Thanks for watching the video $20k/m Finding Clients on LinkedIn
Lessons I took from this video:
Being a big fish in a small pond is the way to go (Niching down)
Solving a specific business is the key factor in getting the attention of a client
Outsourcing your weak point is the way to scaling up
Having a clear process to succes gives confidence to the client to move forward with you(It also gives a expert status)
Differentiate yourself from the crowd, through content marketing
Understand what your service does for the customer(Know the KPI's and find out how to reach them)
Not knowing what problems you solve with your service will result in a hard time selling yourself
If I had to choose from what I took from this video it would be: To niche down and get focused. Being a commodity will get you no where
Whats yours?
Amazing summary Eduware, thanks!!
Thank you Eduware, you’re just save a lot of my time. Thanks again :)
@@daleldalel maybe so... never the less the above points still ring true.

I would love to spend time listening to you instead man, hats off!
@@EduwareIzekor Yes, I can't disagree. I was just disappointed to find out Josh was a fraud.
Notes:
- Define your niche. Don't sound abstract.
- Share a specific/relevant work sample in your pitch & how you benefited them.
- Get them on the call first. Outsource the lead aquisation part
Bravo!! Great interview... very informative! Not only were you a great interviewer, Josh was kind enough to give us insightful details while answering your questions. Well done you two!👏🏽
What made this video not boring but interesting is Ran not questioning only about the topic, but also other deep and cool questions, we had in our minds
Amazing video. Thank you so much Ran. Love you so much. I am desperately, eagerly, madly, badly waiting for the next. And I have a looooot of questions too.
This is absolutely amazing information!!! I am so grateful I ran into this video!!! Thank you guys for sharing!! Much success to Joshua and The Flux!!
lol, the clarity of your shot is freakin amazing!!!
Great interviewer and with such a bright student. Cheers. I love this channel
Wow! One of the sharpest individuals, a young one at that, I have ever watched on the topic of prospecting.
What a bright young man and he is very talented, like you are Ran, at communicating ideas extremely clearly!
Good interview. Josh has a good head on his shoulder. For an 18 year old, he might not have a ton of experience, but he has what it takes to be super successful in the next couple of years. I just enjoyed listening to him tackle the questions, but all I need myself is a LinkedIn coach for business to start with. :)
Subbed bc of this interview, great questions and excited to see more of your stuff 👍
Did anyone ever say how good of an interviewer you are ran, man you digging up gold stuff out of this guy :)
True. I was like "uuuh, that's a good question".
@@AlejandroZorita totally- Ran was truly wakling the Edge between beeing a good listener - and digging deeper at the right Spots.
I can totally relate. I made a video similar to this if you want to see.
I'm honestly so shocked that these videos don't get more views. There is so much value in this content. It's a freaking GOLD MINE!
Absolutely agree.
I was impressed by this video. I thought a young man with no business experience had found a way for agency owners like myself to make $20k per month. So I contacted Josh through linked in. I asked could he point me in the direction of a Linked In specialist he talked about. He replied saying the Linked In specialist worked for his agency and would I like to make an appointment to talk? So it’s a dog and pony show IMO. Ran you have a good channel, please research your guests further before having them on.
Same thing happened with me as well. I was very disappointed. Also I checked his flowww website, and is...well...let’S say is not the best
100% this guy is not legit. just lying on the internet with absolutely no tangible proof of success.
Actually, I checked his new website and it seems way better than the last one. Not the greatest I have seen but...decent. Still sketchy as fuck when he claims that his coach works for his company. I mean what kind of mentor you are if you work for your student. I think he is an actual designer and he really does what he claims in the video. Just that maybe he is not doing as good as he wants us to believe... Anyway, the way he speaks shows that he has some selling skills. It seems that he can make a decent website as well. And he is having an idea about a strategy to acquire leads. Again I think he is what he said. Not as good or as transparent, however.
I'm an automation specialist, and he's speaking bullcrap dude.
@@HACHmusic Why do you think this is not legit? What would you do differently?
So awesome he was hitting up networking events at 15. You can def tell rt away he’s seasoned and confident. Would luv to see his actual site design portfolio.
Thank you both so much for the excellent information. I love Josh's approach to his industry and it certainly inspires me to think a little differently about my own.
Ron you should be a detective than a designer, you are amazing how you ask probing questions , great interview. bit dubious -why isnt his company even mentioned anywhere?
Very impressive young man. Why would anyone give this a thumbs down?
Wow! Ran, this is a goldmine, great job on asking the right questions.
I've been following you since I saw your interview with The Futur
Love the content!
I can totally relate. I made a video similar to this if you want to see.
