I cleaned and serviced mine, and my drag was stuck, since watching your video I followed along assembling mine and it's now working. It's just a bit tight past the free spool, but it's now moving at least. Thanks so much. Great video.
Happy to hear! Thanks for checking out the video. You may have a problem with your pinion bearing, or even something else..... not sure what you mean just past free spool ... you may need to take it in for servicing just to be on the safe side.
Thanks for spending the time to video this. If I were in the US, I would send my reels to you. I've got a very inconsistent drag yet the shaft isn't tight. I'm contemplating having a look inside. 🤓
You can do it. Not sure what reel you have, but if it's a TLD15, use this video in conjunction with this other video for help: ua-cam.com/video/6nBl0wcyu3w/v-deo.html However, if you're not comfortable, take it to your local repair shop. Good luck. Spread the word about the channel.
@TSGReelService thanks for that, I'm going to pull it down, got the grease and the tools. I've got 3 TLDs abs your videos help so much. Thanks. I'll tell everyone about your channel. 👍
Have you ever had the plastic cap on the drag be so tight you can't undo it? The reel hasn't been serviced before and I tried to undo it to the right, but it's solid.
Yes. It may have been adjusted while engaged (which is a no-no), or the knob is frozen to the threads on the shaft.... Do this while the lever is in the freespool position, try using a vise grip to turn the knob. Take your time with this.... you have to consider the left side of the reel is graphite, which can be damaged by too much torque, but also have to worry about damage to the part of the knob that is screwed on to the shaft. If you're concerned about trying this yourself, take it to your local repair shop. Hope this helps.
Can you please tell me the normal width of the Pre-load springs? I have very little resistance when set to full drag settings...I have replaced the dial and lever shaft body....did not help at all. Great videos!
Tricky, but there options.... post a video on your channel so I can see the reel and exactly where the bearing is, and let me know when you. Just reply to this and say "DONE"

Hi if I take out the spring that’s sits between the pre set drag will this damage the reel or is it ok
Thanks for checking out the video. Best to have it there, but you can survive without it. You may lose the dial, though, so keep an eye on it.
@@TSGReelService is it possible that removing the spring will increase the reels drag
No. @@MuazzPatelia
any secret way to remove a rusted bearing that wont come of shaft? one that normally sits in the drag assembly? Cheers
