I absolutely adore everything about your videos. So many times when I watch these of people I can get bored due to my adhd and have to forward thru or speed it up. With yours, I find myself wishing it were slower and longer. I honestly could watch anything you wanted to talk about. I'm not sure if it's because I taught for 21 years and feel a connection with you or what, but now I am homebound due to my health and you bring so much joy to my life. THANK YOU ❣️💙
Thank you so much Kera for your lovely words. I’m so sorry to hear your health is keeping you home bound. I’m glad to be able to provide some joy and connection. Xz
I was so happy to see I had a new “Tash,” episode to watch and thrilled to see it was over an hour long! You really are a delightful knitting companion. I love and want to make everything that is on your needles right now, especially Snow Wonder! Your cashmere dress is Ooh la la gorgeous, and a very well deserved treat!
I don’t think you could ever make a video that would be too long. You are so engaging and your projects are so wonderful. Seeing you model the Snow Wonder has me thinking I would like to make that sweater. I shy away from Bobbles but the design is intriguing. I am so excited for you to finally have come to a place of contentment with that skirt. I love how it turned out and the buttons definitely give it personality. Enjoy your last 4 days of rest. Please remind us before your husband has his surgery so we can be praying for him. ❤🙏
Wonderful video! I am so glad that you mentioned your Hidden Basket of WIPs. Your video when you talked about that Basket, was so inspiring to me. I started pulling one wip out a month and finishing it. You turned my whole thought process around about my old wips. I find it fun and exciting. I have continued to buy new yarn, cast on and Knit new projects while finishing wips. Thank you so much all you share. Your love and knowledge of knitting, projects, wips, friends from the vault, life, travels , and of course your Hidden Basket of WIPs. Your new black dress is gorgeous 🎉 Have a lovely week, Tami
Thank you so much Tami. I am glad that Hidden basket of WIPs segments has helped inspire you to breathe life into languishing projects. I’m determined to pull mine out again and have a look see at what is laying dormant in there. :)
The snowflake looks great and fits you really well. The poppy tee also turned out great. It also looks very nice on you. I find it so fun that we are on opposites of the world. But we can still connect. I hope you are getting some time for yourself. I enjoy watching your videos. You are so organized, and I love how you and have divided your posts into categories. Take care! Toni
Your Poppy Tee is a winner and looks great on you. I cannot wait to see the lavender Magnolia sweater....it's a beauty too. Your new cashmere dress is a stunner on you; that waist ring really sets it off and compliments your slender shape....hurrah for treats and indulgences! (new shoes included)
The Poppy Tee is lovely and looks great on you. The Wool and Berries sweater begins in an unusual way. I love the colour of the yarn chosen for Magnolia Sweater it is a beautiful colour. You have so many knits on the go my goodness. I am recovering slowly and I value your prayers Tash ❤😊
How great to see your Carnaby skirts again and that the ‘dye saga’ version is now wearable for you! 😃 Your Snowflake jumper is looking gorgeous! I started working on a beanie while watching your podcast and am incorporating a design from my Mary Jane Mucklestone book of fair isle designs - I asked for the book for Mothers’ Day. There are so many designs I want to try! 🥰 Thanks for another terrific episode Tash. 😃🧶
🥰🥰Great podcast…oh my goodness so many beautiful projects ❤Your dress and shoes look so pretty!!! Sending prayers for your husband’s knees and upcoming surgeries. 🙏
What another fab episode 💪🏻🥰 loved all of it so much. Love the shoes and that dress is just divine. Your poppy tee looks so good and a black cashmere one would be perfect. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the last holiday days, Karen 😘
Your projects both finished and in progress are all gorgeous! And so is your stunning new dress. Thank you so much for another delightful and informative podcast. Enjoy your last few days of freedom!
Hi Tasha thanks for your video love the updates of your projects. I really enjoy your friends from the vault. We often are seeing what's new, but I love seeing those past knits. Especially those 5+ yrs Awesome.😊
Thanks for your lovely long episode 😊 It's kept me company this afternoon while I've been sitting outside my motel room here in Akaroa watching the sun sink behind the hills over the other side of the harbour. You inspired me to pick up my sweater wip instead of 1 of the 4 new cast ons! I might just get it finished....only needs a couple of cms before the hem on the body...then I can wear it b4 winter ends
Great podcast, always enjoy them and all your projects, new and old. I have also just finished knitting the champagne cardigan from deep stash (its blocking right now) and also played yarn chicken with my main yarn which was Bendigo 8 ply luxury so I thought it might be helpful for you to know that the button placket uses a lot of yarn as it is double knitting on 3mm needles. I weighed my yarn before I started the placket and I used nearly 60 grams for the size small. Enjoy the rest of your break and looking forward to the next podcast.