Thank you Josh for your transparency. Im super interested in the 10k web course now 👀
So interesting! Thanks for bringing this awesome content
Super valuable information here man .. really appreciate doing this for the designer community ..
Totally agree...even a few years later.
I always learn something new from your videos, they're so informative!
Really cool video Ran, nice one! Great to hear Josh's take on it all!
Great interview. Loved to listen it.
Super happy that I found you also on UA-cam! Already following your great content on IG!
happy to see you here as well Domenico!
Good stuff position yourself , manual messaging first , track and then automate. Nicely done . LinkedIn is heavily sleeped on people still think it’s for only recruiters
Honestly, felt like a sales pitch.
Really really helpful, thank you both!
Great interview asked the right questions! 18 years old as well 🙌
Smart interviewing as well. Great questions
Awesome chat! Great tips, thanks!
4:34 what company did you use to outsource the outbounding messages? andcan you give an example of the message?. Thank you!
Amazing clear Strategy and confidence.
Josh is so smart! Thanks for sharing this information. It's good motivation.
His ideas are so well thought out! It's so rare to find someone like him... Especially at his young age!
Very helpful video! It has really motivated us to re-evaluate our marketing strategy.
Now he's pivoted to his own lead gen agency.
Who, flux?
very helpful content, thanks for sharing with us.
EXCELLENT job prodding the guest to provide valuable detail. All too often, the speakers in a UA-cam video are incredibly vague, as opposed to being descriptive without unnecessary rambling. They oftentimes carelessly "gloss over" any important detail or background information that the audience would need to fully understand what is being said.
Thanks in a million. Josh.
I used to be a linkedin coach and work for the biggest linkedin lead gen companies in the states selling business owners the exact same thing he was using. Automation can help when done correctly, but users are tired of bots so a genuine human connection goes a looong way
Great content. Usefull. Thank you ;D
So, this guy is a web designer who doesn't design website, doesn't reach out to clients, doesn't code... what exactly does he do?
Hhh..is 😂😂truth
brag?
This boy is on top!
As someone who works in/with SASS companies... I hate receiving this communication. They keep messaging me like I am ignoring them. It leaves such a bad taste in my mouth.
It provides zero relationship with me. Sorry... I get this is about scale. But I have been calling out folks who message me with zero relationship.
I hate sounding like a grump. Playing devils advocate.
Everyone's different and have their own forte. What do you dislike about their approach?
I somewhat agree. I don't mind all random messaging. To me its all about approach and if they have something I need or could use. Rarely am I annoyed by someone offering something I could find of use. And at the end of the day, we never know, that person messaging us could be a future contact, collaborator, or partner in our business.
Interestingly I tried to look him up as well and couldn't find anything. Hmmm
Top class video packed with invaluable information.. 2020 off to a great start.. Ha ha!!
I think Chris Do might want to have Joshua on his show as well.. 😆
u still think it was a great strat???
I am so happy for Josh's success, please congratulate him on my behalf , he is very inspiring . Thanks to you both.
Will do!
Hi Ran, Cool videos as usual! your videos are awesomely informative. I have a question not related to the topic of this video..but the vidoe itself.. I am looking at picking up these kind of black acoustic backgrounds which you have. Could you tell where you picked them up? I remember you had mentioned a while ago that 'futur' sent you the refernce link from where you bought it.. for some reason I dont seem to find it. I would really appreciate if you could send me a link where I could purchase it.. Thank s a ton!!
Hey ran. Thanks man
I'm a principal designer at LinkedIn, his story is very similar to mine... Though I discovered the company 10 years ago and decided to take a role.
Whats a principal Designer exactely? Would appreciate an explanation - sorry, regards from Austria :D
nice work josh
Mind.Blown.
He's only 18!!
Amazing work :)
I use an agency like that as well for LinkedIn prospect outbound automation. I get like 50-100 conversations with ideal prospects.
can you share your contact if you don't mind?
This guy is a champ
I would love to know who is the LinkedIn consultant, and the name of the company that helps automate the messages!
Why trust a guy with no portfolio, case studies, social proof, etc?
Because he has a cool formula and glasses?
He's a fraud. There are so many 18-20 year olds like him. Look in the comments. He copied his website from someone. His case studies are for other 18 year old "CEOs". What makes you think he has the integrity to tell the truth in this video? 100% he lives with his parents and has a mentor grooming him in business. Good for him for starting in business young, but he's a fraud and definitely not making anywhere near 10k/month. I would be surprised if he's making $500/month. The kid just finished high school. Yet he's pretending to be Steve Jobs and acts like he has two decades of experience as a marketer and thinks business owners won't see through it? He literally just finished high school. Would you trust him with your ad spend?
