Episode 1 of our Necromunda Campaign is here and it's facing off between the Corpse Grinders and House Delaque all because of some tainted meat products.
Thank you to our Patreon supporters for some additional voicework and naming this episode: Secret meets about Secret Meats. The dice cam is a bit naff, we'll sort it out next time!

It took 3 minutes...never change lads!
Fantastic!!! Learning, Laughing and having a great time!
This is a brilliant take on a series - the infomercials, smaller board, interesting mission, use of a games master, relatively short video length and matey atmosphere really makes this stand out amongst any other Necromunda series I've watched on UA-cam. Excellent work
This is exactly what we wanted! Puns! Guns! Funs!
Absolutely loving the close up of Geoff's hand camera 😂 Great stuff though . Love it 👍
close up action for Geoff getting the chap off.
Geoff's Only Hands!
I know this is a Herculean effort, but it’s turned out fantastic, well done
Thanks for this gents - I got two take aways from this video;
1. I really want to play Necromunda now.
2. If the kids ever misbehave I can threaten them with enrolment at the Cadian pre-school.
You had me at "Palanite pegging scandal". Subscribed!
😂😂😂
Really enjoy having Peach as a GM explaining as we go, really helpful for the viewer!
Idea for a follow up scenario - Turns out the Escher who sold ammunition to Geoff's Delaque were selling half empty mags...
"Turns out the Escher who sold ammunition to Geoff's Delaque were selling half empty mags..."
XD
This intro is absolutely brilliant. I want more already!!!
Wait until between turns 👀
@@thepaintingphase So good!!!
that opening bit had me howling, this is gonna be a fun campaign
This was absolutely brilliant. The intro, the ad breaks, the scenario and possibly, most of all, the absolutely atrocious dice rolling all around, which really added to the feel of actually kinda useless gangers duking it out in some underhive dive.
Please, more of this.
Wouldn’t be necromunda without the comically bad dice rolls!
This is very well done. Ive never played Necromunda, so It was nice to have Peachy acting as referee explaining rules.
bro why did you abandon this? the production quality is amazing
Gentlemen, this has been an absolute pleasure to watch and I truly appreciate the effort that has gone into this hour of bloodshed and mayhem!
😍😍😍 thank you
That is such a beautiful board, those close-up shot are just gorgeous
Great fun to watch!
Appreciate this was an intro game, but it’s worth noting;
* You still roll for Blaze even if the shot doesn’t wound a fighter.
*Although Pistols, Hand Flamers don’t have the Sidearm rule, so aren’t eligible for Twin Guns Blazing.
Pedantry over, can’t wait for the next episode!
Rosco - Guilders-Ford Radio
Always appreciate the rules assists, tbf I’ll probs forget a few rules here and there, but as long as fun is being had I’ll be happy.
Cheers
Peachy
Love it! That was really fun to watch. Some of the rolls were certainly infuriating, and definitely mirrored my own experiences playing Necromunda... I like the narrative Peachy's constructed, so it'll be interesting to see how this one develops!
The longer I watch this, the more I see a lot of rules being missed.
I love the commitment to storytelling, really brings the game up.
Beautiful! Very good reccomendation by YT.
Loved the batrep! One of the best parts of Necromunda is having your gangers survive an absolute ****storm despite the odds. Inversely, having your nearly blind, mostly crippled, one-handed grunt drop a grenade in the middle of half of the other gang and successfully wound some of them is the stuff of legends lol.
This is awesome. Best narrative campaign I've ever seen.
Aww thank you, hopefully we will get more filmed in the foreseeable
absolutely loved the news reports. Flipping epic opening sequence.
Pat did a brilliant job with the cinematography and editing of the news sequences/cutaways.
you had some great voice actors too!! (a familiar voice in particular ;) )
Well worth the wait!!
First video of yours that I've watched. I enjoyed it immensely. I'm just getting into Necromunda myself, so breaking down the rules while you play is very helpful. Great bunch of lads.
