      You can definitely use distilled white vinegar for cleaning! It’s an amaaaazing cleaner, in fact... Cleaning Vinegar is just slightly more acidic (therefore stronger), that’s all...
      Distilled white vinegar is a perfectly great cleaner tho. :)
      My favorite is 50/50 water and vinegar, with a few drops Blue Dawn Dish Soap... super powered all purpose cleaner!
      Also you can add essential oils, for nice scents. :)

      distilled vinegar is fine, its usually around $2 a gallon. Most of the time you cut it with water anyway for cleaning so just cut it with a little less water.

    I actually like white distilled vinegar as apposed to cleaning vinegar. I have pets and feel safer mopping/cleaning with something that is safe if swallowed, especially since I feel like the cleaning power is the same as well as distilled makes my clothes softer imo.

    Fill a regular spray bottle with white distilled vinegar if efflorescence lingers. Disperse the vinegar generously onto the bricks, thoroughly drenching the efflorescence. Let the efflorescence absorb the vinegar for five minutes. (If I bought cleaning vinegar instead of white distilled vinegar, would it work on cleaning the white efflorescence powder from my brick pathway?)

    If you want a stronger vinegar try canning vinegar at 9%. Just remember the smell is a bit more harsh. I window clean and also during my office cleanings like sinks and toilets I use 9%. I rarely use bowl cleaner. I do every other day cleanings and the spritz in the toilets is enough to tame the water rings. I also use an acid called phosphoric acid. A popular product is called Sanivac, purple in color. Awesome on calcium, mag, rust stains.

      I recently got a gallon of 5% distilled vinegar and 2 gallons of 9% distilled vinegar. It's made by Hill Country. 9% is almost twice as strong as the regular 5% vinegar, but I can always dilute it to 5% if I need to. All I need is water to dilute the 9% vinegar.

    QUESTION: I need to clean black mold from drywall. I read online that 5% White Vinegar can clean black mold directly from the bottle - even without being diluted. With the Great Value Cleaning Vinegar from Wal-Mart, it does not list the acid percentage. The directions of the Cleaning Vinegar say you should dilute the Cleaning Vinegar in the form of 1 Gallon of Water to 1 Cup of Cleaning Vinegar. This is a 16:1 ratio of Water to Cleaning Vinegar. Is this correct? Should this 16:1 ratio be used to clean the black mold on drywall?
    According to mathematics, Cleaning Vinegar is 6% Acid while White Vinegar is 5% Acid. This means the Cleaning Vinegar has 20% more Acid. However, if 5% Acid White Vinegar did not require any water, why would the 6% Acid Cleaning Vinegar require dilution of 16:1? According to mathematics, simply adding a 5:1 ratio of water to the Cleaning Vinegar would essentially reduce the Cleaning Vinegar to the same strength as White Vinegar, so why would there be a need to use 16:1 ratio in the directions?

    I'm looking to clean black mould from a wall and from websites I've seen they recommend distilled white vinegar and pour that into a spray bottle. So if it just says white vinegar or its a cleaning white vinegar that isn't so good as they say, as distilled is undiluted. So I want the stronger one that kills most mould on the wall and through it and they said that's distilled. Which type should I get to do this ? Also is it okay to use it in a plastic spray bottle ?

      Add a few drops of dish soap to it so it sticks to the plants. Works good

    Is it safe to mix distilled white vinegar and comet with bleach?

    • @CleanWithConfidence
      @CleanWithConfidence  3 роки тому

      I wouldnt recommend it. On top of that, its not necessary. What are you trying to clean? If it is some kind of organic soil just get a good cleaner/degreaser and if you are trying to remove an inorganic soil like limescale mineral buildup just use pure vinegar by itself.

      Vinegar doesn't work very well for that. Best way to do that is to use fine steel wool. Here is a video I did showing how to do it: ua-cam.com/video/ZspLxzCsr7I/v-deo.html

    I love cleaning with vinegar! Most people can't stand the smell but, hey, I grew up with people that used bleach all the time to clean. And ammonia? Nasty smelling vile chemical.
    I use to take a swig of distilled vinegar everyday. I'm in the mood for salt and vinegar chips now!

    does cleaning with vinegar leave a slight film ?

    • @CleanWithConfidence

      It will if you dont dilute it properly but that will happen with anything cleaning product. It’s not isolated to just vinegar.

    Acetic acid? Isn't that sayig the same thing twice? I think what you're calling industrial vinegar is also called agricultural vinegar. And that's what you can use on plants that you don't want, such as weeds.

      Acetic acid is a specific type of acid. Phosphoric acid is completely different from acetic acid.

    Can I mix the cleaning vinegar with borax

    • @CleanWithConfidence
      @CleanWithConfidence  4 роки тому

      I don't recommend it because Borax is a base with a pH around 9. Vinegar is an acid, pH around 2. When you mix them together they cancel each other out hindering their ability to clean.

    If 6% is for cøeaning and 20 times stronger... Why do my country's grocerystores sell allaround with 7%
    And then jumps up to, product name translated to english;
    Vinegar acid 32%
    Vinegar essence 35%.
    Are americans and europeans following different ways to calculate the acidity?