@@AlexB-xp4jy hes very business savvy for an 18 year old this you can't deny. the fact he already has strategies speaks volumes. I don't know many 18 year olds this ambitious. most of them just worrying about college, social media, friends. he may not have a lot to offer right now, but you already know he'll be doing big things by the time he's 25.
@@AlexB-xp4jy why don’t you back off buddy, what are you doing with your life to spend that much time hacking on a kid who’s doing better than you?
It's kind of suspicious that I can't find anything about Joshua's work on google.. I tried searching for the companies that he says he founded (on his youtube channel information) and I found nothing. I'm not saying that he's lying but someone could learn to talk like that and say they are marketing gurus or whatever so it would be great if he'd have more presence on the web or some hard proof that what he is saying is true and not just a smoke selling speech.
I made a video similar to this if you want to see.
@@sumit2506 Wow first off your site looks incredible. But secondly lmao this guy's site is so bad! His ripoff didn't succeed in the least. Damn
Is it because he is an 18 year old and 3 years ago he was jumping rope with girls at his front yard.?
Ran, how do you get clients, if not by Linkedin or freelance platforms?
Still shock about a 18 years old could get B to B project budget on 1000 USD dollars when everybody always take Wix to comparison just through Linkin? So impressive and kind of confuse to be honest.
Wow! And I thought I knew what I was talking about xD
Witch camera you use my friend for live?
Would love a post-Coronavirus update.

Thanks for having me on the show ran! To anyone wanting to learn more I just started a channel talking about my start in entrepreneurship at a young age.😇
Great :)
Thanks for the conversation Josh! I've added the link to your channel & linkedin in the video description.
It was an absolute pleasure hearing from you Joshua and much thanks to Ran for having you on here.
Ran, I think you need to create another video as a part 2 or something with Joshua.. 😆
Josh, just wondering, where did you get the LinkedIn coach from?
Thanks, dude. You rock!
@JoshuaBonnell could you share links to your works/website/portfolio whatever please? ;)
Please give a link to the guest. Thanks for video!
My bad Julia, you're right, links added to the description. Thanks!
Just one question: How does he make sure he is not regarded as Spam? Is the sales Navigator different from sponsored Inbox Messages? I get tons of generic Messages from 16yo "coaches" who wnat to tell me how to generate leads and close "big Deals" I wonder how he builds enough Credibility and Trust towards his prospects so that the are willing to send 10k + to an 18 yo Guy they have never met, and then engage in a remote brand building process. Am i not optinistic enough? It#s really incredible how much self esteem and just-do-it mentality these digital natives bring to the Table!!
Many newbies who are exited to launch on the 2.0 and could do it themselves are pretty happy to pay the startup fees.
Just closed a 5k landing page + ecom yesterday from a Facebook client, he didn't care which platform, he was even open to all my suggestions and all he cared about is a beautiful Ui and didn't even asked for my portfolio.
He followed a 20yo guy referral to me and the trust wad built by the content that guy was always providing for free.
@@oussamdz2761 what do you mean by 2.0? And how come that newbies have that kind of Budget? Arent they capable of utilizing a decent website builder to get a basic Website online? These are doubtful Questions i ask myself..not because i am sceptical but cause my i am right now building up a business model/niche offer that is aimed to people who just want to get online fast with a descent Website they can update themselfes. Actually it's a service that uses a website builder like squarespace and sells it as a done-for-you Solution. However my clients are mostly 40 plus small business owners who dont want to do it themselves. How did you generate that Client? which plattforms are u using? Thanks for your Answer! & Regards from Austria!
@@vikkal2008 Hi Victor, i asked those questions myself, let me ask u, ¿how much are u charging for a basic website?, i think it will always rely on the value you show to the owners, we are all humans based on some common bias, so if are able to sistematically show that the X amount they spend is a lot less than the Y value they will get, the price become easier to raise (obviusly if u deliver the promissed to the client)
2.0 is the web, high value clients want a custom design from scratch, that involves a custom and functional Ui, it is nearly impossible for them to create using any website building tool themselves because it takes so much time to understand how the web works + having very advanced design skills.
The client I talked about has bought a hosting, a domain name, a do it yourself builder yet was stuck.
Secondly, he spent years focusing on his products and has a money making strategy, and finally, this is the type of clients you are targeting not some broke people wanting a random website.
And that's why ui/ux work pays well, because it is custom and hard to do.
As a UI XD designer , should we learn HTML and coding ?
Or is skills in AI AND XD enough?