Thanks Tash, for yet another enjoyable episode. Perfect solution to your Clover Tee, that cami 👌Oooh..you look sylish in your black knit dress. Glad you got away for a short break before school resumes . I scored a gorgeous hand knit angora lace cardi and machine knit cashmere jumper on Market place the other day, which I am more than happy to wear alongside my own makes. The softness, lightness and warmth of both are perfect. Enjoy the rest of your break, young lady.xx
Love your podcast. But those shoes and black dress are both stunning. Great purchase. You look fabulous in it. Sooo classic. It's always a great day when I see a new podcast is up from you. :)
Just discovered your podcasts and am really enjoying seeing you try the knits on and honest thoughts about the patterns . Great balance of detail and knowledge 😊
I’m a teacher too (in UK so we’ve just started our long summer break🎉) and I get that same urgency to knit, sew, make EVERYTHING as the last few days of the holidays disappear😁
It’s so nice to have a little get away with shopping and relaxing. If you have never tried backwards knitting, it’s easy and perfect for those knitting and purling type bobbles.
Thank you so much for the suggestion. I thought about it when i was half way through and then i worried my tension might change. If i do this kind of bobble again, i will swatch with backwards knitting and then i get a tension i like, i will do that way. Especially if there are a lot of bobbles. :)
Love the purple. You are lucky that you wear so many colours well! I didn’t notice the bobble on snow wonder until you pointed it out. It’s true though if you know there is something that isn’t right you feel compelled to fix it. It’s so pretty!
Jumping to the end first lol OMGOODNESS that black dress looks gorgeous on you ❤ The nude cami goes brilliantly with your clover tee and your poppy tee looks amazing on you, you do suit so many colours. When you were talking about running out of yarn for your cardigan I did laugh because when that happened to me I started knitting faster and tighter 😂 do you do that? Great podcast ❤
Thanks so much Carol. I definitely do the same when i get nervous about running out of yarn. Like if i knit faster, it will somehow make a difference. ;)
Just discovered your podcast. Love everything about it. Will thoroughly enjoy going back and watching the others. Thankyou. Adore your knits. Knitting the Hobart socks in Adelaide 😊
Beautiful job on all the projects. I agree with you on the oversized front and back on some raglan sweaters. You can either cast on fewer stitches to become allotted to the front and back, or do raglan increases on the front and back every other increase row (maybe just do the raglan increases for the sleeves every time). Also, I find that I have to look at the amount of ease for sweaters. Ten inches of positive ease for a size small is likely to be overwhelming on me at 155 cm tall and 46 kilograms in weight.
Thank you very much for you Episode! Some month ago I have started to watch your Episoden and I Love them. Your Tipps are amazing! I am more a shawl Knitter but I Love your thoughts and ideas. It is very inspiring for me. Since I started to watch you Episoden I have knitted two hats (the Oslo hat and the Musselburgh hat). I agree with you that the pattern of the Oslo hat with Mohair and without Mohair are so similar. I have also written to Camiilla Vad and got no answer. That was very annoying for Me. I have ask a german online woolshop (Maschenfein) and they helped me with my question. I agree with you that it is the job of the designers to help. I have very good experiences with Isabell Kraemer and Natasa Hornby (Moonstruck Knits). I made the decesision for Me that I will not longer buy a pattern from Camilla Vlad. Because you have mention the retreat from Myak in Italy I went there three times and I Love it. But it is not so much knitting :-). And I Love the Myak yarn. The Myak Baby yak lace is softer an warmer than Cashmere. You should visit the knew Store from Hand Make Create in Sydney. She knitted a Lot with the Myak yarn. Have a nice day! Thanks for your episodes!
Thank you so much Doris for watching and for sharing your experiences with patterns. I love hearing that Isabell Kraemer and Natasa Hornby are so responsive and helpful. I am also delighted to hear that you enjoyed the Myak retreat you went 3 times. That is high on my list and can't wait to go. Hopefully in 2026 when all my children have finished at school. I am very excited ot knit with the Myak Baby Lace. I have the yarn all wound up ready to go - maybe my next cast on? I am heading to Hand Make Create with my friend Bec tomorrow. Really looking forward to visiting the store. Thank you again for watching and commenting. :)
Dear Tash, thank you for your wonderful inspirations that you give to me with your podcasts. Your thought of probably knitting 3/4 sleeves at your Champaign Cardigan goes constantly through my mind and I think if you have enough of the mohair yarn, you could think about knitting some mohair-only-stripes at the underarms. Kind regards from Germany Ulrike
Thank you so much Ulrike. That is a great idea. If i end up running short of the DK but have enough of the mohair, i will definitely do that. I think i might be ok though. Fingers crossed! :)
first time watching, LOVE your video! Never would have dreamed of knitting the snowflake (snowflake wonder) sweater. would look too frumpy on me but it is gorgeous on you and the color is perfect. Just a reminder - the alpaca is a hollow hair and very very warm so making a summer Tee with it might not be that practical (Summer attitude). Love the Tee. Thank you for sharing.....I'm a mono knitter and having that many projects would drive me crazy but it seems it suits you.