I don’t normally watch games being played, but I ended up really enjoying this. Seems like a genuinely fun time and the cameras are really well thought out.
This is so awesome, especially the adverts and newscast that are so very 1st-edition's satire that it's a tragedy that there's not more episodes!
What a great way of doing a battle report - possibly the only report I have watched the whole way through! Fantastic entertainment, thanks guys
Well we’re honoured to have kept you entertained, thanks for watching our nonsense Richard 😍👍
1. Excellent format for a battle rep.
2. Intro captures the spirit of the Hive well 😂
3. Strong beards... 💪
cheers 😂😂😂
Loved it! If you haven't planned to already, please upload the ads as shorts! I want to send them to people as propaganda for getting into 40k
Great battle report, the news and ad sections were great as well
Would like to see a showcase of the gangers, maybe complete with stat cards in the next one
I just got here a minute ago and I desperately need more than this in the Necromunda playlist! Subscribed.
You had me at Palanite Pegging Scandal... 😍
The objective is to get the informant off...
...
...the board :D
More Necromunda content please!
Loving the meat based naming system. Sir Loin for the win…..😂😂
Adding to the team soon, "baby back" might make an appearance. Along with some others... Open to suggestions!
Learn a lot from watching this battle report.
Most of what I learnt is to not buy dice off painting phase, all those 1s!
Hahaha! Yeah I think Geoff was just having a bad dice day, those same dice have served me well many times
That opening is amazing 😂 well done 👍
All credit to Landon for that one, he knocked it out of the park!
i played my first necromunda game yesterday, it was extremely hard to get into the game at first but after the first two rounds it was setting in how to play. After those first two rounds we fell in love with the game. We had an extreme board that made the game even more fun to get into.
I'm still holding out hope for more episodes. This was so much fun and I know I'm not the only one who would love to see more!
A friend is learning to play necormunda ahead of our own campagin, this was great to show him how the game works and the narrative fun you can add to it.
Brilliant! Warn him though I missed a few rules out here and there, some deliberate and some cos I just forgot, but the basics were all there 👍
Took me a few days to watch it, but excellent bat-rep 👍
Get some new dice guys. FFS it's amazing anyone won. That aside, love the news bits, the terrain, the models, the story, and the players. Can't wait for the next one
Brilliant! Make more, great craic!
Great job guys. It's a hard game. I was confused about not using skills or Using interference or assist or the turn to face minus. Could be old rules new rules thing. Honestly we make oversights in every game. Thanks for showing how fun this game is. Which is much harder than getting every rule exactly right.
That was amazing - please more!
Really entertaining.
Bigger playing area with more movement would be great to see.
Having games master overseeing the game really makes a positive difference.
Look forward to see more.
Good to see you guys doing everything within your power to avoid covering the actual 'painting phase' of the hobby.
Amazing video and hilarious battle report. I have multiple Necromunda gangs but have never actually played the game...this is motivation to find a gaming group for sure!
Love the 40k universe adverts lol so funny and good
Been watching a bunch of Paul Verhoeven films recently 😂
Nice game, and it looks amazing. I enjoyed that. 😁 You forgot to do the -1 to hit for "turn to face" on the sniper's reaction when they got charged by the guy that climbed up behind him. Easy one to forget 😉
"Your job is to get him off" ... and we've found the level already
Hahaha! Yeah we started early 🤦♂️😂
I loved this! The format really works. Not only is it a great introduction as to how the game is actually played, it made me laugh out loud throughout! Awesome 👏
I really enjoyed this, especially when baldylocks (peachylocks) runs away!
Great start to the campaign! Excited to see how the story develops
I absolutely love the meat-based puns. Sir Loin gave me a propper belly laugh.
This format is great - looking forward to more of these.
Only hands dice rolling! Love it!
A surprising amount of adverts during this vid, but most a lot more entertaining than usual! 😆
Yeah thought we’d break up the pace a little lol
first battle report! tense times - who will get off first? / who will beat off who? ...whose meat will be beaten hardest? nice work. liked the banter, photography and double entendres. lovely scenery too
Wow, kudos on the effort put into this, the intro alone blew me away. That's how I'd like to do battle reports if I had the time, paitence and equipment.
