My drummer made a whole outfit out of Crown Royal bags! A girl bought it from him at one of our gigs. He changed into something else and gave it to her! LOL!
@@mikedrennan5827 It started as a blank panel and I bought each insert and bought cables and soldered them in. Some of them are pass through, you can find more about it on my instagram!
@@SonicFlowAudio Thanks! sick setup, I 'm actually ripping it off a little for my 12U Gator :) a few questions: - Does our drawer have cutouts in the back to route cables? - Newbie q, the splitter in the back with all the labels, since you're using AES50, can you repurpose the outputs from the mixer for something else? - What's your take on the Radial vs a Furman?
@@temores4 no cut outs for the drawer. The panel on the back is just plugged directly into the outputs of the mixer. No preference I just liked the utility outlets on the front when making the rig.
@@rufuscrowder1309 great question. So I am using them but they are tied to Bus 1-8 one to 1. I have a Y stereo to dual mono cable coming out of 1/2 and 3/4 so that gives me the choice of 4 IEMS or 4 wedges. Then outputs 5-8 is normal XLR. When using the IEMS it’s all hooked up and if I wanna use a wedge on that bus; I just use the XLR out and send it to the IEM. who cares? Maybe they wanna double up? I havnt found any limits, though I do have the SD16 so that gives me 8 more XLR outs when I want to use all 4 IEMS and all 5 of my wedges plus drive MainLR and sub out. Hope that helps!!
Do you get a slight buzzing noise in the top right corner of the front panel? The buzzing noise is connected to the LEDs, so the pitch changes depending on the LED intensity.
@@frankieamado sure. I’m out of office right now I’ll see if I can get a good starting point. I do not turn any effects on. This will just be labels and filters to save time during sound check. There won’t be a “mix”. Probably won’t even be routing since there’s so many ways you can do it!
@@frankieamado2449 I’ve been asked this and I guess my question is Why do you think you need a show file? It’s super easy to make one for yourself and I’ve made a few for different situations depending on if I have snakes/bands vs orchestras vs choirs.
@SonicFlowAudio there are no Ethercon barrels on your AES50 ports and the ethercon barrel is where it grounds properly. It's a good way to get ESD and destroy your AES50 ports. Ethercon barrels with ground Continuity between both ends is spec. @@SonicFlowAudio
@ I have ground and I’m not sending more than 30 feet. No jacket required. I’m not spending $300 on a 100’ cable. Ground is through the shield. Al my stuff is shielded and grounded. Where do you think the ground goes into the cable? These are perfectly fine my friend. Been using them for 10 years no problems.
The old Crown Royal bag on the snake end.
Everyone has done this at least once in their career.
classic! I have two of them in there! haha I do not even drink anymore

Can you say more about that sweet custom breakout panel at the top rear of the rack…where did you get something like that?

Do you use those four (4) headphone outs on the Wing for in-ear mixes? Can they be used like regular bus outs where you route anything to them?