Thank you so much. I agree - i dont think the Everyday Attitude could be worn in summer if i make it out of alpaca, but maybe in the change of seasons and when i am working in air conditioning. Thank you for you lovely comments. :)
On the champagne cardigan, you could add some stripes in the body and sleeves. Like two bigger stripes of a contrast color or even a subtle camel or white. It changes the aesthetic to more casual maybe, but…would give you more yarn. I thoroughly enjoy your videos and how well you understand gauge and construction. I learn something new every time. Thanks
Thank you so much Traci and for the stripe suggestion. It’s a good idea but I don’t even really have a complementary yarn colour and mohair to use. I think I might be able to squeak it out when I unravel my swatches. Fingers crossed 🤞
Congratulations on your job with the skirt! You were so patient and persistent! The skirt looks great. In the first episodes of the @creabea podcast, she talks about her struggles with Magnolia Bloom - maybe you will find it helpful. Be well!
Well that was quite long Tash but well worth it. Thank you Quick question - if the pattern doesn’t say how you can mix the yarns(I.e. holding 2 strands) is there a way to determine how do that. (asking for a friend 😂😂😂) Looks like your wee jaunt away was very successful 🙋🏼🏴
Thank you so much. I am usually thinking about the fabric and gauge when I good two strands together. For example magnolia bloom uses two strands of mohair and two strands of fingering weight. You need that much for the gauge. But you can swap a worsted for the two strands of fingering to mimic the worsted weight. With the two silk mohair strands, one strands of Suri alpaca might work as it is usually heavier than silk mohair. Hope that helps. :)
Maybe if you found a caramel colored mohair or Alpaca and put it with the mushroom colored wool, you would get a colour you like better, that would go with both pairs of pants, and yet be not too matchy matchy?
Thank you. I might knit up a swatch in the yarn to see how it behaves and how it looks in knitted fabric next to the pants. I would like it try it on its own if possible.
If it was me I'd be thinking about doing the cardigan ribbings in a coordinating color and probably the button band as well. Seems a lot of concern and dithering about yarn chicken. Definitely would be a different look but at least all the parts would be the right length. I'm just about to start the Cozy Cube jacket by Hintern Stein in majorly bright pink Drops Air.
Thanks so much for the suggestion. I feel sure i will have enough - i just didnt want to knit the body to what seemed right and then JUST run out. I would rather have a half an inch less on the body than run out of yarn with 2 inches left on the button band. Hope you are enjoying your Cozy Cube. Love bright pink!
Have you ever tried the alternating cable cast on when you’re casting on for 1x1 ribbing? That’s my go to-I even use it for socks, so it’s quite stretchy and gives the look of a tubular CO with far less trouble.
Hi Talitha. Thanks for the tip. I have used it but sometimes i find it a bit too stretchy and was worried it might stretch out too much for the neckline. Trying to find a happy medium ground. Often depends on the yarn composition as well. :)
That is true. I hope I don’t have to as I love the look of the double knit band and it is what drew me to the pattern. Fingers crossed. I’ll reassess at the end of the body.
How about dropping down to that bobble, unknit it, spit splice the extra yarn needed to reknit the bobble (do a test to figure it out) and then once dry, reknit the bobble. 🎉
Thank you so much for the idea Cat. I've already ripped back an fixed it but i wish i had tried this first at least as an experiment - nothing to lose. If there is a next time (and there always is a next time), i will give that a go. ;)
Hi Tash. I wonder if you have a tutorial on how to do set up rows for a tubular bind off after knitting rib on the wrong side . I am knitting my hem ribbing from the wrong side to neaten it up... but unsure whether I need to turn to right side before doing the set up rows. Or can I do the whole process from the wrong side. I m overthinking this. Thanks for any tips or suggestions
Hi Anne. I actually thought this through so am glad you asked. I did the set up rows and the tubular bind off from the wrong side and didnt turn back. Just in case, i did the set up rows in reverse. That is, slipped the knits on the first row and slipped the purls on the second. Everthing else the same and it looks exactly the same. :)
Tash, I’ve noticed that there have been static, cracks and pops in the audio. I’m wondering if you need a need a new cable for your mic. Thank you for all of your content !😘😘
Thank you so much Sarah. I almost scrapped the whole video, i was so disappointed. But i thought I will put it out there but totally understand if some people find it too distracting to watch. I have a new microphone to try for next week (borrowed off my daughter). It seems good. No more snap, crackle pop!!
