I bought it, then looked for reviews. Whew! I’m not going to do a lot, but I had a gift card for Lowe’s. But it looks like I’m going to be happy! Thanks. 😊
Just got mine can’t wait. This is a Cadillac compared to a 38 year old craftsman.no light no air .this Wen is a very nice scroll saw for the money. I’m Very satisfied
I still have to figure out how to use the quick-change blade kit that came with it. reason being I bought extra blades and they came without the pin in them, so I guess I have to use the kit? one of the two blades that came with the scroll was like that as well.
Thanks for the helpful video. They have a new model 3923 that has an easy access side panel for easier blade changes. Is this worth $20 more? Everything else is the same. I haven't scrolled before am buying this for a gift. Thanks for your help.
Hey Tom, can I use a coping saw type blade in this scroll saw? I need flat straight cuts. I am working on a project and I need to cut hundreds of pencils into 1 1/2” sections. Thank you
I was hoping to see the actual unboxing. Mine came in a sloppy state with the faceplate out of position and making contact with the blade, and was wondering if it's normal.
Im about to start making a small homemade pinball machine and I have 1/2 inch mdf. (partical board from a old coffee table) . was looking at a mini table saw but I think this would be the better investment because ill need to cut more than just straight lines. this should do the trick? Awesome video btw!
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ Thanks for the speedy repy! Think I'm going to pull the trigger on it. I been going deep on pinball videos and been watching some awesome homemade pinball tables. Thanks again!
Good video. Don't believe the delivery times on Lowes website, they lie. Not two days. Mine was 7 business days (1 1/2 weeks) from Lowes and Fed Ex. Went with Amazon for my subsequent Wen sander and got it immediately.
For sure, your channel is very interesting :0 anotherquick question, in your opinion and experience, si it possible to create a cutting board with this scroll saw?(1/2' matericla thickness)?
Jessica P Creation Thanks for Watching Jessica! If you’ve never scrolled before just start with some cheaper 3/4” pine. Or even some 3/8” fir plywood will scroll nicely.
Hi tom ok now after 1 year using can you share your experience like if any part has broken or suffered wear, extra noise that has appeared and its performance in general till today it would be very helpful if you share this data if you want to put it in the comments it's fine if you want to do a video updatejust in case i subscribe
Thanks for watching! I still have it and it works well for light abc thin material, 1/2” or less. Also picked up the DeWalt which is now my main scroll saw
its oct 2022 home depot in Canada its 192.00 doesn't come with a light, on Amazon its $138 plus $40 for shipping and it DOES come with that light, welp home depot you shot yourself in the foot, going with amazon, thank you for the review
Don't do this.....Take your $100 to Craig's list and do your research on the tools you find there. THIS is a low-end tool.......It will disappoint. Wen makes a mid-range scroll that people like. $370 on Amazon.
Just picked up a used wen scroll saw, I'm a visual learner - thanks for posting this.
Thanks for watching!

Mine came that way, too. Just arrived today.

Hi Tom, nice review! My question is, would I need a band saw if I own a scroll saw?
Thanks for watching! It all depends how thick of material you are cutting scroll saws are only good for 1” or less.
Great review. Thank you ☺️
Thanks for Watching!
Good blades are a must.
Thanks for Watching! Agreed
Looks like the harbor freight one to me but with a light ?
Thanks for Watching!
does this saw cut metal with a metal blade or just wood? Thanks
Thanks for watching Chris! I haven’t tried metal but I would think that with thinner material and the right blade that it would
What's the largest size wood you can cut?
Thanks for watching! 3/4” thickness is pretty much it’s limit

You could try... it’s a scroll saw not meant for perfect straight cuts to fit together pieces for a cutting board
does it cut 1/16" sheet steel??
Thanks for Watching! With the right blade, yes
What type of Blades should I get for cutting think Brass sheets 0.10” thin…??
Thank U☯️
I just ordered mine!! What. Type of wood did you use and you think works best?
Jessica P Creation Thanks for Watching Jessica! If you’ve never scrolled before just start with some cheaper 3/4” pine. Or even some 3/8” fir plywood will scroll nicely.
Ah thank you so much! Loved your video
And the detail of the scroll saw unboxing!
I bought one with a drill press from Walmart for 200$ it took 3 days to arrive
Nice! That’s a great deal! Thanks for watching!

Wow
Thanks!
I’m an amateur but my eyes tell me there’s not a lot of difference in the construction of a sewing machine and scroll saws...
Thanks for Watching!
