I'm thrilled for A's fans and the city of Oakland. Any Blue Jays fan like myself that went to a game at the old CNE Stadium feels your pain. Howard's Terminal looks absolutely beautiful, surely to be the crown jewel of MLB Stadiums. You folks in Oakland deserve it.
Brodie I agree with you on the getting emotional part. My great grandfather went to the first ever A’s game in ‘68 and didnt miss a game till moving back to New Mexico in 2001. We watched A’s games together all the time until he passed in ‘09 and I wish I could go watch a game with him at this new ballpark 🥺
I’m old enough to have memories as a kid of when Kauffman Stadium in KC opened 50 years ago. It was very different from the multi-use Candlestick Park/Oakland Coliseum-style parks in vogue at the time, a very daring and forward-thinking move. It remains one of baseball’s best venues. I think this plan has the potential to be this era’s Kauffman Stadium. Bravo!
I got to ask you something why is it $12 billion and what about the homeless people and why do you need the apartments? Why don’t you turn the apartments into hotels or just get rid of them because we need affordable apartments right now but love the design But do something to make it less expensive
I’m a Giants fan, SF Mission native. But I support the A’s as well. Great for the East Bay. Will be definitely going to Giants-A’s games here. Or just any other day checking out the rooftop park and surround amenities. #BayArea 👌🏽
I like the theme of the coliseum and the ground level floor being circular. Think that will look really cool. Really hoping to see these plans come to fruition!
Not only is this round design different from what's been popular for ballparks over the last 25+ years but it's the Anti-Oracle Park. From a design perspective, the only things these 2 parks will have in common is that there's a field for playing games and they face water. So far, I love what I see. I can't wait to see what inside will look like, especially that "dip" in the right center area.
If the east bay politicians blow this one. This will have serious negative ramifications for the city of Oakland and also to a certain extent Alameda County for decades.
I hope I’m totally wrong, but this feels like one of those “too good to be true” and “what Oakland would have been like if the As didn’t move to Vegas” situation. Btw, I’m not even from Oakland (LA) but totally hoping it happens. Would be a fun weekend to head to Oakland and catch a game in that masterpiece of a stadium.
There is no need for parking, except (1) for those with mobility challenges who cannot get there via any other method; (2) media vehicles with lots of equipment; (3) emergency vehicles. As for the (other) fans, they will walk, jog, water-taxi, BART/gondola, bus, rail (Amtrak), and any other "green" method. The whole concept of this project is to stress a green environment (unrelated to A's livery, mind you), and that includes methods of transportation. Those who are so desperate to bring their cars and spend $200-300 in downtown garages, can "knock themselves out".
I love the Howard Terminal layout. I know they have done traffic ⛔🚦 board studies, but living there seems like a hassle for everyday life. I can't imagine everytime a game or event is played 20000 vehicles in the vicinity won't be a headache.
Oakland is a city in crisis. Feral humans preying upon visitors and locals. The filth and degradation is shameful. M.L.B. should force the A’s to move. Nashville would be a good choice.
Nashville too (listen up Rays) - The Braves have the entire Old South to themselves (Florida not really the South). Whatever, this will have to done by moving. Baseball not in an economic state right now that justifies expansion.
Nice renderings but that's pretty much all that they are. Too bad that there ain't any money involved. No money, no stadium, no team. Oakland will lose the A's eventually.
I agree. Getting tired of "old style" ballparks myself. And I know I'm in a small minority, but I LOVE Marlins Park for the same reason ... for so boldly bucking that trend.
I hope you reply to this with how late I am. but I have 2 main questions. 1) I don't remember hearing or seeing anything about parking for games. How would that be taken care of? 2) What are your thought on people that are saying these renderings and this whole project are basically bologna?
I love dogs. Please, God, please don't let the thousands of irresponsible dog owners turn this into a defacto dog park. Every horizontal green surface into a fecal residue mine field. It's bad enough my Oakland neighbors homed and unhomed outsiders and of all walks of life trash the public parks. Even sidewalks in most areas are defacto dog runs. My pet peeves...no pun
It’s because the city refuses to provide a sufficient amount of official dog parks. Not everyone has a house with a back yard. I would love to see an official gated dog park in this area.
@@indierock79 not only dog parks, but more numerous designated dog runs or maybe simply paint one corner of each block or every few blocks where dog owners can try to get their dogs to go. As it is, it's any and every 4 sides of each block bc there is no concerted effort. Dog owners aren't going to go to a dog park multiple times a day unless it's less than a few blocks away. They need something on their block...I digress back to the A's.
I think they should be a sign of the Howard terminal in the bullpen right by your mother Jim Hunter Hall of Fame place with the Oakland A's John blue Odom Riley fingers Rickey Henderson. Dead ball jammy. Foxx Lefty Grove Chief Bender Hall same plaque should be in find the relief picture mound for Emily could go up to it and touch it before the game or after the game that'd be nice I think
you should react to Urinating Tree's "No A's: Oakland's Crossroads" video. I'd be interested to hear your takes on it considering you sound more optimistic than most about this whole situation
Brodie you need to be applauded. Thanks so much for all that you have been posting about this project. You're the best!
About time.
Thx for posting important stuff on YT

How painful to revisit in July 2023
That looks like a heck of a design. Its too back it didn't get done.
Do A’s fans get a new owner as well?

Keeping the dream Alive Brodie !!
There better be more Jed Lowrie jerseys being worn when the park opens too!

The Giants will act like this is a crime against humanity if it comes to fruition.
They are currently working to detail this as we breathe. The Giants organization is corrupt & devoid of decency
@@josephthebobcat5085 Not surprised, what are they doing?
This stadium and surrounding area look amazing, definitely would be a Better surrounding area than The Giants area
Are we there yet???
Will there still be the "Bill King Broadcast Booth"?
Wish the A's come back
Do another of inside the park, and one of the Tampa Bay rays.
Thought: using the park space as tailgating area! Look at Ole Miss as one of the most famous tailgating atmospheres in the world.
Looks like some of buildings in Star Trek, when they show the future Bay Area. Great show. Thank you.

It would be awesome to have two first class baseball stadiums in Bay Area that have their own unique design!
I'm very excited about this, I hope it happens
Probably less than 33% chance of happening considering the players involved.
I love this!💯
I want to see more of Kelly Green with bright gold. That should be their colors. I like the elephant 🐘 with graphics painted on it

Let’s Go Oakland
Long overdue for a new stadium

Watching this video in 2024 is depressing
Great video Brodie let's get it done.
We all know one thing for sure, if its in October it definitely wont be a game night.
If you live in the South Bay you can catch the cal trans train then ferry to Jack London San Francisco residents as well big game changer .
If the east bay politicians blow this one. This will have serious negative ramifications for the city of Oakland and also to a certain extent Alameda County for decades.
I hope they stay in Oakland
Very exciting
The clean design is very calming for my chaotic mind
Cue users updating Howard Terminal in MLB The Show

I like it all
Absolutely need that viewing deck lounge/restaurant on top of the cranes with a 180 view that can be accessible year round! That would be spectacular!

And what would that be?
@@indierock79 Um....ok. I guess I'll be the first to break it to you...they are going to Las Vegas. Sorry to be the one to tell you.
im not even from oakland but i like seeing new stadiums cant wait to see if it happans also las vegas should be n the mlb

Oakland a.s get new stadium
Also as much as I did the vision, I notice how much these two surrounding buildings would keep areas in the shade. Not sure how I feel about it
Brodie don't get excited not gonna happen.viva lasvegas
Hey Brodie so far this sounds great and hope this falls is place and if the city and council members agree when will they be to break ground
