    Bro, this Atreo website just changed my perspective on how web design is done. God dang. I love how incredibly short they kept the copy. Masterful, really. Thanks Ran!

    Bro this is the only video amongst ALL of those I’ve found under “service based business website” that is actually helpful. And some of them were even by my favorite youtubers. But this beats them ALL!

    Hi, your videos are really good. Can you make a video where you explain what books are good for webb design.
    In one of your videos you say that you read psychological books which helps your ux performance, so I'm wondering what books those are.
    Thanks

    If I want to pivot into a new niche, an industry from which I've never had clients do you think it's a good idea to use this strategy of positiong myself as a designer for that "x" industry? I think the downside is that I don't have any project in this industry to back me up for saying that.

    Impressed with the Atreo website - and you're UA-cam channel, Ran. Now, where do I go to find a big, mustard yellow building to match MY branding? Or, maybe I'll go with ketchup?

    what about brand new agencies that have new sites? we dont have testimonials but the tools and people we work with do. how do you approach that topic if a client asks about social proof early on? Once we have cashflow we'll invest in changing the site- or paying for a new one entirely. but early on our site is bootstrapped and just supposed to be good enough while getting started.

      You focus on your strengths - process, people, and/or services. Show your visitor your approach. If you have sample projects that works as well. Sites are all about storytelling. Tell a strong story about your process, people, or services then you will attract clients.

    Hey Ran I want to ask you how do you take payments from your clients.
    I made a website for my client and took payment from paypal and after 1 month he starts complaining about irrelevant things and chargeback me on paypal. And i ended up paying him money.

      When you get enough projects you're proud of. In the meantime, use Behance or Dribbble as a portfolio spot.

    Excellent video of course and I feel a little bit out of line contradicting you since you are much more successful in the field than I am but it is not always a great idea to lock yourself into a niche. Absolutely market to specific target industries and differentiate yourself from competitors but as you said if somebody who isn't in the tech industry comes to this site then they will instantly be turned off from this company. Imagine how many potential clients they are losing because of that... obviously if they only want to work with tech companies that is their business but I for one will stick to targeted landing pages while my home page is more inclusive.

    • @lech.dutkiewicz
      @lech.dutkiewicz Рік тому +4

      You can go the other way and try to imagine how many potential tech companies they would lose if they weren't talking directly to them.

      They may well be playing in a narrower market, but they are also saying "we're really good at this one specific thing"-which if done with authority and credibility-establishes a higher value exchange for clients willing to pay a premium price for this speciality. So in theory this mean less quantity, but much higher value and more profitable projects working on stuff they are really good at and actually enjoy doing.

    I think to much today is focused on what you are saying in the homepage but... people forget, many can talk the talk...but can they walk the walk? I see tooooooo many websites like that, all say the same.. I already know what they do...but SHOW ME WORK, show me how you solved problems.
