- First Time Hearing LOVEBITES Judgement Day (Official Video) Reaction What up Sycho Nation and welcome back to the Asylum. It has been forever since I took a look at Lovebites. So today I am taking a look at Judgement Day, Lovebites most recent music video.
Lovebites does not disappoint in todays video, with heavy hitting music and their soft haunting singing mixed in with some LEGENDARY guitar battles judgement day has it all.

Let's stop comparing them to this or that group because they are the best and they have proven for 6 years that they are the ones who should serve as a reference. I'm 70 years old and it's the best metal band I've ever known and far ahead of all the others.
like eyeosphere00 said it was just a comparison in similarities for dragonforce and lovebites. As for comparing to babymetal I was just stating that each is at the top in their respective groupings. Babymetal doesn't compare truly cause like they said babymetal just sings with a ghost band. Lovebites has all the talent with a killer drummer and absolutely killer singer and of course all the guitarists and bassist.
I agree with you It was enough of everybody referred Lovebites to other bands. At least with this song, they proved they opened a new genre, a new horizon of their own. Now they are far outstanding from any other bands.

I thought promoters wanted to make money! Well, these ladies are money! Market them in the US and that mosh pit with a 100,000 people at a concert could be a reality. It could look like Nightwish at Wacken 2013, massive crowd. What red blooded male wouldn't want to see this? What red blooded female wouldn't admire these women? Absolutely gorgeous and ridiculously talented. That's the whole package!
Yeah, I agree. Lovebites is lightning-in-a-bottle. They are "the next big thing". They just need a world tour to make it happen.

On 17 August 2021, LOVEBITES took an extended break after their leader, bassist Miho, left the group.
The remaining girls organised an audition for a new bassist from the public from all over the world and recruited a new bassist named Fami.
"JUDGEMENT DAY" is the first song from the long rest.
"JUDGEMENT DAY" proves that LOVEBITES is back in full force and justifies the adoption of Fami.
You will be amazed by new bassist Fami's slapping and fast finger picking. If you watch "Alien Alien" on her UA-cam channel, which was uploaded 4 years ago with 10,470,000 listens on her content, you will be amazed at her world-class slapping skills.
With the addition of new bassist Fami, the trio Harmony Shredder has become a reality.
Fami is a five-string bassist who can dance, sing, and play, and boasts 669,000 UA-cam subscribers.
Fami is 20 years old with a cute smile.
Fami will turn 21 on 1 June 2023.

Its human nature too draw comparisons when something is new too you. They have a similar formula with DF but they have a much deeper writing and performing pedigree going on. These girls are Speed,Power and Class 100% Everything they do is Tasteful and makes sense from first note too last rest. They are Amazing and now with 60 plus songs they have an incredibly Hard AF Catalog.
Yes the only reason i did the comparison was strictly because i know more about dragonforce than lovebites but guarantee that will change sooner than later lol

On the main chorus "rise, this is judgement day" and on the guitar solo.. Fami bassline was soooooooo good and catchy ...clear af as well

I will correct you on BabyMetal. They are not all female, just the singers are. And regarding DragonForce, sorry, but they are not on the level of Lovebites, and honestly it's not that close. Lovebites are the standard in my mind. Their compositions are more complex, and every instrument is played at virtuoso level. Asami's vocals are as powerful as it gets. Miyako & Midori are the best dual lead guitarists going today, arguably ever. Fami's technical bass style fits so well with M & M, and adds a whole new layer of sound to Lovebites. The solo run is the best I've ever heard, a big reason being Fami's bass lines acting like a 3rd lead. Again, not approaching the level of DragonForce, but exceeds any and every band, and that I will stick to that 100%. No offense to DragonForce, but they hold Lovebites beers. Haruna uses the cymbals and china better than any drummer I know, and in fact uses 100% of her kit. I think as a final song, it should be a well established one. I feel your thought of a 2nd song in a concert being a good fit, or the opening of an encore set.
This song is my favroite song by any band, pure perfection.
They released a second song to the upcoming album, audio only, "The Spirit Lives On", which is on their official UA-cam channel.
I was just comparing cause they were the first band that came to mind when seeing/hearing a guitar battle during a song. Due to dragonforce being more widely known (where I am) it was an easier comparison for me than to think of one that may be on the same metric as lovebites. No insult meant to the band in any way. I will also add the spirit lives on to the list thanks for watching and for the suggestion
The technical prowess of Miyako and Midori on guitars and the ultra fast tempo of the songs are why they get compared to DragonForce. I believe most reactors are not comparing songs or songwriting ability. The comparison is more about the vibe, fast and technical. I am a huge Lovebites fan who also listens to DragonForce and I hear the similarities, it is what is.

@@TheCyberMantis Gene is such a badass, it took Dave Lombardo to replace him in Testament. Gene is a great guy to and I've had the pleasure of meeting him at least a half dozen times. Haruna is getting there for sure, but Gene is a monster drummer.
Both BabyMetal and DrangonForce are crap. LOVEBITES are far much better and the best band in the world.

First,The all female bands of Show Ya and Princess Princess in the 80's in Japan kicked off all female bands. Show Ya still together and promoting All female bands with their Naon Yaon Festival. Second is the culture and the educational system. Talent is recognized early and supported.
As to Dragon Force, I'm a fan especially of Herman Li, his blog with Band Maid & Saki were informative, fun, has some great guitar riffs. That had Herman stunned.
Also Lovebites toured the UK with Dragon Force just before the covid shutdown.

Sorry, DF always all about technical but they forgot to add "beauty" on composing their song. LOVEBITES aren't just technical, but they know how to compose a powerful, beatiful and catchy song.
*PLENTY* of All Female Bands in Japan.
The music industry in Japan is 3 times larger than in the United States if we compare the size of their population.
I just want to point that speed metal, power metal, symphonic metal, and female metal or rock bands has been around for many decades.
Sometimes especially when I watch American reactors they are so amazed about all this that we Europeans and other countrys outside US has been knowing for long...
For an example many Americans discover Nighwish symphonic metal now thats been around back since 1996..
Offcourse they often by themselves say:" What rock has I been living under !!??" ... And yes you have...
Then when the different US reactors talks about metal or rock. They only seem to compare and catalouge everything with US bands. Often like old stuff not at all relevant today...
So sadly they have not paid attention to all the amazing music thats everywhere else.
I will stick out my head and say that the best metal or rock music today is not from USA. Both female and male stuff..
There is a world outside US :)
Im glad that more and more Americans discover that...
Many have some decades to catch up :)

I'll be so happy when people stop comparing Lovebites to Dragon force! Let's face it Lovebites is far better than Dragon force! Other than that this was a good reaction
I was not trying to compare but give a referance that i understood and that i believed most would understand. What i meant really was you dont see guitar battles in a lot of music and the only one i could think of off the top of my head was dragonforce. By no means am i thinking dragonforce is on par with lovebites
Lovebites is the heaviest metal in the history. They gone far beyond Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, Dragonforce? nah. They dropped one another piece after this titled Spirit Lives On ua-cam.com/video/zjPV9Xr1a7g/v-deo.html. It is an audio track and some say Judgement Day is better but I love them both equally. It's even crazier in technical view, especially Haruna. Drumming is just insane, it is impossible. You must try it.
I see/hear princess Haruna doing Gene Hoglan style. Gene is a legend. Haruna might very well be the next Gene Hoglan. Gene was my favorite metal drummer for many years. Ive only ever listened to one baby metal song anf it was a lyric video so honestly i didnt know. I figured they made the tracks and sang over them but have since been told i was wrong
