As a kid the tank part also made me rage quit, but tbh, I recently played this game again, like 18 years later and now I have to say, it's really not THAT difficult. Guess we all just didn't have the focus for this back then.
I remember the friggin tank, the friggin spider, and the friggin metalhead centipede chase. And I have to say the metal head centipede chase was the hardest to me.
What sucks about that metal head chase is the cutscene ends with Jak running towards the screen, so you hold that direction, and then he instantly turns around when it loads and runs straight into the hungry mouth of a metalhead
From what I remember there were a few main bits I really struggled with. Security tank, Protecting the group in the sewers, Racing Erol through Haven City on hover bikes... Those are the ones I remember taking long breaks after failing at them a bunch.

I love the story and the fun in the gameplay. Anyways we should tell people about the Jak and Daxter series on how good it is, by doing this the game can be known and played by many people. favorite mission for me, the music the "oh shit!" moment and the payoff was great. it only took me 2 tries really, the tomb of mar though...that was the worst.

irkeninvaderaj1234 for me it was the very inconsistent tank attack pattern and those damn turrets at the sides you couldn't see because of the damn green filter. I enjoyed that section very much at the same time.
I have a poll for anyone whos played this game (if u did ur childhood was lit and is certified as a lit childhood) which was worse the Tank or the spider from the tomb (trying not to spoil)

They tried to make a new Jak for PS3, but they realized fans wouldn't like the direction they were taking it in (too much realism), so they decided to put it aside and work on a new project called The Last of Us. They might get back to it eventually. Sony owns Jak and Daxter and Naughty Dog. :)
eh im more partial to the first game but thats just because it had a great cozy feeling to it, not to mention it was original as fuck and there will never be a game like it.

The tank, the spider, and the metalhead centipede are all examples of 2nd person perspectives in video games. This game was so ahead of it's time.
