Great advices Kristofer !!! I would like to add one more and it's the attitude. Some ladies (and guys also) dance looking at the ceiling like ignoring the partner... no connection at all.

One follower mistake I would say is the follower trying to take the lead.... Even when it's not intentional (out of excitement).

Yeah, backleading is also not good.

Sometimes, they don't feel that I'm trying to make a new move and hence I've to put in some extra efforts :)

I think teacher must to teach regulary the frame and tension, at the beginning the follower doesn't want always close position, and for lead the frame is very important to lead. Some girls thinks close position is ok and doesn't know her frame. I think if follower knows others dances (Bachata, Salsa, WCS, ..) she will be better for follow.

Yeah, I think it is super important. I am not sure a salsa or bachata frame is necessary, but it could help. And a tango frame also, for sure! =)
