@@TommoOnUA-cam I was skeptical that yours would be better but it is. However, in an alternative universe, I could see the roles reversed. Where your design was actually made by Haas and the current one was your design.
I think my favourite part of the video was honestly seeing the little tweaks you'd make to the actual car as opposed to the full scale redesign.
Might do that a bit more in the remaining ones in that case 👌
@@TommoOnUA-cam I loved it. Especially when the overall thoughts on the actual livery is good, it's better to see something great get better than seeing a completely new idea in my opinion.

I prefer the real one. I like the simplicity of a primarily two colour (black and white) livery with red mainly used to highlight the logos.
I wouldn't be disappointed with yours either, I just think that you lose a lot of the pop by adding so much red in (though it probably is just as much to do with the lighting).
Fair do's, I definitely pulled out a lotta white too. Totally different colour balance on mine.
Your front wing is so much better in my opinion. Also completely agree with you about the hatched part, was the first thing that caught my eye that really looked off. Still the best livery they ever had probably.

I really like your take on it! The front wing looks absolutely insane, much prefer that over the real deal. I think that a pure white would fit better instead of the kinda gray that you went for, or maybe it's just the lighting being funky..

Ultimately I think I like the real one more. I think yours has interesting elements that I'd like to see brought over, but I think the black from the side and white from the front design really works.
Original, by far Tommy. Honestly, the new livery from side on, looks slick. with the aero bits flattening the sides, accentuating the logo. It just fits. And the white streaks just add to the edgy vibe.
I feel a mesh of both liveries is where the sweet spot is for me.
I like the less fiddly bits of your design, but prefer the blend of white and black on the original design.

Can't believe they aren't stealing your ideas. You have a great eye for the clean/smooth layouts on these cars. I think the red ring wheel covers looked good, though.
tommo's redesign looks like the 2022 livery with the colours swapped around and the moneygram logo on.
The real livery is like a modernized version of Newman-Haas CART/indycar livery from the 90s and I’m a big fan for sure
i liked the white edging on the front wing and i think it would suit your livery too + maybe same white edging on the winglets
You NEED to put these on race department so ppl can use your liveries on games

Your design is good. Pretty classic black Haas. The biggest advantage of your design are Haas can spend less money on paints, and better laptime due to less paints equal to lighter car.
But, if we talk about preference, i prefer the official one.

You nailed it. Only change I would suggest is the Haas logo, instead of red that overpowers their main sponsor, I would have it white with red outline.
I don't really like either because I loved that clean white Haas last year. But from a marketing standpoint, yours is leaps and bounds better.
I like both options to be far but am liking the Black version more. Though, seems off to me on the HAAS logo being inversed.
Personally, I hope on the actual livery version we see that black be a matte/bare carbon fiber with either gloss or metallic paint on the Red and White.
This is such a better version than the real one, it is insane! I also like the fact that it is pretty similar to Porsche's 911 RSR livery, which is one that I really like.
Best series I look forward to every year! I love your honesty and reality and then at the same time being like “yeah nah mines better though” keep up the great work bud
I like both your redesign and the real life car. I feel like your design would be a solid IndyCar or even as you stated with the Dale Earnhardt reference, it could work on a NASCAR Cup car. Nice work tho Tommo!

I definitely like your version better. Yesterday everybody making comments was fawning over the design, I was thinking way to plain. They were just hungry to see the first livery.
The red border to split the white from the black, and the red numbers, much better. Haas in red on the black, oh yeah.
I like the real one pretty well but this is better IMHO. The color contrast is nicer, plus with the red, black, gray instead of white reminds me of the 2018 car. Very nice.
It's a really simple but nice touch, my favorite part is actually the top of the halo. The white breaking up the black silloughet of the car on the top down view is great. Overall nice job on this.

Excellent. You know we’re getting close when you have livery reveals and redesigns. Now it really feels like we’re getting back into F1 season proper.
I’ve had a strong sense of trepidation for this year ever since the news of Matty and Tommy, but this puts me at ease a bit.

In my opinion, Haas will have a top 3 livery this year. But yours is 100% better, it gives vibes to the Rich Energy style, which IMO is one of the best ever liveries.
I like the side view of the real car more because of the all black side pods. I wish haas made the logo on the side pod red, I think that woudve looked really good. But the front view on the redesign is actually really really nice
Waited for these all year! I do think the very top of the nose right below the halo is a bit empty but other than that I love it.

Sorry, Tommo, and usually you're spot on. And I love seeing your versions, but I really like the real Haas livery. I think I prefer yours front the front, but it's busy from the side. I think it's the best Haas livery for years.

I prefer the original, it's simplistic yet it fills up the car's space very well, that dotted line at the back makes the MoneGram sponsor look like it's more in the open yet it also blends in with the rest of the livery, the white Haas logo with the two lines makes you really look at that Haas logo/name. While yours is definitely not bad but looking at it from the top, the black is to overwhelming, the only other colours really visible from any angle are the wing plates and some lines on the sidepod. And idk, the second I've seen the original Haas, i immediately fell in love with it and I'm not even a Haas fan
Love yours, but ultimately the bodywork is completely different and the livery is functioning different too. The real one is so perfect for me because it has the feel of last years car but if they made it more aggressive, it’s gonna be badass zipping down Las Vegas 🔥
Your front wing is probably my favourite part of the redesign! Excited to see the rest of the cars as they come out!

I especially like the grey with the red "Haas". It is like the 2017 livery which is my favourite Haas livery.

