So glad it helps! It can be easy to feel overwhelmed, so if you’re looking for basic reverbs, I usually recommend starting with no modifiers or modules to start. Then add modules as you need. Leave the modifiers out of it until you have a handle on the way the pedals work!
Question for you what does the Polyblend do (2 of 3 in the Reverb Menu)? You mention on 12 minute mark is a chorus effect? Trying to understand how it differs from the pitch mix. Many thanks in advance
@jmaccess thanks for the question! So I saw your question pop up and realized I should look it up before I answer…and guess what, there’s NO POLY BLEND. That’s right! It’s actually “PREDELAY BLEND” abbreviated as “PDLY” which to me read as “poly”. So there you have it. It blends the signal pre-delay in. Because of phasing, it has a chorus like sound at lower levels. Hope that helps and sorry for the mistake in my end!
I’d be happy to! Truthfully they’re a little intimidating, but I’ve wanted to learn them. Let me spend some time with them and then I’ll make a video on them in the near future!
Nicely done. Question on the Diffusion. It shows both in the Dynamics and in some effects as one of the parameters you can adjust in the reverb structure. Do you know why is that and the difference between the two?
I would have to read into it and the whys behind it but my thought is this. The diffusions built within certain reverbs are there as part of the design of that reverb and are part of the structure of that reverb. The Diffusion parameter within the Dynamics block has a greater ability to shape the overall sound and be place anywhere along the signal path you like allowing for more shaping controls of the overall reverb sound you’re building.
You guys i am really struggling trying to interface with this thing😅 any help would be appreciated. I have tried the iconnectivity mioxc and it doesn’t even show up in my laptop no detection. I also have a Morningstar MC6 pro that i just heard you can also use as a midi interface but I’m unsure of how to do so. Not sure how to set up the ports and which in/out to select in either prEditor or SysEx Librarian. Idk…I’m so frustrated lol
😩 I’m so sorry to hear you’re having troubles. Here’s the steps I’d take. If these don’t work, I’d recommend you reach out to Meris for more assistance. 1: make sure your MercuryX is updated to the latest firmeware 2: plug the white “midi in” cable of the mioxc to the MercuryX’s “midi out” & plug the black “midi out” of the mioxc into the MercuryX’s “midi in” 3: open prEDITOR and select the mioxc on the dropdown menu. 4: make sure you’re using the correct midi channel so your MercuryX will listen You should be good!
@@thepedalcollaborative dang so I think the mioxc must defective. Because I’ve still got nothing. Although, I have kinda figured out a way to use the MC6 but it’s a little fickle. Every now and then when I try to switch banks on the pedal and upload another preset, it’ll do this glitch firing back and forth between 1 & 2 or all three that I need to unplug power to fix. I think there’s some sort of midi interference somehow. Any thoughts?
I still can’t get into the prEditor btw…this is with SysEx Librarian. My Morningstar appears in the drop down for in and out and I have the midi channel set to the proper channel my meris is set to but it just keeps bringing the menu back up and doesn’t connect…idk I’ve contacted support as well as requested the latest firmware via email so we’ll see
@@thepedalcollaborative yes, this 3 buttons... they wiggle in all directions, dont feel normal... But i dont testet it now... i'm on the way home from the store... Maybe it wiggle for any settings? Or is it normal?
There is a slight wiggle to them since they also have to rotate. There is still stability in them. I haven’t felt like it’s a concern. I would say if you feel they wiggle too much, email the good folks at Meris and see what they think. I’ve found their customer service to be top notch!
First... thanks for the answer! I have the exhibit from the store. Its also not the original Display film on it. And no reset xD she said it is absolute new. And because of this i get a real new one without extra costs. They wiggle not all the same way, a bit more on c2. It works but for that money i want to wiggle them "death". @hansimcjohnny I check mine. There’s a little wiggle. Not so much that I’m concerned. I don’t expect it to be bulletproof though. With it having that screen I do try and be careful with it
Right now I have the LVX and a Mercury7 on my board but I'm am REALLY tempted to grab this up too. Sounds amazinggggg!!!
I have no doubt this could replace your M7!
Great job covering the basics! I was curious how complicated it was to configure some go-to sounds, but this helped me while I wait to get mine!

Of course we have all our presets available on our Patreon too
Thank you for this! Gonna listen on my commute this morning 🤌🏻
Awesome! This one’s a bit different. More on the technical and options. Would be a great one to listen to!
Shhhh, don’t want to wake up Grandma!
@keithbolves278 she gets angry if she doesn’t get her beauty sleep!
This is very helpful. Thank you so much.

@TheDRHall ok keep us posted! You can always email us at hello@thepedalcollaborative.com as well
@TheDRHall my guess is you’re somehow sending more data from the MC6 than you realize
I'm not really keen on the pitch effects, but everything else sounds great!
It’s such a versatile pedal that you don’t ever have to use the pitch effects if you don’t want! 🙌
Is it normal that the 3 push buttons are wiggle in all directions?
Which 3 push buttons? The black knobs that you press in are also meant to turn to make selections.

Because this is a pedal review by Batman?

Not sure if it is UA-cam, my playback, or something that happened in post production at your end, but the video and audio are out of sync.
Oh wow! Thanks for bringing it to my attention! Not sure what happened but I’ll look into it and re upload as needed
