This is one of the best track guides I have seen. The diagrams of where to put your wheels on each turn is extremely helpful and so easy to see the way you have shown it. This video has really helped me. Thank you!
I'm glad you found it useful, since this i got some audio equipment so newer guides are less chore to watch due to you can listen instead of read. :) But i'll redo Misano somewhen hopefully.
Fantastic track guide mate! In-depth, precise, no-nonsense. I wish there was an audio explanation as well but let's leave that for the future or so ;) While I'm still very new to the game and sim racing in general and nowhere close to your lap times, I was able to easily manage the license using your Porsche setup for the track. Thank you very much, greart work and keep it up!
Thank you for your feedback! I'm considering the audio part but since i don't have any equipment for it, it's a future project... maybe. I'm glad that you could get your licence with the help of my guide and the setups. And don't be modest, Misano is a very technical track so you have to be decent in order to drive 7 clean yet fast laps here.
Turn 10 is my nemesis. Get it right about 1/10, sometimes I just sacrifice the entry to get a good exit onto the long "straight". Turn 13 is where a good set-up can make a big difference on not losing the back end (for me anyway!) Can't wait to try you Macca set-up here. Thanks dude.
Welcome, i hope this and the setups help you! There is a reason LFM choose Misano, Hungaroring and Zolder for their licence test, as they are very technical tracks. Turn 10 is a prime example of this as a decreasing radius and very crucial corner. You must have good approach, timing and deep trail braking in order to be efficient in it. T13 is quite easy with the Mac, especially on the safe setup (thou as a Porsche driver, every car is easy on high speed corner braking compared to that... :) ). Just straighten the wheel during the heavy braking part, the car will keep rotating a bit but that is beneficial in that case. Usually i don't like that Mac as if i want to set it up stable it's sluggish in slow speed turn in. But on this track i quite liked it, the safe setup has very stiff front springs and dampers so it is the most stable mid engined car in T12-13. I'll release the race setup for it in a few days, just have to make a Qualy version and LFM tune for both, then do some nice laps to record.
what VR headset and GPU are you using? i am looking to get VR but not sure what headsets are good for sim racing and what specs i will need my PC to be at for it to be good.
I'm using a Quest 3 and driving it with an RTX3080. I would say the minimum is 3070 or 4060Ti level, with visible cropping you can have very good clarity and visuals and stable 90 FPS on those cards. I've wrote a guide how to set up the Q2/3, which you can find here: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2932276145
PS: This video is a bit cropped due to using the Quest's software stabilization, i have a better one which represent what i see much much better: ua-cam.com/video/DeAHtG5pNWU/v-deo.html
You can find fully customized beginner friendly setups for all the mainstream cars in the video description. I've showed the tyres because that is the only variable, all other parameters are optimized. :)
@@ohne_speed I just came across the your video and file download for the Porsche 992 GT3 R. You are doing god's work! Just with this video alone I was finally able to hit 1:38.128. Now I need to work on being consistent in order to get my LFM license.
I'm really glad my work helps you! Good luck with your licence, if you still struggling with the laptimes, just send me a link of a record of one of the lap with interior camera (not the wobbly helmet) and inputs visible. I'll point out where you make mistakes and how to solve them.
This is the hardest track in the sim right ? I have no issue being on pace on any other track but this is just constant turns on odd angles back to back almost no straights. I’ve never had issues on any other track in any sim ever. This one is just terrible with all the insane curb driving etc.
Depends on how do you define the term "hard"! For my it is Mt.Panorama due to the super tight and fast hill section where you have no room for any error. Misano is a technical track, but very forgiving and if you understand the flow of it it is actually a pretty good track. If you really struggle, send a replay to my mail (ohnespeed@gmail.com) and i'll analyse it when i have some free time.
Hi. Can it be that the BOP is better on thr LFM License Server? I was 1 to 2 seconds faster than my regular Training time. I did my Licence Run Yesterday and managed an average Time of 1.35:X which is my overall best Time. On all the other Laps i did on the Puplic Servers my best Time was a high 1:36 and average about 1:37:X At this Point thanks for your Guide it helped me to improve my Lap Times at two Corners i struggled in the past. For Anybody who is interested, I made a Video of my Licence Run, you can find it on my Channel :)
If you open up the timetable during driving, you can see the ballast added to all present drivers. Like i do it here: ua-cam.com/video/TcT5zPFZ_S8/v-deo.html
@@ohne_speed on the time table there was -17kg but I don't know if this is just on the lfm server or all public servers. I haven't checked it on public servers. However my latime was 1 to 2 seconds better on my licence run compared with my training laps before
@@MIMCKMedia The ballast on the timetable is always per server custom BoP, the stock BoP is much more complex as that controls power via restrictors and turbo restrictors too, and not visible anywhere in the game.

thanks to this video and settings for Ferrari from author, I am now part of LFM community. Much appreciate!
Nice! Have fun racing and as always: keep it safe! :)

Great one...
Very good video. You have a new subscriber. Good luck with the channel
Thank you and welcome to the channel! I should redo it as i have sound record equipment now, just im very busy with making setups. :)

very nice/well done track limit markers😍
Thank you! I hope it helps, i tried to highlight the areas where it is easy to invalidate your lap.
Do you have any setup for the amrv8 in this circuit?
Just a rudimentary one, but i could do 1:33 high with it. pastebin.com/JsQUEPBa

Is the setup only for the tire setup. Nothing for aero?
