Also, you’re doing a great job! In crochet, nothing really matters in how you do it so long as you get the desired effect. It’s sooo versatile in how you can move your hands, hold the yarn, create tension, etc etc. I recommend continuing to watch UA-cam videos for beginners, following crocheters on social media, and trying to meet up with other crocheters in person so they can physically see what you’re doing and help correct you. Oooooor video chat with someone if you can’t meet up in person.
I'm big into fiber arts (spinning fiber into yarn as I type this...well I guess not literally but I will be when I'm done this comment lol). I had the rare opportunity to use a CNC and an embroidery machine in the same day. Seriously, they are the same but one works on wood the other on fabric. Please everyone recognize that just because work is typically done by non cis-het men it is not difficult or like STEM as you say!! You're the first person I've ever heard say something like this and I so so so appreciate you! Also, crochet is the one thing I like can't really do in fiber arts. It's HARD-it's amazing you did that on your first try-I def. could NOT :)
I set a one hour alarm and clean as much as possible in that hour that way I don't drag it out and I often get everything done within that hour, then the alarm goes off, I shower, and I let myself relax(:
a court of frost and starlight is a novella she published as a transition to the second phase of the books. it’s kinda like a christmas special for those that had to wait years before a court of silver flame came out. just wanted you to know because i noticed that that people who didn’t know that and read them back to back tend to not like that one as much, and people who knew that tend to like it more 🧡
Anyone wanting to learn to crochet should try starting with a Wooble!! They're insanely cute and their instruction videos are SO GOOD - I had never done it before and was super dubious about it, but after watching through a few times, I got it! And they have each step as one individual short video. And you end up with an adorable tiny animal stuffy friend.
Also, the kit includes a little starter (already started), so the first thing you learn doesn't have to be basically one of the harder things to learn.
Hi Cozy K good morning 🌞 I woke up at 8:00am this morning I was so exhausted 😴 yesterday from all of the cleaning 🧼 i did I went to bed and passed the heck out
9:20 yesss I feel you. I try to space out my breaks so I dont feel that im doing all productive work for most of my day then taking time for me only when it's before I sleep.
hii!! love your vlogs!! when you crochet you wanna pay attention to how you hold your thread and the crochet needle, you wanna move the needle and not your left hand with the thread!
Not me just coming from a jnaydaily video! I’m a new watcher and loving all the cozy content. I’ve also gotten into knitting and crocheting and loving having more peaceful hobbies.
I really love this .. please please do more vlogs. I am hooked on your gaming videos but it's lovely to see you in the real world too and your life outside of the screen. Because of watching your videos I have started to play more cozy games and even last night played Stardew Valley .. finding the fishing hard !! ...😩 Thank you for helping me to relax and wind down with your wonderful videos at a time in my life where I feel quite anxious .
I've spent he last week or two going through the archive of videos you've posted and I LOVE your content. Thanks so much for posting such wholesome cozy things to enjoy. It's really helped make a few difficult weeks feel much more relaxing and calm. Also, you might get asked this all the time (and I checked your storefront)--where's your top from at the beginning of this video? It's so cute!
Hi Cozy K I am excited to have a chill day at home 🏡 and just relax my sister is going to work pretty soon so I will have the whole house to myself 😊 😉
Been lovinggggg your channel since I found you! As a burnt out autistic they've been my happy place ahaha. Just a little side note laser pointers can cause anxiety and stress in kitties because there's no actual physical reward, so their brains just get stressed out. My little girl poppy used to be the same with a laser pointer would freak out if you walked past the drawer it was in lol, then she started to lose the hair on her ears and our vet said it was due to stress and anxiety likely cause by the pointer especially because she was obsessed with it. She's doing much better now, she's just an anxious baby
This brought me so much joy. I’m so glad I found your channel. As someone who loves all things cozy, Stardew, ACOTAR, and crochet, my heart is so full and my brain is screaming ✨can we be friends!!!!✨🤣 Keep going with crochet!! Videos are definitely so helpful. I like to use stitch markers on the first stitch of a row so I don’t accidentally drop a stitch or miscount. It helped so much when I was starting out.
Literally learned to crochet yesterday! I think what you’re struggling with is the tension of the yarn. Try wrapping it around your pinky and index finger. As an english style knitter I struggled as well but it get’s better!!
That response to trying to crochet is a mood though. Currently working on a pair of arm warmers while watching this, and I do the same thing while trying to chain.
I've been watching all your blogs these days! Especially on my way to work and in the mornings because its relaxing seeing your cozy room, hobbies, etc. And just the simple things of your everyday routines. Its helpful and calms my anxiety, so thank you! 😭🫶🏼
I absolutely love this! I just started knitting again after years, and it makes me feel so good! These videos are inspiring. A cozy self care day is just what I need.
Currently watching this while crocheting a blanket, I've only been doing it for 4 months but already feel really good about it. I know that learning curve is tuff, just keep pushing haha
I had a coloring night last night and actually sat down and created and relaxed bc of your last hobby video. Love all your content! I watch Annika too, her recipes always inspire me to try new things! 💝🥰💝
I love your cozy hobby videos. I would love to see you make seasonal specific hobby recommendations. Like cozy summer vibes is so different from cozy autumn for me haha
Cute outfit! please do some cosy and light / happy book reccomendations for 2023 if you haven't yet :D Haven't read any cassandra clare, but I may try checking out some of her books.
These hobby vlogs put me in the coziest mood! They’re like a warm hug 💛 I bought some coloring books a couple of days ago because of you, and can’t wait to color and listen to my audiobooks!💗
