion 15 8gb ram and 1650 GTX. I've been using my laptop for 9 months now and it's lagging a bit it getting slower and my browser started not responding please help man. And it overheats a lot and I have a cooler. Please help

I’m on windows 11 and no I haven’t had it reduce any of my performance
I got this one and the last of us remastered is just lagging the whole time and hogwarts legacy also not running verry smooth but i didnt have any real issues before

Man help me out , it will mean the world to me.. I have same laptop hp pavellion i5 8th gen, gtx1650, 8gb ram but in some games like RDR2 or Assassin Odyssey , watch dogs , I face some micro lags in the beginning for just like 3-5 mins , after those minutes the lag goes away and game runs smoothly.. This issue is quite complicated for me. How to fix it ?
Your ram most likely 100% those game’s especially nowadays require more ram 8GB DOES NOT cut it anymore. You need to upgrade to 16GB ram
@@FatalReaper bro but my friend has lenovo legion laptop , same ram(8gb) and gtx1650 , and i5 10th gen but all his games runs without any lag , he gets 4-5 less fps than me but faces no lag. .😭 why in his case the 8gb works
I highly doubt that is the case my friend. Unless your watching him 24/7 at all times playing those games which I bet your not. He too gets lag. I’m telling you it’s the ram. 8GB ram DOES not cut it whatsoever especially with games like RDR2
You can always changes your settings in game to lower settings to fix that issue. And also make sure your graphics drivers are up to date
@@FatalReaper bro I swear , that friend is my neighbour , I have played and seen how those games run in his lenovo legion , he gets 6-7 less fps than me but those games never lag in his 8gb ram lenovo legion laptop. Maybe hp pavilion needs 16gb ram to hit no lags 😔 and my problem is weird cause the lag only happens in beginning , later after 6 mins of gameplay everything gets smooth , the game "watch dog legion" needs 16gb ram still in lenovo legion its running without lag in 45-50 fps low-medium settings.
can u make a vid on how to overclock the refresh rate of it if it safe and what refresh rate to do it at max?
You can’t overclock the refresh rate the refresh rate of the monitor is 60Hz you can’t go any higher than that without a external monitor
@@FatalReaper there are certain tutorials where you use this app called cru to overclock your refresh rate and change it, is it safe for hp pavilion 15?

Sounds like you need to factory reset the laptop and see if rebooting the whole system fixes it

ive had a problem after buying mine in summer of 2021 where, when i turn on the laptop and open up a game i get maybe 3-5 min into the game and my laptop shuts off and i have to turn it back on then i can play games a little bit that cant be normal right?
The thermal paste is not working so the laptop is overheating. If you replace that it should help
Your GPU might be going if after replacing the thermal pace it still does that.. that means you have a bad GPU