The least you can do is to learn HTML and CSS, and they are not that much hard at all, you can master their basics in one or two weeks of intense learning and practice.
Thanks a bunch! 👌👨💻🤓😅💻🔥🤝
Automation=Bot and spam messagning.
There are legit ways to do this, like using ads and creating content that helps, just like this channel.
Typically these lead agencies are effective if done correctly. I worked for Kennected which is a SaaS automated lead gen company for linkedin specifically.
All of this is possible without automation and hiring an agency it just does take more time
Also important to say - this was 2 years ago but automation is massively saturated at this point so I would say unless you are extremely targeted and working very closely with a coach, I wouldn’t use automation.
People will be turned off more often than not as automation is around every corner and hard to tell who’s real or not
Where do you find a LinkedIn coach??
Is it weird that someone talking about selling website / web based automation to high value clients didn't have any website link in the Interview here and none in LinkedIn as well. Something is not adding up. !! 20:15 is the process in a nutshell !!
Flux,
Great content.
Did you apply this knowledge & strategy to your business and find success??
This is one smart 18 year old. Good for you man!

100% right to be suspicious. check my comment below to find his work. LOL! ;D
@@michaelpalin995 I don't see your comment below...
There's no work anywhere. His website is 404. Quite suspicios
Absolutely no social proof in this. It looks like a total scam. No links, now portfolio, no mention of "my linkedIn guy". I this were real, and I was his LinkedIn guy with no specific reference, I'd be incredibly disappointed that I missed out on this opportunity. All this points to this being fake results.
I would like to know if you can share the LinkedIn coach he is using...
I'm impressed by what he says, but it also sounds a little bit fishy. Any client he has done could be a case study, so why hasn't he used those? I looked at his YT channel and he is not making good use of video as a selling tool.
i have started a startup in App and Web development.
Good that you blurred out the word SHIT on the background wall...... DO EPIC >>>>
This young man is interesting.
This kid sounds like a comedian trying to impersonate zuccerberg
Is is there link to his work?
Elephant in the room how much does the LinkedIn coach cost? Last one I talked to was like 7000K for their starter package so not cheap. I see about 3 or 4 of these guys on my social media feeds per day. You have to be very careful which "guru" you get they could be good or could be frauds.
700k????? What the fuck lol. Thats the wildest ive ever seen. I used to be a linkedin coach and worked for the biggest linkedin lead gen company in the states.
Take it from me and sorry im 11 months late but save yourself the money and learn to how genuinely connect with people on linkedin. That will lead to 100x more longevity and health in your business than automated spam messaging
20:06 when you realize the kid is far to gone 😂 #geniuskid
What do you mean by that ?
do you think Rane Tchenically selling his course?
His LinkedIn sequence is called spam. That’s why i and most people never reply to these kind of messages
What's his name?
Who can tell me is it still worth getting into this business models? Or is too saturated to even spend time on it
This guy doesn't even have his own website?
Check his youtube profile links. He has one to his course site.
You don't exactly need a website either.
Congrats to him, seems like he found something that works for him. However, pitching this as an idea that will work at scale for many people after he’s only been doing it for a month and a half seems wrong.
He should come back in 12 months and show us how he’s doing and not simply refer to “i have a guy” and using buzzwords each time an important point is raised
A simple marketing website for a profitable small business, $400 is definitely undercharged. 4k~8k is reasonable, over 10k you'll likely need a sizable team. Regardless, there's something to learn from this young man, thanks for sharing!
I've done $10k-$30k websites without a sizeable time as a freelancer
@@FluxAcademy, haha, the MAN!
I am a bit confused. His website, Flowww (weareflowww.com) is the exact same site as one of his case studies, Dinergy (www.dinergy.com.au). Did he sell them a copy of his website?
Very confusing.
LOL it's 404'ed. Funny how many people here are just sucking the d*** of any marketing guy who says hype stuff in a youtube video. I didn't even bother watching it the whole thing was sus, and I saw the comments and yup confirmed.
Not sure how he's charging like that but I use to sell to saas and they were broke.
Link to his stuff?
Wow thanks for making me feel like a complete loser x'D
Srsly though, very smart stuff. We should all adopt some attitude characteristics from this.
I wonder what his overhead is if he is outsourcing the design and build of the websites
Was thinking same thing. Sounds like he architects the wireframe based on strategy and his mmr method then passes it in trust to the designer to juice it up with the brand and designs. Id honestly guess a flat % per project, maybe 10% ?
My route would be long game i think and to hire a fresh design intern out of college or finishing college to design the site and teach them webflow to build it. Take 4-6 weeks to train them on everything, give them a flat %, tons of experience, and fire quickly if things dont work out
