  • Jay-Jay Okocha opened the scoring for PSG but they went down 2-1 after Lyon converted 2 outstanding set-piece deliveries from Juninho Pernambucano. Ronaldinho came in as a substitute and converted a late penalty earned by Bartholomew Ogbeche to even the scores. Jay-Jay Okocha's match ended in an anti-climax as he received his matching orders for a dangerous tackle in the closing stages.
Final Score: PSG 2 - 2 Olympique Lyonnais.
Jay-Jay Okocha joined French side Paris Saint-Germain in 1998 for £14 million making him the most expensive African player at the time. During his four-year stint with PSG, he played 84 matches and scored 12 goals. He was also mentor to Ronaldinho during his time in Paris.

I'm watching this and marveling at just how incredibly good Okocha was. WOW, what a talent!😮 No one in the 2024 AFCON teams is remotely close to his level. What a delight..

It was worth a red card. I just didn't add the other angle. It was really bad.

@@kayvaldo I disagree. I have watched that several times, Jay-Jay seems disappointed and did not object fiercely but that tackle only comes with his leg, not foot. The unfortunate thing is because the player that kicked the ball hurls his foot after kicking the ball, the slow motion makes it much more dramatic.