I love all your projects. They are absolutely beautiful. The skirt looks fantastic with the buttons you choose. That black dress looks absolutely gorgeous on you. Your videos are never too long.💕💕💕
I am thinking about it. I am going to try swatching it alone first to check on the knitted fabric as a swatch - it might look different enough - i would like to try knitting with the yarn by itself and see if i like it - at least for a top. :)
I absolutely adore everything about your videos. So many times when I watch these of people I can get bored due to my adhd and have to forward thru or speed it up. With yours, I find myself wishing it were slower and longer. I honestly could watch anything you wanted to talk about. Thanks for your lovely long episode 😊
It's kept me company this afternoon while I've been sitting outside my motel room here in Akaroa watching the sun sink behind the hills over the other side of the harbour. You inspired me to pick up my sweater wip instead of 1 of the 4 new cast ons! I might just get it finished....only needs a couple of cms before the hem on the body...then I can wear it b4 winter ends
Thanks so much Anne. I hope you manage to get it finished soon. It is so cold right now - we need all the warm sweaters. :)
Great podcast, always enjoy them and all your projects, new and old. Dear Tash,
thank you for your wonderful inspirations that you give to me with your podcasts. Your thought of probably knitting 3/4 sleeves at your Champaign Cardigan goes constantly through my mind and I think if you have enough of the mohair yarn, you could think about knitting some mohair-only-stripes at the underarms.
Kind regards from Germany

Thank you so much Ulrike. That is a great idea. If i end up running short of the DK but have enough of the mohair, i will definitely do that. I think i might be ok though. Fingers crossed! :)

In the first episodes of the @creabea podcast, she talks about her struggles with Magnolia Bloom - maybe you will find it helpful. Be well!
Thank you so much and also for the tip regarding Creabea and her magnolia bloom. I’ll check that out before I start my bobbles. :)
Your black dress is beautiful on you!
Thank you so much. :)
You just saved yourself from frogging by finding your daughter’s cami! Don’t you just love it when things figure themselves out? 👏
I do! It is funny how things work out. ;)
Well that was quite long Tash but well worth it. Thank you
Quick question - if the pattern doesn’t say how you can mix the yarns(I.e. holding 2 strands) is there a way to determine how do that. (asking for a friend 😂😂😂)
Looks like your wee jaunt away was very successful 🙋🏼🏴
❤
Have you ever tried the alternating cable cast on when you’re casting on for 1x1 ribbing? That’s my go to-I even use it for socks, so it’s quite stretchy and gives the look of a tubular CO with far less trouble.
Hi Talitha. Thanks for the tip. I have used it but sometimes i find it a bit too stretchy and was worried it might stretch out too much for the neckline. Trying to find a happy medium ground. Often depends on the yarn composition as well. :)
❤❤❤
You could always knit a single band on your cardigan not double?…just thinking of ways to save you some yarn 😊
That is true. I hope I don’t have to as I love the look of the double knit band and it is what drew me to the pattern. Fingers crossed. I’ll reassess at the end of the body.
I love if the audio get better.
I agree. It has now - I am using a different microphone. :)

Addi has 7 mm rocket interchangeables❤
Thank you for sharing that. I have an addi click set but can’t find my 7mm tips. :(
How about dropping down to that bobble, unknit it, spit splice the extra yarn needed to reknit the bobble (do a test to figure it out) and then once dry, reknit the bobble.
Thanks Tash. I'll give that a go. Much confess the ribbing looks much nearer this way
Tash, I’ve noticed that there have been static, cracks and pops in the audio.
Your videos are never too long.💕💕💕
Thank you so much Maria. xx
I think you could make the arms on the Champagne narrower... they look quite broad for your arms...
Thank you so much for the feedback. They are really large. If i was to make it again, i would do less raglan increases for sure. :)
Could you use a brown mohair with your caramel yarn to get a marled look?
I am thinking about it. I am going to try swatching it alone first to check on the knitted fabric as a swatch - it might look different enough - i would like to try knitting with the yarn by itself and see if i like it - at least for a top. :)
Watching your podcast but no comments. I am in hospital with Swine Flu and Pneunomia
I am so sorry to hear that Rosemary. I hope you make a full recovery really soon. I'll be praying for you. x
Could you do the sleeves but not bind off ,and then finish the body and band and shorten the sleeves if needed?
On the cardigan 😂😂
I think i have figured out the length where it should work for decent length sleeves - fingers crossed!