Thought I was the only one to spot they even took the font style from the 2017/20 Renaults, not to mention the concept.
I like the idea but I think the stripe may have been better red with white accent, also I don't like the overlap of the MoneyGram logo on the striping and the MoneyGram logos with stroke. This is what holds it back from the original one, IMO. But solid redesign as always. Front wing looks very cool.
Your front wing and MoneyGram logo look better, however, I like the overall scheme of the original. Good job!

When I looked at yours I thought of Dale and then you mentioned it 🤣. I like it a lot. As for the actual haas for 2023 design, it's a 7/10. It's solid

6.5/10 for me. The lack of white on the back of the car is a weird choice, I think it had a lot mote potential. I absolutely agree with the comment about Moneygram and the Haas name being used on the car, that is a very good point. The one good thing about Haas missing sponsors, is thay all the sponsors fit very nicely within the thems of the livery. There's no more blue, because of 1&1, or the mandatory BWT pink that will be on the Alpine.
I love it, one thing I would like change is the white outline on the big Haas logo

I usually like your redesigns, but in my humble opinion, the front white-side black design is a ABSOLUTE BANGER and if you would've made your design with that idea integrated, it might've been better than the original
honestly, i actually prefer the real one in that case. look cleaner to me. the only thing id change is removing the white line on top of the side-airboxes. but for me the haas this year is the best looking one since 2017
I think I prefer Haas' actual design over yours overall. Your front wing looks better for logo placement. I never really cared for the red Haas logo, and I think the Moneygram logo placement & size on the side was better on the original. Not sure how I'm feeling your swooping lines either, as it's giving 2022 livery vibes and gives the side profile a chunkier look instead of a swift look. I dislike the Palm Angels logo in itself; that being said I think Haas had a slightly better placement although I liked that you made it smaller. Anyway those are my personal critiques and preferences. 100% appreciate that you spend the time to do this and give us interesting content. Looking forward to the other redesigns!
Haas is my favorite team on the grid. I really want to see them do good. BTW this new livery is amazing !!!
The thing about HAAS having their name on the car, probably comes down to the amount of sponsors they have.
Yours is closer to what I would like Haas to be, their Black / Grey / Gold livery in their beginning years were the best imo.
Love the font on the current Haas, underrated part of any livery
would be cool if you tried to redesign the actual design, like, if the logo is in x place is probably because it must be there, so instead of creating a completely different design you should try to make the real one better mantaining the real life constraints that it need to have! love your design content bro, keep up!
I think yours looks more balanced in terms of sponsor logo placement, there is too damn much blank space on the side of the real livery. Also, props for making the car numbers actually legible, it annoys me when teams keep making them smaller and using worse fonts every year.
Regarding the colour, I think having more white when looked at from the front makes it pop more in race broadcasts, but in the studio-type setting of the renders, I definitely prefer your design.
Do it for Dale! Granted, you did not noticed it until you teased it, but I think it works well with Dale's font number
I'm pretty sure the 'hatching' or vertical breaks in the white line on the sidepod are less a deliberate design choice and more air vents on the engine cover, which we've seen a lot of with these cars. It's hard to tell from the render though
They don't appear to be on the render, but they could well be on the real thing 🤔
I think I prefer the real thing more in general but I like some elements of yours more. Like the front wing. The way you moved the logos made it look kind of cluttered in my opinion. I think a combination of your design and the original would make the perfect livery. Excited to see your other re-designs :)
Didnt like the Haas livery too much but prefer it to your redesign. The white highlight on the logo feels very dated and the grey is pretty bland and dull. I do like the idea of mainly black, think they could have done a great 180 with that concept. Love that you do these videos though, great off-season content and look forward to the rest of yours
I prefer the original over yours overall but your from the side looks a lot better with haas logo and the transition of the colors very nice.
I think that's the best Haas livery since the rich energy livery (which i loved because it gave me lotus vibes)
Aarava and you should do a design competition and see who can design the best design for each team
My constructor predictions for 2026:
Porsche buys Alpha Tauri.
Penske or Ford Mustang buys Haas.
Jaguar gets the name sponsor for Williams.
Cadillac Andretti become the 11th team on the grid.
Maserati gets sneaky expansion team and become the 12th team on the grid.

The top view looking down on your design is 🔥
Big fan of the new Haas livery, only a bit upset about the 'basic' swooshes and lines.
The black area in the redesign looks a bit empty and clumsy, adding accents to the halo and intake ducts to break up the black would've looked much better, also an outline on the driver number font, instead of the bold red. However, it does look much different than the original one, and it's still a redesign, so I can't get upset.
My grades:
Real livery: 6.5/10, looks decent and clean, but that's about it.
Tommo livery: 5/10, looks a bit clumsy, but it's a valid try, I certainly couldn't do better.
Great video however, looking forward to the next liveries!

The designs are usually amazing but this was a flop, made the car feel cheaper idk how to explain it. but the bottom half of a car being black is fine due to it being normal to hide aero, but the bottom half having color and top half being black feels super jank. idk why, but it really does.
I do really like your new design, but imo the contrast with the bright white and black and red is a better pairing than the grey. They grey feels very washed out and doesnt make the car pop as much as I personally like.

Both liveries are equal 8/10s in my opinion. The design of Tommo’s redesign is blander but there is more red than the real deal. Both still suffer from the issue of not having enough red.

I slightly prefer the original livery, because i`m a fan of designs without outlines. Especially the white "Haas" on the sidepods is what i really like. But i prefer also the rearwing and the, 2022-lookalike front view instad of yours. I appreciate that your livery overall looks cleaner and i like the side and the topview of yours. But in the end, the original is more my taste.
Both are solid 7s for me!

I do have one pet peeve about formula 1 liveries in general.
The car numbers need to be more visible from the front and the sides!
