Randell, I was watching along with you with reel in hand. I too, was puzzled as to how to remove the Aluminum Spool/Pinion Bushing (?). I noticed a thread peeking out behind the Reel Frame. I tried rotating the Bushing and found that it is Left Hand Thread and comes off easily in a Clockwise direction. Surprised there weren't any wrench flats or anything similar. I tried my A/R Leer before adding the Spool and It worked, now it doesn't, will have to find out why. Enjoyed your videos. John
Nice Video I about to try to work on my Daiwa 210 RL I have never taken it apart or any other reel before. D0 you know if there is much difference from your 208 and my 210.
They are basically the same reel. The 210RL is larger than the 208 and different part numbers on some parts. Make sure to get a schematic from reel schematics.com of the 210. I see no difference in the disassemble and reassembly.
Yes, we do service them. If it needs to be serviced by all means service it. But please make sure to get a schematic. Thank you for commenting and watching!

Do you have a schematic?I would check the two springs and the cam making they are connected and in the right position.
I have the same reel and I have been watching your videos. The part with the gear and spring, can be twisted out and everything stays together.

Do you service these? I have the same one, should I just leave UT be?

Sorry about that, IO did not see Bigboi's comment.