Excellent job chaps 👍
Thanks Steve, we’ve learned loads and would given time and space too, do so much more.
First time seeing necromunda, you did great. Love the 'news' and the 'ads' too 😂 been watching your vids for a while and they are getting better and better 👍
This was fun and entertaining, nice editing, good pace, and enough things to break it up for me to have fun watching it. Thanks guys. I understand you probably spent 172 hours preparing and editing it, much appreciated.
Hahaha! Yeah it did take awhile, but worth it lol
Knew it was going to be a classic when i burst out laughing alongside you lot when the initial objective was given out :D
What a fantastic meat-and-greet with the gangs!
I'm not that into Battlereports I tend to get a bit bored or just they're to long to get thru it all in one sitting. But I have to say I watched this all the way thru as I built some Killa Kans! Gotta love a noce set of Kans!
Was definitely fun, I've never played thos game but I'm pretty interested in it now. Super fun , you guys are always great to watch the names the banter and just seeing your joy in this was well worth it. I was a but sceptical I'd enjoy it but I think seeing the process of you talking about it and now playing it really helped me ( the viewers ) to feel connected to this campaign. Looking forward to more cheers Ladz!
Awesome! We’re super pleased you enjoyed it and stuck with it, bar a few rules refinements and some editorial tweaks I can’t imagine the format radically changing, which I hope is a good thing lol.
Cheers and we super appreciate you taking the time to comment your thoughts too 😍👍 - Peachy
@@thepaintingphase No worries thanks Peachy , it was great you was there to help with some rules but it seems like the Ladz knew there gangs pretty well. I thunk I might look into Necromunda more now haha seems super fun. Cheers , keen to see more 👍🏻
Very well made and entertaining! Just a few minor rules errors. If you get hit by a shot and roll a flesh wound while being seriously injured, you dont roll over. Also, rolling over means youre staying pinned afterwards.
👍👍👍 cheers for the tips
Jeff and his $#!t dice rolling.... This looks more like a game around a basement table than an official battle report.... Can't wait for the next episode.... keep up the great work...
Simply brilliant, old chaps! Carry on as you were
The adverts were next level! Really great work and fun to watch! Thank you! One suggestion: could you focus/dwell on the dice rolls for maybe an extra second/microsecond? It would help with the impact of the game as the audience can anticipate the implications of a given result.
“Geoff your job is to get him off”… 37k people all giggled because we all have the same humor and lack of maturity. Love it.
Hahaha! Yep that’s what I love about this community 😂👍
This looks amazing! Nice start for a campaign. :)
You missed a couple of rules though: will power tests for shooting and fighting butcher, -1 to hit when you turn to face the attacker, versatile weapons give you a longer range for charges (flensing saw gives you -1 to hit when in base to base) and you occasionally missed to roll injury dice for all dmg, not just one (butcher chain clever is dmg 2).
Sorry, I just love Necromunda, and missing some rules can be itchy for me. :P
Anyways, great job, and can't wait to see more! :D
this has to be the most fun small skirmish game GW have ever done, and that terrain really adds to it. love the mayhem
Can’t wait for episode 2!
The 3 R's of Cadian Education : Reading - Riting - Rtillery ! xD
Never get rid of the news anchor, that was brilliant.
Yeah we love Landon, he’s the GOAT 👍
Time Stamp 3:02 for usual childish shenanigans. Love it!!
Great batrep, appreciate your style and the narrative focus and since Necromunda is the second-best GW game (Titanicus is clearly the best) more Necromunda content is always welcome.
Quite a few rules niggles though, as it always is with the almighty cluster that is the Necromunda ruleset...
Missed a lot of the rules with the Corpse Grinder Masks; should have been rolling Willpower to Shoot or Fight at the Champions and all masks (Except the Butcher) give you a +1 to your save which would have affected a couple of the saves.