Just discovered this channel and I already know it's going to be one of my favorites, if not the favorite of them all. Thank you for making me smile today
I also just got a crochet kit and I have been avoiding attempting it but I think I gotta just bite the bullet and do it!! also you've inspired me to get back into coloring, I have so many unused coloring books from when I had a bit of a coloring kick in college. but its such a chill hobby and I can listen to podcasts or watch youtube videos at the same time. Thank you for all of the inspiration!!
I've recently re-discovered popsockets. They are amazing!! When they came out, I didn't quite have a smart device to use it with and then it went out of style (at least in my area). I am so happy using them now and they are super cute!! I love that you can swap them without having to unstick the thing. 🔥
TLYarncrafts and Sewrella both have great crochet tutorials ( and patterns)! As a knitter and crocheter I loved your comment about these abilities being in STEM. 😍
Hi Cozy K I finally finished my swift’s book 📚 now I am starting to read legends and lattes and it’s pretty good so far I am excited to read more of it I am already on chapter 2 ❤😊 it’s such a cozy book 📚 thanks 🙏 for recommending this book to me Ken 😊
Everyone of your videos I can always get one new thing or idea that I love and it’s always makes me smile cause lately I’ve been loooking into more new things to try and this channel has helped me in so many ways you can imagine.
I've been getting back into drawing and (my main hobby that I hope to make my career) writing! Coloring books are something else I've been wanting to get into, but I feel more interested in drawing and coloring in my own characters.
Cute kitties Chila and Azula (let me know if spelling is wrong)!!!!! 😍 Thank you so much Kennedy! Love your vlog videos; they are so cozy!!!! I need to get out my knitting needles again and continue knitting my current project while watching UA-cam videos.
I got my first embroidery kit from Tales from the Hoop on Etsy as a gift for Christmas. Her stuff is sooooo lovely. I feel like you'd enjoy her designs and the instructions were easy to follow. I will be picking up crochet soon too.
To make crocheting easier, try holding the yarn in the other hand. So you're using the hook in one hand and in the other you're holding the yarn strand and controlling it! This makes it easier to work the stitches in and have a good control over the yarn. I hope this helps lol ❤
omg what a joyous video!! its so nice to watch something so cosy! I loved how you bundled Azula up to lift her off your bed hahaha she was like oh ok this is happening- O_O your house is amazingly cute i'm incredibly jelly :O you should be so proud of how you've decorated
This was a fun video to watch while crocheting! I didn’t realize it was such an old video until I saw you put on a vest and scarf and I was confused because it’s summer 😅 anyway, I think Toni @tlyarncrafts is the queen of crochet teachers!
Also thank you for showing us your most watched UA-cam channels as of late! I feel like we follow the same kind of vibe and I love Jnaydaily and Brittany Browski ❤
your last vlog got me to start crocheting again for like the 5th time and this time i finally finished my first project! i made a cat ear beanie(suuuper easy) and now im working on a bear ear cover for my monitor that i saw someone make in a crochet vlog! also didnt know you were in the bay area! I lived in marin for about 6 years and i miss it so so much
About the crocheting, you are now jist practicing so it doesn't matter. But once you get the hang of it and you want to really make something: then you got to go back to the point where there were no mistakes and do it all over. I've had to take out very big parts, unfortunately, but it's part of it. I find it kinda hard to give any other tips not in real life. But maybe other people are better at that. Also, English is not my first language, so sorry for any mistakes!
I'm soooo happy to see you crocheting! I hope you fall in love. I got that same kit to start but in the beginning just find beginner patterns where "gauge doesn't matter." Melanie Ham was a great crochet teacher. She passed away recently but I'd recommend her beginner beanie pattern as a first project. It's very forgiving when you inevitably make mistakes. I'll link it below. Please hold.
Always love your vlogs Ken! I was laughing when you mentioned the narration of the audio book! I have the same problem, totally takes me out of the story when the voice doesn't fit. One of the cozy hobbies I've enjoyed recently is embroidery, they sell these little kits at Michaels with cute designs to follow. To me the learning curb is easier than crochet
Next time you have a crochet session, look up pictures or video of how to hold your set-up! You'll need to create an anchor for your yarn with one of your hands, but I noticed you were missing it. It will make it a lot easier & more pleasant to hold.
As a crochet lady, hearing you say we should be included in STEM just melts my heart. Needed that actually 🥹💕
TRUTH 🎉
same, I knit and crochet and hearing her say that made me feel so validated and fuzzy inside. I needed it too.
That's what STEAM would be: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics 😊. I rarely hear anyone say STEAM, though...
Seriously love this video. I mean, I love all your videos but this is just the right kind of coziness I needed today. Thank you Kennedy 🤎✨
I'm big into fiber arts (spinning fiber into yarn as I type this...well I guess not literally but I will be when I'm done this comment lol). Crochet and Disney dreamlight valley is what I do all day every day
You should do some cozy DIY miniature building kits! I would love to see that! P.s I love all your videos x

ahhhh this is solid info tysm🤎
This vibe is incredible. Hope you’re enjoying Sarah’s books!
I love the Bella Grace magazines. They’re so cute and wholesome. They’re always encouraging you to do cozy stuff.
okay these are OFFICIALLY my favorite vlogs of yours 🤎 the vibessssssss
Saved this vlog for my own cozy day! Love this series 💕 Ideas for future hobbies, legos have been such a fun cozy hobby for me lately :)

As a Southerner, hearing you describe chicken and dumplings had me rolling 😂 Thank you for another great cozy vlog to watch while I'm working! 🖤

Lol as you were cleaning I found myself like bopping my head to the music and then I realized its the instrumental music from cooking mama 😂😂😂
usually the yarn recommends what size crochet hook to use on the label! 🥰
also what pens do you use to color?
