MINI"S!!! Cool lil shop. Made me smile how many bottles they had that are also sitting on my shelf. I've a loooong way to go but getting closer every week, and enjoyin the hell out've the ride. A Roy Cameo!!!! nice...
Ailsa Bay is a malt distillery of Wm. Grant & Sons (Glenfiddich etc.), located on the premises of their grain production Girvan in the Lowlands. Built in 2007. Interesting detail: the Sweet Smoke 1.2 contains 22ppm phenols but measured in the new make. So that is on par with Islay peat levels.
A great couple of stops on a fantastic whisky journey!
More whisky shop videos to come...all the way back to the airport

Thanks MFR. Good info
Have you been to The Whisky Shop San Francisco? A bit expensive but they have a good selection as well as other various Scottish items (kilts etc.).
Yes I bought Glenallachie 12 there and a bunna PX. But not been there for a while
Great video as always. Really enjoying your journey and nice Roy cameo.
Thanks Jimmy
Ailsa Bay is a malt distillery within the Girvan grain distillery. Macallan fine & rare sums it up well.
Thanks Alan
And thanks again! 😁
ROY!
Some of that Aisla Bay probably goes into Smokey Monkey. Good to see Roy at the end. Is there a longer video with him coming next?
No thanks s it for Roy. We were too busy chatting to make a video