14:20 Blaze triggers on a hit not a wound, so you should have rolled to check if those chumps were set on fire! Also, Hand Flamers don't have the Sidearm trait so you can't shoot it and the Autopistol via the Twin Guns Blazing rule.
19:40 Need to roll the ammo dice for the Pistol in combat, it's a shot not a pistol-whip!
20:40 The joke-shop-dagger Delaque needed to turn to face the Juve and then the Cutter so would have been hitting on 5+ (not that it mattered). Happened on a number of other occasions too.
23:55 Should be rolling 2 injury dice as a Solid shotgun shot is D2 (Also he'd have been Knockedback as the hit roll is higher than his Strength)
31:10 You can get within 1" of an enemy while charging even if it isn't the target you're charging, so you can charge 'around' someone, however his base would have needed to fit through the gap between the Delaque and the barrels. There's some awkward rules around charging 'the shortest path' so arguably you can't move around to the side of someone, but ugh that rule is bollocks.
34:00 The initiative check doesn't stop him jumping down, it just means he loses his footing and is Pinned but as he fell
Cheers for commenting and also the rules tweaks, tbh we just wanted to jump in and have fun and learn along the way, but also super appreciate you guys helping along the way with that too 😍😍😍👍
Looking forward to the rest of this 🙂 Terrain looks great but the way, any chance is of a video on how it was built/painted?
You guys really did a great job. Boy, that live report was so funny.
Absolutely brilliant stuff guys. Saved this for a rainy day and so glad I did. Proper cheered me up. Nice one 😃👍
Happy to help! Glad you enjoyed it, sorry we got loads of rules wrong!
Oh my days, how have I only just watched this... "I miss my family, I'm stuck in a new studio" 🤣🤣
I'm glad someone noticed! Haha
The adverts were amazing! I hope you released them as shorts for anyone who didn't decide to watch this?
Yeah that’s not a bad idea
Really enjoyed this, good atmosphere, great board, and you talked about what was going on. Lots more please :)
New favorite battle report format! Well done!
Great video guys, I've ben reading my copy of old Necromunda recently so it's interesting to see how the current version plays :)
Epic job! Loved it! Will be sharing to the Sanctuary Games Necromunda group! 😎👍
Not normally interested in UA-cam batreps, but this was brilliant. Really enjoyed the scenario, the models, the banter and the pace! Oh, and the adverts too!
This video made my day, never looked at Necromunda before…now I’m interested…a perfect break from the normal.
This campaign is gonna be fun! Looking forward to the painting tutorials for the gangs and terrain. Those corpse grinders look great with that green and copper gold!
Rewatching this with a little more knowledge of Munda under my belt the corpsegrinders seem way better than other gangs
Sir Loin! I'm not the only one that finds that name cheeky.
This was excellent 👌 I am about to start a necromunda campaign with my friends, and this just made me that much more excited to start !
Much love from Las Vegas 🙌
Amazing! Hope the campaign goes well, much love back at ya from Nottingham 😍👍
Very entertaining, especially the news reports and Geoff giving everyone the middle finger during the XP conversation! The rules of this game are super crunchy, though, so it warms my Kill Teamer heart to know I’ve left 2018 for 2021!
Love it, great seeing you guys play. Any chance of changing the angle on the dice cam? As much as I love Jeffs hand, it was difficult to see his rolls
Lessons learned for next time, absolutely.
There's a Necromunda app? Got to say this is my favorite Necromunda Battle report. It has inspired me to get into the game!
That pan through the market, chef's kiss. Loving this lads.
This batrep was so much fun! Can't wait to see more from the Necromunda campaign.
Great work lads - please release the ads as shorts. They were brilliant.
The commercials could be a series. Nice work fellas
Great stuff chaps - just got round to watching this, thoroughly entertaining.
That intro was amazing. and the game was fun to watch!
Thanks
Never watched anything like it.....Awesome!
Hypeeeee! Love the news coverage.😅 The pegging joke I can't. Love Necromunda this is gonna be good.
