Sorry all about that lousy camera angle. Brushes? Mack grey hair brushes / One shot lettering enamel / Paint thinner / Automatic Transmission Fluid to store brushes in.
Mr Parsons, first time here on your channel and love it. I admire your ability and skill using brushes. I can’t figure it out if you twist your brushes on making the turns and curves, do you? Also, what types, sizes and brands of brushes you recommend? I understand so far that the same brand can have different brushes of the same type, just a little harder or softer, could we have your insight on it? Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge on this dying art so we can keep it going for generations ahead!
Sorry Roadshow...I dont get notices to responses to these vids. Yes we "twist' the brushes, rotate may be a better word -- keeping the hair flat while going around corners etc. Mack makes some good brushes these days. My goof pal Jeff Marshall has his own set of brushes. He's active on Facebook and yuou should be able to find some type of contact info. He'd be more up to date on whats available. My brushes are so worn out that I dont know what they are anymore!
Please place the camera view from your left side so we can see your letter construction. When the camera is on the right your hand covers up your painting.
No, you just get a roll of butcher paper and practice by using water based sign paint. Let your mistakes fly and practice a couple hours or more everyday.
Michael Taylor i believe Dave was just making a joke or are you the one making one? I’m a beginner and amazed by what I’ve seen here by masters like mr Parsons!

I use 2 brushes for script. I am a hobbyist & my control just isn't good enough to get the results some pros can with a chisel tip.

Hi Bob, love your work more than any other, and I’d like to own a print out of your Parsons Script...any chance?!
Thanks Adrian. Can you just take a screen shot? Or do you actually want something hand lettered?
@@bobparsonsartist564 id like to buy something too, how much is a sign that size? Also did you invent this script?
Oh man, I've moved and havent touched a brush in a year. But I do have these blanks that fit in a USPS large game box.
Great work but the camera position places your hand in the way from seeing what your doing
Not able to see through the hands. ?
We’ll get a crew on that right away!
