    So funny to see the"new" boat designs echoing boats from the 90s. But with way better outfitting. Fun is fun. It's what got me hooked on whitewater 30 yrs ago! Blood Surfing!
    Great video Wade. So fun.

    My much loved necky chronic has died. Can’t turn up another Chronic, the nova seems like the next best option? 5’6” 165-174 lbs

    Great review! Weighing in at 175 and 5’-8” in height, sounds like the Nova over the Super Nova for downriver Ocoee Play. I have been having a hard time deciding between the two until I saw your review. Heck, I will probably end up with both eventually as you mention earlier in the review.

    Very interesting vs. Super Nova at the upper weight range. A real full slice party going on there? Your on-water reviews are making me look forward to my 2nd WW boat, perhaps a full slice to compliment my Alpha 75?

    • @WadeHarrison

      Full slice and a fast down river creeker like the alpha is such a great combo

    Wade, were you up at the Nantahala today, July 1st? Saw a guy that looked like you as I was leaving. Had a red Dagger Nova, looked like a cosmos Code and Dagger long boat on the roof of the car. Never seen you post any vids from the nantahala but it looked like you.

    hey buddy, love you videos. looking for a good river runner that can run the tellico/ocoee/ etc class II/III+ maybe class IV on occasion. I prefer something that I can drive versus float in. I am 6'2'' 200 lbs..12 feet...older and less flexible than i used to be...:)i've got a jackson 4 fun which i like and a machno large which i have not paddled...owned a jefe and liked it but would prefer a planning hull that isn't too edgy or trippy...i had a nomad and it was a hard boat for me to control in pushy water (cheoah) and it's hole bait (yard sale). i had a liquid logic remix and hated the hard edges..sometimes i like to drift sideways approaching a rapid to check it out..dagger code?

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  2 роки тому +1

      Something to drive and not floating at your size couple options and not the Code.
      The dagger rewind medium or the Pyranha scorch medium both of those will open the river up more the code does not come alive until you put it on steeper bigger stout runs.

    I just picked up a Nova, there’s no manual for outfitting so I have a question about how you remove the front foot shims? Did you have to remove the front pillar? What’s the Hack I’m missing to pull out the foot bulkhead and remove a shim or two?

      @@WadeHarrison thanks for the beta hopefully I can get one or two out without unbuilding. Just for sake of conversation I’m 5-10” 195lbs size 11 shoe . The Nova (should fit better than my Hellbender or XXX ) fits pretty good right out of the plastic wrap.

  • @josh8058
    @josh8058 2 роки тому +1

    What would be the crossover weight where you'd need a supernova? Like you say it seems like there needs to be a size in the middle! Deciding between the 2 is tough! I'm thinking you'd get away being heavier than daggers listed max weight in the nova.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  2 роки тому

      @@josh8058 at 190 you are in that area that actually hard to find a good full slice the Nova going to fit you and feel slight small but its very well balanced and you will throw it around like a boss, but the super will feel so good down river and in a hole you really need to try to demo both if you can
