- When lowering your Lexus SC, you MUST relocate the wire harness in the wheel well.
It is basically free to do but just a little timely.

OG was really helpful and informative. Need to do it for my SC300. I'm almost finished doing the big brake upgrade and the new calipers in. So this is very helpful.
Thanks for the tip g
W video, I knew people had to be relocating them. My shit been rubbin real nice lol hopefully it ain’t break through yet
Yeah man take care of that before it ruins the car!
Is that the only harness you have to move?
Yes
Good video thank you
No problem!
Excellent video man. What camera did you use for this? It got some good shots inside that wheel well
This was actually a GoPro 8 black at the time or recording.
Is this why my car turned off
Possibly
Helpful 👍
The car looks great ! Are those 19s ?
These are actually 18x9.5 if I remember correctly
seeing how there's plenty of wire slack to run it on top of the fender, couldn't I just tuck inside the fender? I don't plan to go super low when installing coilovers.
It’s actually not as much slack as you think. It is barely able to stretch inside the bay
my car is lower but with stock wheels and i have 0 issues. Dont get over sized wheels
@@nostalgic_pokemon_memories What size wheels did you get?
@@timothychan9818 1996 stock sc300 wheels
@@timothychan9818keep it under 18s and you'll be fine.
The yellow connector is the airbag
How did you get the connector above it out
Is there a tab to push down on the top of it or a tab to push up on the bottom of it
Can not get airbag connector out to make room. Do you remember how you did it?
You can’t move it around. It stays
@@classicpatinas no manufacturer would make a plug for a consumable component that is permanently attached to an electrical junction
There is a tab on both sides of the airbag connector that have to be lifted
Push the retainer up and there is a tab on the top. It’s a solid piece that goes along the whole top of the connector instead of just a tab
Push up on the lock and it will push the piece down and allow you to pull it out
The connector above it ALSO has a solid piece across the top instead of a tab
You reaching about half way back on the plug and push really hard you just won’t feel or depress very far
You don’t have to take the airbag connector off or just helps if you have big hands
@@classicpatinas yea doesn’t seem like you fully grasp what your doing, i don’t either but still
@@BigFatCaulk I mean my car is fully functional 2 years later with no problems so it works
@@classicpatinas never said you couldn’t do it right though
Exaust setup?
3 inch cat back with magniflow mufflers. True duals
What’s your drop?
I honestly can’t remember, but I think at the moment it’s about an 1.5 inches
what rim fitment are you running
18x9.5 +22 offset
@@classicpatinas no spacers correct
@@classicpatinas how thick was the wiring boss. I’m getting a for High-Temperature Automotive Harness n tape for extra safety. To do it on my sc. but before taking it apart I want to get all the stuff ready so I only have to spend time relocating the wire not getting stuff to finish the job
@@Yash-jo8hv no spacers.
@@Yash-jo8hv the harness isn’t really big. Max like a 1 inch loom
